Trendy Bakers Twine~Firecracker Bag

Hello all!  This month we are sharing patriotic projects on the Trendy Twine blog.  It is always fun to use the patriotic twines of Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine and Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine!  Today I am sharing a "firecracker" treat bag.
I started by adhering strips of scrap papers from BoBunny Celebrating Freedom paper pad to the Kraft Tin Tie Bag.  I thought the stars and stripes paper looked like a firecracker, so I ran with that idea.  To create the wick of the firecracker, I took 3 long strands of  Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine, taped the center of the strands to the table, then proceeded to braid it using 2 strands together.  Bearly Art glue adhered it well to the bag.
I thought the front looked a little empty, so I added a sentiment strip.  The stars stamps are from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set and were stamped with Scrapbook.com Cardinal hybrid ink.  The USA stamp is from a retired Raisin Boat stamp set and was stamped in SB.com Midnight Blue hybrid ink.  Once that was glued to the bag, I added sequins from both the Blue Berry sequin mix and Jolly Shaker Medley.  I love using products for something other than their intended purpose, so I was happy to use two Christmas items on this project!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

These patriotic samplers are a wonderful way to get several colors of Trendy Twine and are on sale this month!  Each color is ten yards in length and is wound on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Treats To Make You Smile

Hello all!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with these treat boxes.  They are all decked out with uplifting sentiments to make the recipients smile!  I just love how red, white and blue can be go-to colors for any season or event.
I started with Mini To Go Boxes and filled them with an assortment of non meltable candy since these were for a outdoor get together (socially distanced!).  I knew right away I wanted to use the uplifting sentiments from the Choose Happy stamp set on Tag-Its, so I started with some Navy Tag-Its and stamped on those with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder.  I then added washi tape to the bottom of the tag and a Kraft Brown Trendy Page Dot and Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine to the top.  I adhered the tag to the top of the box with Glue Dots.
For the red tags, I made them with almost the same method as the navy one above, but used Cranberry Tag-Its and Navy ink for the sentiment from the Choose Happy stamp set.
I wanted to decorate the box as well, so I added some of the same washi tape as I used on the tags around the bottom edge of the box.  I then alternated on the boxes using Totally Red Trendy TwineTotally Navy Trendy TwineTotally White Trendy Twine and tying them around the box, making sure to glue them in a couple areas so they wouldn't shift.  I added a star button to each of the boxes and some Frosted Cranberry Sequins.  These were a fun way to let people know we are thinking about them, especially during this crazy time.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Flag Note Card & Envelope

Hello all!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with this kraft note card and envelope set.  I decorated it with a vintage patriotic theme, which could be used any time of the year, but is especially fun for summertime.
I started with the Kraft Scallop Note Card and wrapped Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine and Totally Red Trendy Twine in line with the scallops.  The top two pieces of Trendy Twine were poked through the cardstock with a paper piercer.  I taped the ends of the twine to the back and covered the back with a scrap piece of cardstock cut to size so the ends wouldn't show when the card was opened.  I then stamped the large star from the Merry Christmas stamp set and the Blessed sentiment from the Hello Fall planner stamp set in Scrapbook.com Midnight Blue ink.  White gel pen doodles finished the look I was going for with the note card.
Next up was decorating the Kraft Small Envelope!  Once I stamped the stars from the Merry Christmas stamp set in Scrapbook.com Cardinal Red and Midnight Blue inks, I added white gel pen doodles as well.  I really like how the white brightened up the whole project.
In this photo, you can see that the note card easily fits in the envelope with no issues even though there is extra bulk on the note card.  Now it is ready to write a note in and give to someone special!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Patriotic Box

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I made a patriotic treat box using a 2x2 Kraft Box and Totally Navy Trendy Twine.
While the 2x2 Kraft Box was still flat (unassembled), I stamped 3 different sizes of stars from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set all over it.  I used Distress Oxides in Faded Jeans, Candied Apple, and Antique Linen for that.  Once those were dry, I wrapped Totally Navy Trendy Twine around the top flap, tied a bow, and attached a tiny tag on which I stamped a "thankful" sentiment from the APB Feeling Happy Planner Stamps in Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink.    Simple, yet cute.
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

SumMore Fun Mood Board #32

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
The stamps I used were Raisin Boat's Strokes of Pride and Flourishing Thoughts sets.  I made the starburst background using the brush line stamp from Strokes of Pride and the wreath builder template with Distress Oxide inks in Fired Brick and Faded Jeans.  The ice cream bar svg is from SnapDragon Snippets and is popped up with foam tape and decorated with Stickles.  The sentiment was stamped in black in and I embellished with GMD Patriotic Sparkle enamel dots.

Here is a look at the current mood board:

Crafting With Kids

Happy Monday morning! I am on the SVG Attic blog today with these crafts my boys recently created.  They are busy with fun summer projects and sometimes that includes spending time in the craft room with mom :)

First up, a monogrammed treat holder.  The file is from JGW Star Tent Place Cards.  It was very easy to assemble!  The papers used are from The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation paper pad and Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine was used to embellish.
Second, my 8 year old wanted to create a 3D item, and after browsing the SVG Attic website, he decided on this cake slice box from SVGA Make A Wish.  The papers used are from The Paper Studio's Birthday Extravaganza paper pad.
Here is a view with it open.
The final project is this slice form rocket place card from SVG Outta This World.
I hope this post inspires you to get out those papers and cutting machines to create with your kids or grandkids!  It is a great time for bonding with them and passing on your love of paper crafting.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day, a day to remember and be thankful for all the service men and women who have sacrificed everything to keep our country free!  Here is a patriotic project that I have up on the Trendy Twine blog today just for the occasion.
I started with a Kraft Treat Packet and stamped a star and stripes on it from Raisin Boat's Strokes of Pride stamp set.  The white stripes were stamped with VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder.  The red stripes were stamped with Candied Apple Distress Oxide and the star with Faded Jeans DO.  Those inks show up great on kraft cardstock!
I tied Totally White Trendy Twine around the flap, added some buttons and finished it off with a small bow of the Totally White Trendy Twine.  I filled the treat bag with red M&M's...yummy!

Here are the products I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

SumMore Fun Mood Board #28

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
The stamp set that I used on this card is Raisin Boat's Strokes of Pride stamp set.  I stamped three stars on colored cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I die cut them into squares and adhered them with foam tape.  The fourth star was stamped with Distress Oxides in Candied Apple and Faded Jeans onto the card front.
The sentiment is also from the Strokes of Pride stamp set and was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  I added a few sequins with Lineco Adhesive.
Here is a look at the current mood board:

Patriotic Tussie Mussie

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  I have this patriotic Tussie Mussie just in time for the 4th of July tomorrow!
The Tussie Mussie (cone) file is from SVG Attic's JGW July 4th Block Party.  The rosette is part of that file, but I switched out the medallion on the front with the SDS Star Medallion.  It was resized to 2.5" to fit properly on the medallion.  All the papers are from The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation stack.
See all the beautiful details around the top of the Tussie Mussie!
I filled it with various patriotic items I had in my craft room.  Silk flowers, star sprays and a painted flag heart.  I put floral foam and kraft shred in the cone before adding the decorations.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
