Trio of Purple/Turquoise Cards

Hello all! Today I am sharing a trio of cards that I created with nieces in mind. I went with a purple and turquoise color scheme.
The patterned papers I used are from DCWV's Girlhood stack.  The design was a simple one that was done with my paper trimmer.  The flowers were die cut out of solid cardstock and inked with light gray ink.
The sentiment was from Annie's Paper Boutique's Greetings stamp set and was stamped in gray.  The one embellishement I used was a glitter dot sticker from Dollar Tree.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

90th Birthday Card

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a card that I created a while back for a wonderful lady who turned 90.  I knew right away I wanted to use Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934 paper for it because of the great vintage feel it has.
Other products used on this card include GMD Doily Die, Elizabeth Craft Designs Diagonal Stitched Fishtails dies, Pinkfresh Studio Fancy Label dies, flower dies, and circle punches.  The 90 was cut out with my SCAL4 software and Silhouette Cameo.  To embellish, I used glitter dot stickers from Dollar Tree.  Layers were adhered with Bearly Art precision glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SheetLoad of Butterfly Birthday Cards

Hello all!  This month I participated in the SheetLoad of Cards sketch that Call Me Crafty Al has on her YouTube channel.  If you haven't checked out her printable SheetLoads, I recommend you do so!  This time I created birthday cards using papers from DCWV's Birds & Butterflies stack.  I did end up sending one of the cards out before I took the picture, so I actually made 8 instead of 7 as the image shows.
I did alter the sketch a bit, but for the most part, I kept it pretty close.  I thought my brand new Unity I Consider You Special stamp set couldn't be more perfect for the sketch, so that was the focal point instead of the the oval on the sketch.  Scrapbook.com inks used on this turquiose/pink set of cards include: Hybrid Black, Mermaid, and Confetti Pink.
Adhesives used include ATG, Bearly Art precision glue and foam tape behind the circle.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut around the doily and butterfly.
The second part of the cards was a yellow/purple combo.  The Scrapbook.com inks I used for these include Hybrid Black, Rubber Ducky, and Parisian Purple.  I didn't think the yellow would pick up well with my Scan N Cut, so I simply used Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies for cutting out the stamped area.  Once again, the butterfly was cut out with the Scan N Cut.
I embellished with two sparkle dot stickers from Dollar Tree on each of the cards.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Back To School Layout

Hello all!  This month, the Trendy Twine blog is spotlighting back to school projects with Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine.  What a fun time of the year!  The absolute MUST for our family during this time of the year is a back to school photo and scrapbook page.  Today I am sharing one for my middle son, but I also plan to make similar ones for my other two boys.
I started out with Park Lane's School Day's paper pad and that was so adorable, I didn't need to embellish the paper with much at all!  Of course, I needed the photo and matting, but I also wanted a place to document about this day.   A Manila Library Pocket (Standard size) was perfect for that!  I decorated it with Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine, washi tape, and stamps from the APB Documenting the Everyday #2 stamp set.  Once that was adhered to the paper, I added a Black Large Tag-It on which I stamped and heat embossed the word "Feeling" from the APB Feeling Happy Planner stamp set.  The tag was also embellished with a Cherry Latte Trendy Page DotCherry Midnight Trendy Twine, and Totally Red Trendy Twine.  The page title was created in my SCAL4 software using white vinyl and the Learning Curve font.
One other addition to the layout was another sentiment from the APB Documenting the Everyday #2 stamp set underneath the photo and lines of Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine above and below the photo.  Those pieces were very easy to adhere with a thin line of glue from the Bearly Art precision glue bottle.  Now I better get busy making back to school layouts for my other kids!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Back to School Treats

Hello all, and welcome to August!  This month, the Trendy Twine blog is spotlighting Back to School projects with Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine.  What a fun time of the year!  I created treats for my boys returning to school this month.
I started with Manila Library Pockets (Standard size), which fit a 1.55 oz. Hershey's bar perfectly!  Instant treat packaging!  I covered the candy bar and the front of the Manila Library Pockets with patterened paper from the Park Lane School Days paper pad.
I created the tags using Lemon Tag-Its, a sentiment from the Greetings stamp set in black ink, a strip of patterned paper, and wrapped with Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine.  Instead of tying twine through the hole at the top of the tag, I decided to attach it to the pocket with an adorable Mini Wooden Clothespin that I tied a tiny bow of Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine on.  To embellish, I added Christmas Shaker Medley sequins with mini glue dots and two arrow stickers.  I'm sure my boys will love this cheerful treat to begin their school year!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
Manila Library Pockets (Standard size)

You can also get the Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine in the sweet Cherry Midnight Sampler!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
