Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  Today the Trendy Gals are sharing Christmas projects over on the Trendy Twine blog.  Make sure to hop over there to see them all!  Here is the card I created.
I started with lots of patterned papers from the 6x6 Echo Park Wise Men Still Seek Him pad.  The stamps were from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set.  I stamped them with VersaMark and heat embossed with gold powder.  Isn't that linework stable stamp wonderful?!
I used Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine to line both sides of the center panel and added a bow of it underneath the stamped image.  Additional products I used include GMD Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die, GMD Doily die, Cottage Cutz Stitched Circle die, ATG, and foam tape.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Woodland Christmas Treat Box

Hello all!  I am back with another project for the Trendy Twine blog today. It is such a fun time of the year to give treats, so that is what I have to share with you.
I started with a Clear Chocolate Box and filled it with Hershey's Kisses.  Next, I decorated a Cranberry Large Tag-It with papers from The Paper Studio's 6x6 Woodland Wonderland pad and a GMD Deer die cut.  The sentiment is from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set and I embellished with a Christmas Mint Trendy Page Dot and sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley.
To attach the tag to the box, I wrapped Christmas Mint Trendy Twine around it and finished it off with bow through the hole of the tag.  Now it is ready to be given as a gift!

Shabby vs. Chic Christmas Tags

Hello all!  I am back with more Christmas projects for SumMore Fun, but this time it isn't a card, it's tags!  They feature the Victorine Originals Cactus Pine and Palm Christmas rubber stamp.
First up the chic tag.  I stamped the pine image of the Cactus Pine and Palm Christmas stamp onto a white tag-it with VersaMark ink using my stamp platform.  I embossed with Zing silver glitter embossing powder then watercolored the image with Weathered Wood Distress Ink and Sapphire Swift Sparkling Unicorn Spit sample.  I love the shimmer in that Unicorn Spit!  To finish off the tag, I used a In The Navy Trendy Page Dot and Classic Navy Trendy Twine.
Now for the shabby tag!   I stamped the pine image of the Cactus Pine and Palm Christmas stamp onto a kraft tag-it with VersaMark ink using my stamp platform.  I embossed with a dark green embossing powder then colored the image with Crayola watercolor pencils and went over it all with an aqua brush.  The finishing touches on this one were a Candy Cane Trendy Page Dot and Holly Berry Trendy Twine.  Now both of these tags are ready for adding to gifts!  Which one did you prefer, shabby or chic?

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Seminarian Christmas Cards

Good morning!  Today I have a post that is a little different.  This year, I decided to make Christmas cards for all of the seminarians studying to become priests from our diocese.  All of these cards were made using patterned papers from The Paper Studio's Away in a Manger paper pad.
In all, there are 24 cards that I created this year from this paper pad.  Two years ago, I also made several cards from it, and you can see those HERE.
You can see closeups of all the cards I made this time around...

As you can see, I kept them simple, only using gold pearl pen dots and seam binding ribbon for embellishments.
I also used several dies from Gina Marie Designs to add visual interest to layers.
I was pleased with how they all turned out!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Three Wise Men Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a Christmas card that features the Victorine OriginalsThree Wise Men and Wishing You The Joys of the Season stamps from SumMore Fun.
I started with patterned papers from the Echo Park Wise Men Still Seek Him 6x6 pad.  The wise men and star were from the Three Wise Men stamp.  I used burgundy patterned paper, my embossing buddy, then stamped with VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder.  The Wishing You The Joys of the Season sentiment was on white paper and I also stamped that with VersaMark but embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I seem to be embossing a lot lately!  The only embellishment I added was a series of GMD Patriotic sparkle enamel dots.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Chevron Christmas Treats

Hello and welcome to December with Trendy Twine!  Our featured twine for the month is Christmas Mint Trendy Twine which is a darling twist of lime green, bright red, and white.  Here is what I created for today's post.
I started with Light Green Chevron and Red Chevron Treat Bags and added an embossed sentiment from the APB Merry and Bright stamp set.  To emboss on the bag, make sure to use an embossing buddy, then I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink and Zing glitter black embossing powder and used a preheated heat gun.  It worked perfectly!
Once the bags were filled with treats, I added simple treat toppers from patterned paper.  The tags were fun to create!  I used the following APB products for them:  Kraft Tag-It, Christmas Mint Trendy Page Dot, Christmas Shaker Medley, and the sentiment from the APB Merry and Bright stamp set.  I also wound Christmas Mint Trendy Twine around the topper, threaded it through the tag and tied it in a bow.  I also cut a length of Christmas Mint Trendy Twine and saturated it with laundry starch and wrapped it around a pen barrel.  Once dry, it made and adorable curlicue to add to the tag as well!  Now these are ready to give as stocking stuffers.

