Victorine Originals Challenge ~ Mood Board #12

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the Victorine Originals blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
I started out by stamping the VO Large Sunflower stamp onto watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing it with clear embossing powder. I then did a "triple time stamping" technique by using three different sizes of GMD stitched rectangle dies evenly spaced, to cut the stamped image.  Each of those panels was layered with black cardstock underneath.
I watercolored the top and bottom stamped panels with Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Walnut Stain, and Peeled Paint.  The middle and top layers are popped up with foam tape.  I added some clear Nuvo Crystal Drops to the sunflower to add a little more visual interest.  Last, but not least, I stamped the sentiment from the VO Floral and Sayings stamp set, added a wooden button and Lemon Tart Trendy Twine.

Here is the wonderful mood board for the current challenge:
Head on over to the Victorine Originals blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s.  We can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board. With fruits of the harvest and gorgeous fall colors for inspiration, the possibilities are endless. Remember your project doesn't have to be Harvest only. Halloween Candy from Oriental Trading

Hello all!  Are you in the middle of planning your Halloween like I am?  A huge part of that is getting treats for all the trick-or-treaters that come to my house.  I have these goodies ready to go and they all came from Oriental Trading.
Believe it or not, ALL of that came from only 2 bags.  Hershey’s® All Time Greats Chocolate Candy Mix and a non-chocolate option of  Welch’s® Fruit Snacks Halloween Medley.  Check out those huge bags!
I added them to my Peanuts® Halloween Bowl.  Look at that wonderful variety!
There are a few extra special kids that I like to make sweet treats for, so I created these candy envelopes using Halloween Basic Pattern Paper Assortment, Glue Dots, Envelope Punch Board, Halloween Trendy Twines and two circle punches (0.75" and 1").
Here is a close up of one.
To create these, cut your paper 5"x5".  Line up the first side at 2"on the Envelope Punch Board, punch and score, then follow each side lining up the previous score lines with the line on the EPB.  Round the corners, then only fold 3 of the 4 score lines, keeping one of the short sides unfolded.  I used the Glue Dots to attach the flaps.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

True Love Card

Hello my crafty friends!  Today I am sharing a card that features GMD Slash Stitched Oval dies.
I wanted those dies to be the focal point of the card, so I stamped the sentiment from Pink & Main's True Love stamp set onto paper from DCWV's Hello Darlin' stack.  There was a panel in the papers that had the gold oval on it and it was the perfect diameter to use with the GMD Slash Stitched Oval dies!
Additional products used are:  GMD Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die, GMD Soft Pink Pearls, Limeade and Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twines, ATG and foam tape.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Every Family Has A Story

Happy Tuesday! I am sharing this bright scrapbook layout on the Trendy Twine blog today.
The main color of Trendy Twine that I used on this layout is Lime Licorice.  It is a Halloween twist, but as you can see, it can be used for so many non-holiday projects!
The patterned paper I used is from DCWV's Confetti stack.  I cut the words using glossy black vinyl and my Silhouette Cameo.  Embellishments include a doily, die cut tag, GMD Paradise enamel dots, and Prima flowers.  For the tassel on the tag, I used the Lime Licorice Trendy Twine and tied a bow around it with Totally Pink Trendy Twine.
At the bottom of the layout, I glued more of the Lime Licorice Trendy Twine in a swirl to the page and added another flower.
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Halloween Trio Cards

Hello all!  I am back with another SVG Attic creation today!  This time I created three Halloween trio cards from the JGW Welcome to Boo-Ville set.
These cards were all so simple to assemble.  The hardest part for me was deciding on what papers to use!  I ended up using DCWV's Fall and Halloween Basics stack for the card bases and their Eek-a-Boo 6x6 stack for the strips of paper.
These cards can be as simple or elaborate as you want!  I kept them pretty simple, adding only a sentiment from CDD Ghostly Greetings stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  The bat card has Orange Licorice Trendy Twine on it.
I added GMD enamel dots to the first two cards and black sequins to the third to change it up a bit.

