Floral Hexagon Box

Hello friends!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog, and I am sharing a gift box I created using the hexagon box from the Basic Deep Lid Boxes set.  It was very easy to assemble.  I used papers from DCWV's Gilded Grey stack for it.
After the box was completed, I created the band to go around it.  I loosely wrapped the ribbons around the box to create it, making sure it can be slipped on and off the box easily and trimmed the ribbon to slightly overlap. I hot glued of the ribbon together as previously measured, making sure it didn't adhere the ribbon to the box, only to the other end of the ribbon.
The flower is from the Pretty Purses file.  I kept the center off of it and used wooden buttons instead.
Finally I added a stamped banner, sequins, and a key with lace on it for embellishments.
As you can see, the band slips right off so the box can be opened!

I'm also so excited to share that this box is featured on the A.C. Moore website HERE and on the DCWV website HERE.  YAY!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

DCWV Stackaholic Challenge

Hello crafty friends!  It is that time again...time for the monthly DCWV Stackaholic Challenge!  Here is what I created to inspire you this month.
I used papers from DCWV's Garden Charm stack, as well as a strip of their Vellum with Foil.  I have been creating a lot with that Garden Charm stack.  I love the glossy treatment on so many of the pages!  I also chose to add a bit of Grape Fizz Trendy Twine and some purple sequins.
Here is the card sketch that I used.
And here is the layout sketch.
Join in with our challenge!  Using DCWV paper and the sketches above, create your project for a chance to win some awesome DCWV paper.  All the details can be found on the DCWV blog.

DCWV Mini Notes and Envelopes

Have you ever wanted to just use up a whole stack of paper...just because?  Well, that was exactly what I did with DCWV's DIY Mini Notes & Envelopes stack (available at Michaels stores)!
This stack has all of these adorable envelopes pre-die cut.  I love all of the different shapes and prints on the envelopes!  Honestly, I think the Air Mail envelope is my favorite.  I have wonderful memories using many of those envelopes as a child sending pen-pal letters :)
These are the notes that are included in this stack.  There are 3 to a page and measure 2.5"x6" when cut apart.  I used that top one to write a note to my son's teacher to let her know about a Dr. appointment.  I love all of the different things these can be used for!
So now, armed with 26 of these sweet envelopes and mini notes, I am prepared to tuck notes in lunch bags, book bags and more!  If you love these as much as I do, head on over to your local Michaels store to pick one up!  And yes, using up the whole stack of paper felt really good!

Here is a flip through video I made of this stack so you can see exactly what is inside:

Happy Halloween Stamp Release

Good Morning!  Today I am so excited to share the brand new Happy Halloween stamp set from Annie's Paper Boutique!  It is full of fun Halloween sayings perfect for your holiday crafting.  My DT sisters also created some amazing projects, so stop by the Trendy Twine blog to check those out too.
Here is what I created...
This card was inspired by the sentiments on the Happy Halloween stamp set that are about candy :)  I also used Trick or Treat Trendy Twine around the center panel.
Patterned papers are from DCWV's Eek A Boo stack, candy SVG's are from Miss Kate Cuttables.  The glossy accents on the candies make them look real!
Here is a close up of the sentiment I used from the Happy Halloween stamp set.
Next, I created a pumpkin treat bag using a Orange Chevron Favor Bag.  I stamped on the bottom of the bag with a sentiment from the Happy Halloween Stamp Set and then used a Green Gingham Tag-It and Totally Chocolate Trendy Twine along with another sentiment to make it look like a leaf and stem on a pumpkin.
The stamps in this Happy Halloween Stamp Set really stamp so well!  I have been using them for all my Halloween projects :)  I know you will love them too!

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
Happy Halloween Stamp Set
Trick or Treat Trendy Twine - Purple & Orange Bakers Twine
Totally Chocolate Trendy Twine - Solid Brown Bakers Twine
Green Gingham Tag-Its
