Dinosaur Invasion!

I am taking a break from holiday postings to just share some fun projects I recently created with SVG Attic's files.  As a boy mom, I LOVE the fact that SVG Attic has several boy themed sets to create with.  This time I went with a dinosaur theme.
For this dig zone hat, I used a file from the JGW Dino Dig set.
I tried to make it look like a paleontologist hat, so I stayed true to those colors.
Here is a look at the side of the hat.  It was big enough that it fit my 3.5 year old with room to spare!
Next, I made some dino face cards from files in the JGW Dino Party Kit.  I think these are so much FUN!  The mouths open to reveal a message inside.
 The T-rex...
 Triceratops...
And the Pteranodon.  I used DCWV's double sided cardstock for all of these projects and for the cards, I embellished them with some homemade enamel dots.  Other than that, I kept things pretty simple!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Growing In Unity ~ Day 5

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week!  Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

Today is Day #5, the last day, and this is the card that I have made to share with you!
I used the stamp set called Ruler Background from Unity.  It comes with the sentiment and one ruler stamp.  I stamped the ruler several times on woodgrain patterned paper and cut them out creating this background.  All the patterned papers are from Pebbles' Lakeside collection.
Since the sentiment is vertical, I thought it would be pretty to do a collection of long banners surrounding it with a bow of Totally Kraft Trendy Twine at the top.  I finished the card off with sequins and a wood button that match the colors within the banners.

Growing In Unity ~ Day 4

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week!  Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

Today is Day #4 and this is the card that I have made to share with you!
I really let the stamps do most of the work on this card.  The set I used is called Spotted Owl Soup from Unity.  I stamped them on patterned papers from DCWV's Celebration stack papers.  I popped up the banners and added Limeade and Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twines to "hang" them from.

Growing In Unity ~ Day 3

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week!  Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

Today is Day #3 and this is the card that I have made to share with you!
This is another card that I created using the Totally & Utterly Amazing KOM set.  I totally LOVE that set!  This card is just a fun thank you card that I will have on hand to use when I want to brighten someone's day.  The papers I used are from Craft Smith's Blackberry Lemon stack.
The image stamp I colored with watercolors and used a bit of yellow glitter to accent.  The square doily background is an SVG file from SVG Attic's JGW Poinsettia Passion set. The green rhinestone swirls were added underneath the popped up mat.  I stamped the sentiment on vellum for a different, softer texture.  The brown circular pattern you see in the picture below is also a stamp from that set.

Growing In Unity ~ Day 2

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week!  Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

Today is Day #2 and this is the tag that I have made to share with you!

The stamps I used were both in a grab bag that I recieved from Unity and I thought they would make the perfect Valentine! (The girl stamp can be found as part of this Kit of the Month)
I went with colors that are somewhat non-traditional.  Coral and lavender.  It doesn't show up in the picture, but I added glossy accents to the heart in the girl's hands.
I added the small epoxy circles from Epiphany Crafts over the letters at the bottom for a bit of fun.  They were the perfect size!

Growing In Unity ~ Day 1

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week!  Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

Today is Day #1 and this is the card that I have made to share with you!
Well, actually, I have two cards that are just a little different to share.  For these cards, I used Unity's Everything More stamp set and DCWV's  Glitzy Glitter and DIY Wedding Project stacks.
The sentiment is matted with a Spellbinder's die.  I added tiny punched out flowers in the bottom corner for an extra touch.  Below is how the card looks using pink glitter paper.  Which one is your favorite?  I am totally a pink girl, but the turquoise is very striking in person and I think I favor that one just a little more.

Perfect Posy Birthday Cards

The other day I was simply inspired to make a card using one of my all time favorite sketches that originated from OWH.  It is sketch #123.  I have made different cards using it, so if you want to see some others, click HERE, HERE or HERE.
I used patterned paper from Fancy Pants' MEology 6x6 stack.  So many vibrant colors in that stack!  Then I had to choose a die cut to finish it off.  I chose a flower from Miss Kate Cuttables to match the red flowers on the paper.  The stamp is from Whimsy Stamps.
I created this card using a different background paper.  Which one do you like better?  The floral background or the patterned?
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine~Dress Form Birthday Card

Good morning crafty friends! Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog, and I am sharing a card that showcases the beautiful Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
The paper I used is called Letters From Paris by Wild Rose Studio.  I used the dress form stamp from Unity and the sentiment stamp is from Whimsy Stamps.  I used a spellbinders die to create the decorative oval behind the dress form and then wrapped Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine around the stamped image.  A bow of twine to the waist of the dress was the perfect addition.
By the sentiment, I thought it could use a little more color, so I added 3 lengths of Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine for visual interest.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Sweetest Heart Box Card

Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  I created the beautiful box card and matching envelope that is in the JGW Sweetest Heart set.  I absolutely love the chocolate that is on this card :)
Here is a look at the card itself.  The papers I used are My Mind's Eye Lost and Found and the glitter cardstock is DCWV's Glitzy Glitter.
The front panel is embellished with a few sequins and I added a bit of lace behind it to add to the antique look of the card.
A closeup of the chocolate...doesn't it look good enough to eat?  I added glossy accents to the swirls to make them shine.
The side flaps are shown below.  I added a bow of cherry cupcake Trendy Twine to the heart.
Here is the envelope.
The best part is that the card folds flat for mailing!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Minion Mario Birthday Card

Hello to all of you!  December was a whirl-wind for me and I only posted what I had to on my blog for my DT's.  So now that things have FINALLY slowed down a bit for me, I am going to start sharing a few projects that I made just for fun.
This card is one that I created for my oldest son.  He turned 9 in December.  His favorite two things right now are Minions and Mario.  SO I combined the two to make his card!  The papers I used are from DCWV's Celebration stack and the SVG was a freebie (no longer available) from SVG Cutting files.
To embellish, I used homemade enamel dots and a bit of a messy bow with Celebration Trendy Twine.  The best part of all, was that he LOVED it!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine~Sewing Box

Good morning crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog, and I am sharing a project that showcases the beautiful Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
I started with a 3x3x3 kraft box and decorated the sides with various prints from Carta Bella's Sew Lovely papers.  I added a die cut vintage sewing machine on the front and "threaded" it with the Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine. I used THIS stamp set for the sentiment.
I thought it would be cute to have a spool handle on the top, so I grabbed a wooden spool I had laying around and wrapped it with Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  I spruced it up with some roses and a bow of the same twine.
The sides, I decorated with washi tape, a bow of the Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and some of the Frosty Sequins Mix.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Patchwork Heart Card

Today I am a guest designer on the Crafting By Designs blog!  It marks the beginning of their Anything Goes monthly challenge, so head on over to play along!  This is the card that I created for them.
The file for this card is from SVG Attic's JGW Vintage Valentine set.  Isn't it beautiful?  I love the vintage style.  The patterned papers are from BoBunny's Love Letters collection.  I had fun adding stamps that look like zig-zag stitiching on the seams of the heart.  That stamp is from BoBunny's Stitches set (LOVE it!).  I added three buttons in the bottom corner and tied some lace from 3 Girl JAM around the key.  I finished it off with a simple bow of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
I hope you have enjoyed my card, and don't forget to join in the Anything Goes challenge at Crafting By Designs.
Have a wonderfully crafty day!