Here is a look at the set I used from SVG Attic:

Kids' Halloween Fun with Oriental Trading

Hello everyone!  Halloween will be here before we know it, so I got started on some fun Halloween crafting with my kids.  In our house, we love fun Halloween things, not creepy, so this is what we made.  These products that Oriental Trading sent me were absolutely perfect!
First up the GOODIES!  What is Halloween without these?!  I love the selection of Halloween Candy that OT offers.  For this grouping, I chose an allergy friendly Chewy Candy Assortment, Peanuts Halloween stickersLarge Beam Flashlight Keychains and Toy Filled Jack-O'-Lanterns.
The Peanuts Halloween Bowl was perfect to hold it all.  This is a closer look at what is inside the Toy Filled Jack-O'-Lanterns.  They each hold a spider ring and one other assorted toy.
Next up, my boys and I did a little Halloween crafting! Oriental Trading has several things that fall into that category, but we chose to decorate with fun foam faces Pumpkin Decorating Kit.

My youngest son wanted to decorate the foam pumpkin and chose such a happy face to put on it!
My two older boys decorated White Mini Pails.  The foam faces were a little large for them, but we just didn't use all of the foam elements that were included in each set.  They enjoyed making them look goofy!
These buckets held LOTS of candy!
All in all, it was a great evening spent having lots of Halloween fun!  A huge thank you to Oriental Trading for sending us these wonderful items to create with.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Mini Fall Treat Box

Happy Thursday! I am sharing this sweet fall treat box on the Trendy Twine blog today.
Fall is definitely in the air so this sweet little 2x2" Kraft Box is decorated accordingly!  I added paper from DCWV's Sweater Weather stack on the outside then I jazzed it up.  First thing was to use a Sky Tag-Its and use stamps from the Hello Fall Planner Stamp set on it.  I stamped them with a dark brown ink.  The images were cut around and I also added a shadow layer behind them.  A few Autumn Sequins and the tag was complete!
The front of the box has a small die cut doily, a leaf from the Hello Fall Planner Stamp, and Autumn Sequins.  Last, but certainly not least, I wrapped the whole box with Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine and tied it in a bow on the top.
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Hope Has Wings Card

Hello all!  Happy Wednesday. Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals blog with this card.
I started by stamping the wings from the VO Wings stamp set on vellum, heat embossing it and fussy cutting around them.  The card base uses paper from DCWV's Minty Lace and Paper Lace 6x6" stacks.  I used white satin ribbon along the top and double sided pink satin ribbon to make the breast cancer ribbon between the wings.
To finish off the card, I added a tag with a sentiment from the VO Wings stamp set and put a tie of Pink Midnight Trendy Twine on it.   A few dots of white Nuvo Crystal Drops and it was done!
Here is a look at the stamps I used:

Remember, we have our Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

Fishing Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday!  I have a masculine birthday card to share with you that uses a stamp set from Gina Marie Stamps called Fishing Stamps.
I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped images and a sentiment from that stamp set on it using Versafine Onyx Black ink and my Stamp Perfect tool.  I die cut a square around the focal images with the GMD Up & Down In & Out Cut Square die set.  I then colored the fish with colored pencils and inked up water using a torn piece of paper and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.
The whole white area was cut with a GMD Stitched Rectangle die.  The square with the fish was popped up with scotch foam tape for extra dimension.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The World Is Your Oyster Card

Hello crafty friends!  Today I have another card to share with you that uses Gina Marie Designs dies from Scrapbook Outlet.

I used the GMD Spring Flower Arrangements Dies cut from white cardstock.  I also embossed them using a rubber embossing mat in my Big Shot.  They were the perfect accent to the saying and papers from DCWV's Blue China stack.
A silver doily, blue crinkled seam binding, and enamel dots from GMD Iris Sparkle and GMD Sophisticated sets were the finishing touches!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
