Trendy Bakers Twine~Bunny Treat Holder

Hello all!  Welcome back from a bit of a break.  Spring is in the air, and with it, I have a cute Easter project for the Trendy Twine blog to share featuring Watermelon Taffy and Pink Limeade Trendy Twines.
When I saw the Bunny Candy Wrap file from My Scrap Chick, I knew I had to make it.  It was perfect to dress up with Trendy Twine, of course!  I added Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine to the center of the bow and also three lines of it around the whole bow tie band.
On the egg, I used Pink Limeade Trendy Twine to create decorative lines, and Raspberry Cupcake Sequins all adhered with Bearly Art precision glue.  A Hershey's candy bar fits perfectly inside and can either be taken out from the top or by removing the bow tie band.  Isn't it an adorable Easter treat?
Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Sunflower Box Card

Good morning!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a delightful fall box card.  Sunflowers are such a beautiful sign of fall and they always make me smile.  This one features our Trendy Twine of the month, Totally Chocolate.
I started with the Sunflower Envelope Box Card file from My Scrap Chick and cut it all out with my Silhouette Cameo.  For the center of the sunflower, I really wanted a lot of visual interest, so I wrapped the whole thing in a spiral of Totally Chocolate Trendy Twine.  To do that, I started with red lined tape in the center, then towards the outside I glued it down with Bearly Art precision tip glue.  I also glued Chocolate Truffle sequins to the center of the flower and the card front.  The sentiment was from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and was stamped in SB.com Leather Ink.  That same color of ink was used on the edges of most of the die cuts before assembly to make the card look a bit more rustic.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Wishes Cake Card

Birthday cards are always something I am in need of!  I made multiples of this one since it was so cute and simple.  The SVG file is My Scrap Chick's Wishes Candle Card.
I stamped the sentiment from Pink and Main's Wishes stamp set with Versamark ink and embossed it with white powder.  The papers are from The Paper Studio's Birthday Extravaganza pad.  Adhesives used were ATG, and Lineco Adhesive.

Stacked Cupcakes Birthday Card

Hello all!  This card was created for a sweet 3 year old.  Perfect, right?!
I used a My Scrap Chick file called Stacking Cupcakes.  The patterned papers are from Echo Park's Beautiful Life 6x6 paper pad.
I inked the individual cuts with brown chalk ink.  The sentiment stamp is from a retired My Craft Spot set.  The only embellishing I did was a few doodles with white gel pen and white Nuvo Crystal Drops.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Apron Card with Trendy Twine

With mother's day only a month away, it is time to start thinking about projects for that occasion!
My project today for the Trendy Twine Blog is an apron card using a file from My Scrap Chick.  Of course I used lots of the beautiful Tickled Pink Trendy Twine on it!
The bow on the heart, the waistband and the tie around the neck were all made with the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine.  I also added faux stitching around the apron to make it look like a real apron.  The paper I used was from Authentique's Sweetness 6x6 paper pad.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Girl Baptismal Card

My niece was baptized yesterday, and I wanted to show you the card I created for her.
I love how elegant it turned out!  I used an embossing folder with crosses on it for the background.  The scalloped oval and 2 layers of the cross are popped up with thin foam tape for lots of dimension.  The cross itself is from My Scrap Chick.  I used a different swirly embossing folder for the white oval behind the cross.  I used liquid pearls on the pink scalloped oval and along the left side.
The white satin bow and the sunflower flat backed pearl finished off the card.  The banner was stamped with the words Faith, Hope and Love.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hot Cocoa: MCS Day #3

Welcome to Day #3 of My Craft Spot's Christmas stamp release!  Thanks for joining me again today.  Today I am sharing what I made with the all-new Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set.  When I saw the Hot Cocoa sentiment I knew right away what I was going to make.  This hot cocoa holder from My Scrap Chick was the perfect match :)
Here is a closer look.  For the tag, I stamped the sentiment then layered that circle with a green one and used a Tiny Doilies 2 die cut as the base.  The finishing touches were the twine bow, jingle bell and Christmas Candy Sequins.  I also added glitter to the white snowflake and along the top of the frosty mug rim.
Over at the My Craft Spot blog, there are lots of other wonderful projects created with the brand new Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set. Be sure to check them out and leave a comment there for your chance to win today's prize, a $10 gift certificate to My Craft Spot!  Be sure to visit again tomorrow for another project from this stamp release!