Poinsettia Merry Christmas Card

Hello and Happy December!  Today I am on the SumMore Fun blog with this elegant Christmas card that uses two Raisin Boat stamp sets, Dear Santa and Merry Nature.
The poinsettia and pinecones from Dear Santa were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and watercolored with Distress Inks.  After they were dry, I cut them out with my Scan N Cut.  The sentiment is from the Merry Nature stamp set and is also stamped in VF Onyx Black.  The other items I used to create this card include GMD scalloped stitched rectangle dies, GMD Floral Frame dies, paper from TPS Rustic Noel, ATGFoam tape, and red Pearl Pen.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Shark Birthday Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a card and envelope I recently created for my shark-loving nephew.  It was created using files from Bird's SVG's Jawsome collection.
I used papers from DCWV's Coastal stack for all the prints.
I really loved the pearl foil treatment on some of the papers.  It added so much without being too girly :)  On the front of the card, I added two manual die cuts of GMD Tropical Fish #1 to fill in a little of the blank space.  I also added black pearl pen for the pupils in the eyes.
I chose to use the tag from the Jawsome collection instead of the sentiment included with this card.  I really loved how the tag looked inside, especially with that bite out of it!  I finished the tag off with Sky Trendy Twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Thank You in Pink & Gold

Hello and welcome back to another Wednesday with SumMore Fun!  Before I dive into my project for today, I want to tell you about the stamp set I used, called Talking In Circles.  That stamp set makes creating cards a snap!  Do yourself a favor and check it out on SumMore Fun because you can get the whole 4x6" stamp set for as little as $0.99!  Yes, it is truly that reduced of a price!
Now on to my card...
I stamped the thank you circle from the Raisin Boat Talking In Circles set using tan ink.  I die cut several elements of this card with manual dies to layer it how I wanted.  With a couple sheets of pretty papers and the Talking In Circles stamp set you can have a card done very quickly.  I embellished this card with burlap ribbon and dots of gold pearl pen.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Thankful Note Card

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  With Thanksgiving only a couple days away, I thought a thankful themed note card would be very appropriate for this post.
I started with a Natural Scallop Note Card with Kraft Small Envelope.  I stamped images from APB Hello Fall Planner Stamp set using Distress Oxides in Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade.  The sentiment stamp is from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and was stamped in brown ink.  I inked around the outside with brown chalk ink, tied some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine around it and adhered some Autumn Sequins.
I even decorated the Kraft Small Envelope with the images from the APB Hello Fall Planner Stamp set!  I also thought these notecards would be adorable as place cards for special occasions...what do you think?

Train Birthday Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Today I am on the SumMore Fun blog with this train birthday card.  The Victorine Originals 1502 train stamp is one I have had for several years...in fact when I created with this stamp a couple of years ago and shared it on Facebook, it started the ball rolling for me to be a part of the SumMore Fun design team!
I started by stamping the train onto gray flecked cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and my stamp platform.  I wanted the front part of the train track to stick out from the circle die cut, so I fussy cut around that area and traced around the outline of the die so I would know where I wanted the stamp to end up.
Then I slid the circle die under the area of the train track that I had fussy cut and lined up the die with the circle I had drawn on the paper.  I then die cut it with my Spellbinders Platinum 6.
Here it is all matted with a black circle and popped up with foam tape on the card.  I used torn edge dies as well as patterned and metallic papers to add to the rustic feel of the card.
I thought the card needed a sentiment, so I got out the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and stamped it in black on the gray flecked paper I used Gray Licorice Trendy Twine and Black Pearl Pen dots for embellishments.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Fall Twine & Tag

Hello everyone!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a twine & tag post.  I fell in love with the Happy Fall Pumpkins Print & Punch Tags I used on my treat bags earlier this month, so I decided to use that to make a festive fall tag!
I started with a Spring Green Large Tag-It and added a banner of DCWV printed cork for a fun fall texture.  The Happy Fall Pumpkins Print & Punch Tag (cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut) is the focal point and I matted it with a scalloped circle die cut.  I used Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle to adhere Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine around the circle and the tiny bow.  At the top of the tag, I used a Kraft Brown Trendy Page Dot and more Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine for a tassel.  For the final embellishment, I glued on three Chocolate Truffle Sequins to the top right side.
