Autumn Leaves Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Once again, it's my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  I used this month's free with $50 SumMore Fun purchase stamp set to create this card.  It is Raisin Boat's Arboretum Leaves set and you have today and tomorrow to take advantage of that deal!
Using a stamp platform, I stamped the leaves from the Arboretum Leaves set onto white paper using Distress Oxide Inks in the following colors:  Aged Mahogany, Fired brick, Rusty Hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, and Peeled Paint.  Once dry, I cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut with a 0.4 offset.  I added a white matted DCWV Gold threaded Burlap paper banner to the front of the card base.  I glued the yellow, orange, and burgundy leaves down, then popped up the green leaf with foam tape and added Trendy Twine in the following colors, Totally Pumpkin, Totally Lemon, and Totally Red.
At the bottom of the card, I stamped a sentiment from that stamp set in brown ink, then added three dots of Gold Pearl Pen to finish it off.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Donut Birthday Card

Good morning friends!  Today I am sharing a card that my 7 year old son created for the Trendy Twine blog.
He cut out paper that he wanted to use from the Pebbles Birthday Wishes paper pad, which included a ticket that had a donut on it, of course!  He embellished the card with washi tape, Krazy For Kraft Trendy Twine, and rhinestones.
Here he is with the completed card!

Annie's Paper Boutique ~ Cute Witch Cards

Hi all!  I'm popping in for the Trendy Twine blog to show you how simple printables make card making!  I created 9 of these cute witch cards using Annie Paper Boutique's Happy Halloween Cute Witch Printable Tags.  You still have time to get some of these made before Halloween!
Here is a closeup of one.  They are all made the same way, I just used different patterned papers and washi tape.
The Happy Halloween Cute Witch Printable Tag prints off 11 per sheet, so I had extras from my Treat Packets and used them for these cards! I matted it with a decorative square die cut and mounted that with foam tape to the card base.  Simple, quick, but still super cute to send out to family and friends!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

T-Rex Shaped Card

Hello all!  Just a quick post from me today of this adorable dinosaur card I made for one of my nephews.  The svg I used is from SnapDragon Snippets.  Or if you have the retired SVG Attic set called Dino Party it can be found in there too.
I used BoBunny patterned paper for the card itself, then accented with solid colored cardstock.  The circles on the cheeks were simply punched with circle punches.  I also added brown chalk ink around the edges of the cut pieces to add some visual interest.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Scattered Leaves Card

Hello crafty friends!  I am on the SumMore Fun blog with this fall card.  The stamp set I used on it is Raisin Boat's Arboretum Leaves and is free with your $50+ order from SumMore Fun through the month of October or it can be purchased for only $5.99.
I started with a piece of kraft cardstock measuring 4"x5.25".  I used Distress Oxide Inks in the following colors to stamp on the kraft:  Aged Mahogany, Fired brick, Rusty Hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Squeezed Lemonade, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Pine Needles, Peeled Paint, and Antique Linen.  On the large stamps, I started with the darker color on my stamp platform, then inked with the lighter color around the edges of the stamp and re-stamped them.  I then spritzed a fine mist of water over it to create the oxidized look.
The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black and matted with 2 other banner strips before securing it to the card front with a brad.  I also added 3 brads among the leaves.  To finish the card, I matted the kraft layer onto yellow and red cardstock for an extra pop of color.  I had a lot of fun incorporating all but one of the stamps from the Arboretum Leaves stamp set into this card!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Halloween Treat Packets

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I had so much fun making a spiderweb out of Black Licorice Trendy Twine for my last post that I decided to give it a whirl again, but this time on a treat packet.  Actually, I made a duo of them for my post today!
I started with a Spring Green Treat Packet and added a Happy Halloween Cute Witch Printable Tag that was matted onto black cardstock to the front.  After adhering Autumn Sequins to the witch panel, I set to work on the top flap.
Using Black Licorice Trendy Twine, I simply wrapped it around the flap to make a wheel spoke pattern.  Then I ran the Trendy Twine under the previous Trendy Twine in a semi circle pattern.  Finally, I let a piece of twine hang down on the right side to attach a die cut spider to!
For the Mango Orange Treat Packet, I made it in a very similar way, using a Happy Halloween Cute Witch Printable Tag and Autumn Sequins.  However, I went with a different design on the flap.
The Black Licorice Trendy Twine was wrapped around the flap first straight across, then an X pattern.  The final touch was a bow of Trendy Twine on which I added a round charm.

This month the Midnight Trendy Twine Sampler on sale!