Steampunk Potion Bottle

Today I am sharing a potion bottle that I created using the Midnight Manor Trio files from My Scrap Chick.  I usually make cute and fun Halloween things, but I had a lot of fun using Graphic 45's Steampunk Spells paper for this.
Here is what the top looks like...
And the bottom.  I wrapped Orange Licorice Trendy Twine around it several times.  It coordinated with the paper so well!
For the knob on the top I covered it in black rhinestones and wrapped more twine around the bottom half.  I added the bow of crinkle ribbon with a bottlecap on it.  For the bottlecap, I punched a design from the paper and used crackle accents on it to add to the vintage/spooky feel.  Then finally I added a skeleton tag that hangs from the knob.
I am entering this in the My Scrap Chick Halloween challenge, so if you like this project, please head over to My Scrap Chick's blog and VOTE for it by clicking on the tiny "Like" under the picture of it.  Thank you!!

Rose Love You Card

Welcome to World Cardmaking Day 2014!

Today I am participating in OWH Stars and Stamps world cardmaking day blog hop!
I created this card using patterned papers that I received from Hazel...Thank you!  The doily and rose die cut are from My Scrap Chick.  The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers and I added a bow of Trendy Twine around it.  I also popped the sentiment banner up with thin foam tape that is from Oriental Trading.  If you haven't seen that tape, you need to check it out!  It is perfect for OWH cards!  Finally, in the top right hand corner, I added three white enamel dots.
If you are inspired to make cards for OWH, please visit THIS page to see the current needs that Operation Write Home has.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Bumblebee Bookmark

Today I am a guest designer for Little Scrap Pieces.  The theme for this weeks challenge is Tag...You're It!  For my project I used the bookmark and bee tag files from My Scrap Chick.
The patterned paper is from the Modern Bouquet stack by Recollections. The yellow ribbon on top is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces.
Isn't that little bee so sweet :)  We had some bees buzzing around our plants outside recently...just another sign of summer!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Graduation Card and Gift Box

My oldest son just graduated from kindergarten!  What a fun experience for him!  He was so excited for it and was talking about it for weeks before hand.  To make it extra special for him, I made these projects and I am happy to say, he loved them both.

This diploma card was made using SVG files from the Graduation Trio set at My Scrap Chick.  I thought the whole design was so clever!
This just shows the dimension that I added to the different layers of the card.  I made an envelope for the card using the polka dot paper you see behind the card.
This graduation hat was from the Graduation Day SVG kit from SVGCuts.  I decided to make it with cardstock from DCWV's Grade School stack because I thought it encompassed the kindergarten theme very well.  I made the tassel following the instructions that SVGcuts showed in their video tutorial for this kit. It was easy peasy!
Here it is opened showing little goodies that were inside :)
I hope you enjoyed these projects!  I think they fit perfectly for the  Gift Packaging Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and for the Clearly iStamp Celebration Challenge.

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Rose Mother's Day Cards

I bought a 6x6 paper pad on clearance from Hobby Lobby after Valentine's Day this year. It is called Love You by the Paper Studio.  I had never bought paper that size before, but many cardmakers were saying how they love that size and they make a goal to use up the entire pad of paper and see how many cards they get out of it.  If you are interested, you can see an article about it here. Well, some of the prints in the stack are definitely love themed, but others are more general.  I didn't want to wait to start using it, so I made some mother's day cards using it.

This first one I based off of a sketch from Operation Write Home, after all, that is what I was making the cards for.  They have so many helpful sketches to utilize and this one was sketch #123.
The beautiful rose that is on these cards is from My Scrap Chick.  I did not use all the layers on it since OWH prefers to keep the overall depth of a card as minimal as possible, but I think it still turned out lovely!
Here is the second style that I made using the scraps from the previous cards.  Same paper and flower, different layout.
And a closeup of the rose...
This is a picture of the first 6 cards I made from this paper pack.  I will keep you updated on more cards that I make with it!

Have a wonderful day!

Scrapbook Page

This is the beginning page for the scrapbook I am making my Mother-In-Law.  It is her birthday today and I was able to get the pictures from Easter of all the grandkids in layouts for her gift.  The only problem is that I almost always do double page layouts, so the first page in the scrapbook was blank.  So this is what I came up with to fill it!  The album itself is a beautiful brown with two butterflies in the teal/aqua families on the front, so I thought this matched quite well.  The scalloped mat is from My Scrap Chick, label #7.  All the paper is from DCWV's Industrial Chic Stack.  I really like the way the writing lines add visual interest as stripes on the paper.  It is such a unique stack!

A close up of the elements I included at the bottom of the page.  The numbers were just cut out from one of the pages of paper and pop-dotted for added dimension.

The buttons are just random ones from a package I bought from Hobby Lobby and the one on the left is actually a "button" from one of the pages of paper that I used my round 14 Epiphany Crafts Shape Tool with to make it look like a real button.

I hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by!
