Christmas Layout

Hello crafty friends!  It is my turn to post on the SVG Attic blog.  Christmas has come and gone.  Now what do you do with all of the wonderful pictures you took?  Scrapbook them!
I made a two page layout from Christmas three years ago.  Yeah.  I am THAT far behind.  Anyway, the patterned papers I used are from DCWV's Oh What Fun stack.  They had a great color scheme to match my pictures.
The ornaments that I cut for the backgrounds are from the SDS Ornament Kit at SVG Attic.  I just made them very large to fit on my 12"x12" layouts.
The snowflakes that you see are cut from DCWV's Glitzy Glitter stack and those were also files from the SDS Ornament Kit.  There are lots of great elements in that kit!
To embellish, I used red and green rhinestones, white satin ribbon and Holly Berry Trendy Twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine~ Merry Christmas Poinsettia Card

Merry Christmas to all of you! Today my Trendy Twine sisters and I have created Christmas projects to share with you. Stop by the Trendy Twine blog to see all of them.
I created this elegant poinsettia card using a file from SVG Attic's Poinsettia Passion set.  I used Candy Cane Trendy Twine to create embellishing swirls around the poinsettia.
I also added a small bow of Candy Cane Trendy Twine to the sentiment panel.  The papers I used are from DCWV's Merry Memories and Mercury Glass stacks.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Twine~Christmas Gable Box

Hello crafty friends! Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I decorated a Kraft Gable Box to fill with Christmas goodies!
First, I added paper from DCWV's Oh What Fun stack on the Kraft Gable Box.  I wrapped Candy Cane Trendy Twine around the base of the box for an accent band and embellished it with sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley.
For the tag, I used a Biggie Kraft Tag with Metal Rim, added a die cut snowflake and then lined that with Candy Cane Trendy Twine.  I added a long stamped tag behind the round one and added a few more sequins onto that.  Now it is ready to fill with goodies to put a smile on someone's face!

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Christmas Card in PINK!

Today I wanted to share a Christmas card that is totally non-traditional.
I have this adorable patterned paper from Bo Bunny called Candy Cane Lane.  Isn't it fun?  I tend mostly craft in reds and greens for Christmas, so this was definitely stepping out of my comfort zone, but I love it...probably because of all the pink LOL!
The present stamp is from Mark's Finest Papers and the sentiment is retired from My Craft Spot.  I added lots of sequins and the Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine was the perfect finishing touch.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine~Cardinal Card and Tin

Hello crafty friends! Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I decorated a
Candy Tin with a cardinal theme and made a card to match.
The Candy Tin holds a lot of goodies!  To decorate it, I wrapped Candy Cane Trendy Twine around the top edge of the tin.  I used Christmas washi tape around the bottom edge.  The top was decorated using papers from DCWV's Merry Memories stack and a bow of Candy Cane Trendy Twine.  I added the top decoration to a belly band of cream jute ribbon.
The card that coordinates is a file from SVG Attic's Sending Christmas Cheer set.  I wanted to keep the cardinal fairly simple, so I added a full bow of Candy Cane Trendy Twine on the evergreen branches.  The fun part is that this card has a hole behind the cardinal's wing, through which I added a bit of twine.  It can then be hung on a tree as an ornament!

The bow is Totally Chocolate and Totally Kraft Trendy Twines and the wood grain stamp I used on all of the dark brown paper is from Unity stamps.

12 Days of Christmas Ornaments

Good morning!  Do you remember the 12 days of Christmas treats that I posted about during The Magic of Christmas blog hop?  Well today I am here to show you part 2 of that display.
For all of the tags on my treat boxes, I used files from SDS 12 Days of Christmas Charms. I added the numbers for the days that were part of the Hand-Painted Christmas paper stack by DCWV.  The decorative tag can be hung on a tree after the treat box is opened!

Here is a look at the small tree that fits all of the ornaments perfectly.  I used Holly Berry and Candy Cane Trendy Twines for the ornament hangers.

Teepee Christmas Card

Yesterday I shared a post for Oriental Trading using their fun scrapbooking supplies.  I wanted to share some of the items in a little more depth, so today I will show you this fun teepee style card.  It can be folded flat and the recipient will tie the bow on the side, creating the triangular shape.
The SVG file that I used for this is from SVG Attic's JGW Vintage Valentine set. I used white cardstock from Super 150 Paper Sheets pack and snowflake die cuts from Winter Wonderland Die Cuts. To finish it off, I added sequins and a bow of Grey-Gray crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.
I even added a few sequins on the sides of the card :)
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Christmas Projects for Oriental Trading

Good Friday morning!  I super excited to share some fun Christmas/Winter projects that I created using Oriental Trading's fun scrapbooking supplies.  Here is a look at the whole group that I will be sharing with you in this post.

First up, I created this snowman card.  It was quick to create with the patterned papers in the Winter Wonderland paper pack.  I also used a scalloped border from Winter Wonderland Die Cuts as well as brads from the Christmas embellishment kit.  The sentiment is from the "Happy Holidays" stamp set.
For card #2, I wanted to try a technique that is popular in the crafting world, but I had never used it yet!  It is called triple time stamping.  You keep the layers of white paper stacked on top of each other while stamping so the images all line up.  For this card I used cardstock from Super 150 Paper Sheets pack.  The silver snowflakes are from the Christmas embellishment kit.  I used two stamp sets called Snowflake Scrapbook Stamps and "Happy Holidays" stamps.
This card is a fun teepee style card.
This card is one of my favorites of this set.  Why?  Because the origami tree is actually an ornament!  It is simply held in place on the front of the card by the silver frame anchors, which can be rotated and the ornament is ready to hang on the Christmas tree.  The patterned papers are all from the Christmas/Winter Mat Pack.  The sentiment is a stamp from "Happy Holidays" stamp set.
Next up is a darling gift box snow globe.  I had a lot of fun choosing what Winter Wonderland Die Cuts to use to create the winter scene inside the globe.  I used patterned paper from Winter Wonderland Paper Pack and cardstock from Super 150 Paper Sheets pack.  The SVG files I used for this are from SVG Attic's Snow Flurries set.
This card is another unique one!  It is a tri-fold card that is double sided.  It can create a beautiful display or you can loosen the brads and the snowflakes can be used as ornaments.  I used patterned paper from Winter Wonderland Paper Pack and cardstock from Super 150 Paper Sheets pack.  The snowflakes are cut from DCWV's Glitzy Glitter stack and the sentiment is from the "Happy Holidays" stamp set.  The file I used to create this card is from SVG Attic's Ornament Kit.
The patterned papers on my final card are all from the Christmas/Winter Mat Pack and cardstock is from Super 150 Paper Sheets pack.  I used washi tape from the Red Washi Tape set as well as the Christmas Washi Tape set. The sentiment is from the "Happy Holidays" stamp set and the cute brads are from the Christmas embellishment kit.
Whew!  That was a long post!  I hope you enjoyed seeing all of these creations as much as I did making them.  It is always fun to use scrapbooking products from Oriental Trading.  I definitely recommend you checking out all that they have to offer in that department.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