Birthday Cupcake Candle Holder

Hello and happy Friday!  Today I wanted to share this cute candle holder that I recently made for one of my sons' teacher's birthday.
I used SnapDragon Snippets' file #230364 in the Silhouette store and my Cameo to create it.  It was very simple to assemble.  I used red line tape for a secure hold.  The tag was tied to the top with Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine.
The papers I used are from The Paper Studio's Birthday Extravaganza stack.  The candle I placed inside is meant to look like a cupcake.  It was from Dollar Tree!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Witchy Halloween Night Card

Hello all!  I am back with another Halloween card for the SumMore Fun blog today.  I used a sentiment stamp from the Victorine Originals Halloween Kids stamp set, die cuts, and patterned paper to create it.
I found some lime green patterned paper that would create a fun scene for the Spellbinders witch and bat die cuts.  A huge THANK YOU to my crafty friend, Lisa, for sending that die cut set my way!  I die cut one layer of black cardstock and 2 layers of yellow craft foam and glued them together.  I like the yellow shadow effect that made, almost like the moonlight hilighting the witch and bats!  The lime panel was mounted onto a black die cut of a GMD Loopy Rectangle die.
For the sentiment stamp, I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with Zing! Black Glitter embossing powder.  It really gave the sentiment sparkle and shine!  Perfect for bringing attention to the sentiment.  The final touch was adding enamel dots in coordinating colors.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Halloween Treat Envelopes

Good morning!   It's Levi again, posting for the Trendy Twine blog. This time I made some tasty Halloween treats!
I started with 5x5 pieces of paper from DCWV's Spooky Halloween stack. Using the envelope punch board, I punched and scored at 2 inches. Once I folded on the score lines you have to add a glue dot to keep the front flap shut.
To finish them off you wrap the twine around the center. The colors of Trendy Twine I used were Totally PumpkinOrangesicleTotally Black, and Gray Licorice. A snack sized Hershey's bar fits perfectly inside. That is how you make a Halloween treat holder.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Kick Cancer's Butt Card

Hello and good Wednesday morning!  I am on the SumMore Fun blog today with this card.  October is a great month to remember those who are battling cancer.  This card went to the mom of a friend of mine who is doing just that.  The stamps I used on it are from the SumMore Fun You Can stamp set.  Pssst...you can get that whole set for ONLY $5.99 right now!
The focal point of the card was created by taking a 4" square of white cardstock and the cancer ribbon stamp from the You Can stamp set and doing the wreath builder technique.  The inks I used were Distress Oxides in Dusty Concord and Pine Needles.  After that was fully dry, I die cut around it with a GMD Pleated Square die.  I added an accent on top of that with another die cut square with a Totally Grape Trendy Twine cancer ribbon and enamel dots.
I used a couple colors of patterned paper for the background of the card and wrapped Totally Grape and Twisted Lime Trendy Twines around it.  The sentiment is also from the You Can stamp set and was stamped in black.  The finishing touch was a few more glitter enamel dots.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Halloween Candy Tin

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog. This month we are featuring Black Licorice Trendy Twine as well as Candy Tins.  This is what I created for today!
I added candy to the Candy Tin...the most important part, right?!  It held 2 snack size Reese's and 2 snack size Hershey's bars (stacked on top of each other).  I used patterned paper to wrap around the tin as a belly band, then added the tag.  For the tag, I used a Kraft Large Tag-It, Black Licorice Trendy Page DotBlack Licorice Trendy Twine, a stamped sentiment from APB Happy Halloween stamp set, washi tape, and Lime Licorice Batty Sequins.  I created a spiderweb in the corner of the Kraft Large Tag-It by punching small holes , then using a large needle to thread the Black Licorice Trendy Twine through them.

Mummy Halloween Card

Hello and welcome back to another SumMore Fun Wednesday post!  Today I am sharing this cute Halloween card that features stamps from the Victorine Originals Halloween Kids stamp set and the Raisin Boat Strokes of Pride stamp set.
First I created the background on white cardstock with the brush stroke stamp from Strokes of Pride stamp set, stamp platform, and Distress Oxides.  The colors I used include Fossilized Amber, Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Lucky Clover, and Spiced Marmalade.  I then smooshed some watered down Black Soot over the whole background, then used a blending tool to distress the edges with Black Soot.
The sentiment from the Halloween Kids stamp set was also stamped onto the background with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  The Halloween Kids mummy was stamped onto a scrap piece of white paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and fussy cut with my Brother Scan N Cut.  The face was watercolored with Antique Linen Distress Oxide.  The black shadow layer was a 0.8" shadow of the mummy also cut with the Brother Scan N Cut.  I adhered the mummy to the background with foam tape.  The finishing touch was a trio of enamel dots.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
