Celebrate Ship Card

Hello crafty friends! I am on the SVG Attic blog today with this cruise ship card that I made for my sister's birthday.  Her husband surprised her with an Alaskan cruise for her birthday present, so I went with that theme for her card.

The card and envelope files are from JGW Paris Voyage.  The "celebrate" sentiment is from JGW Take the Cake.  I used papers from DCWV's Silver Leaf and Peri & Peach stacks to create this card.  I embellished with Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine and GMD Soft Pink Pearls.
I love that this card has a coordinating envelope file to go with it!

Trendy Twine ~ Happy 5!

Happy Friday!  Today on the Trendy Twine blog we are celebrating Helen and Sukie being with the TT DT for 5 years.  That is such an awesome milestone.  Congrats ladies!!
Here are the cards that I created for them.
This card went to Helen.  I wanted to make extra special cards for these awesome ladies, so I went to YouTube and followed THIS tutorial for Helen's card.  The papers I used are from DCWV's Peri & Peach stack.
I embellished the card front with Tickled Pink Trendy Twine and Frosty sequins.
The stamped sentiments are from Pink and Main's Wishes set.  I stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black ink and my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect.
This card opens up in such a fun way!  I added flower die cuts from GMD Spring Flower Arrangements die set.
Here is a view with it all opened up.
Next up is Sukie's card!  This one I created using THIS YouTube tutorial.  It is created with a 10 5/8"x10 5/8" square of paper.
The Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine matched the DCWV Flower Shop stack so well!  That stack also included all the sentiments you will see on this card.  You can see a close up of the belly band in this picture.  The yellow layer is a die cut from GMD Crochet Oval set.
When you take off the belly band and pull the front triangles out, this is the view you get!  I used an unbranded square lace die from eBay for the light green layer.
The card opens up even further to reveal the inside where the message is written.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing these cards!  Make sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog to congratulate Helen and Sukie on this amazing accomplishment.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Violet Pinwheels Card

Hello all!  This is one of those cards that just comes together so well by itself that you card hardly believe it!
I started with GMD Violet Pinwheels Flowers dies and papers from Recollections' Modern Bouquet stack.  I pieced them within a black cardstock negative of the die cut.  They were adhered onto a die cut of a GMD Scalloped Stitched Rectangle using more of the patterned paper stack.  Yellow enamel dots from GMD Succulents colors set were used as the flower centers.
The sentiment is from Verve Stamps' Faith Medley set.  I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect to stamp it.  I added three enamel dots from the GMD Purple Trio colors to finish off the card.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Winter Village Card

I am still in the Christmas in July mode so I am sharing this winter village card today.
I absolutely love the Winter Village Border die from Gina Marie Designs.  I cut it twice, once with a gray print and once with a light blue.  I distressed the edges of the gray layer with Weathered Wood Distress Ink then I offset the light blue layer behind the gray.  A layer of torn white cardstock at the bottom created the illusion of snow.  The sentiment stamp is from Annie's Paper Boutique.
To create the dark blue frame, I used the largest size of the GMD Scalloped Stitched Rectangle and cut the center out of the die cut with a GMD Stitched Rectangle die.  I embellished with a bow of In The Navy Trendy Twine, silver stickles and Liquid Pearls.  The papers I used are from DCWV's Frosted Spruce stack.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Stockings Trio Card

Hello all!  I am back with another Christmas card to share with you today.  This one features GMD stockings dies and GMD stitched rectangle dies.
The patterned papers are from DCWV's Hand Painted Christmas stack.  The white panels with stockings on them are popped up with Scotch foam tape.
I used VersaMagic Cloud White ink and WOW white embossing powder to emboss the sentiment from APB Merry & Bright stamp set.  The only embellishments I added were tiny red pearls.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Moose Birthday Card

Hello all!  I am posting on the Victorine Originals blog today with this moose birthday card.
I started with some cream cardstock and stamped the Moose stamp from Victorine Originals using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  I then tightly shaded it with Prisamcolor colored pencils.  I created a mask for the moose by stamping it on a post-it note and then fussy cutting around it.  I then stamped the VO Grove of Trees stamp with Vivid! Green ink.  I stamped it again in a different spot without re-inking to get the faded trees in the background.
Once I had the scene the way I liked it, I used a GMD Square Die to cut around the moose and a GMD stitched rectangle die around the whole stamped area.  I layered both die cut panels with a dark brown cardstock and popped up the moose panel with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the VO Elegant Sayings stamp set.

Victorine Originals Challenge #7 ~ Back To School

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the Victorine Originals blog with the theme of "Back To School". Here is what I created for inspiration!
I created this card by using the following stamps from Victorine Originals:  Backgrounds set, Crayon, and Back to School.  I used Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed and Fired Brick for all the colors and background.  The square with the crayons was cut with GMD Up & Down In & Out cut square dies.  I used my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect to align the crayons on the paper.
For embellishments, I chose a rainbow ribbon and GMD Patriotic Sparkle enamel dots.
Head on over to the Victorine Originals blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s that follow the following theme and/or color scheme. They do not have to use Victorine Originals stamps on them. We can't wait to see what you create!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Hello Sweetie Treat Bag

Happy Thursday!  I am sharing this sweet treat bag on the Trendy Twine blog today.
I decorated the Kraft Tin Tie Bag with papers from DCWV's Sweet Stack and the sheer ribbon from the Pretty In Pink Ribbon Set.  Then I adhered oval die cuts of that yummy cake to the center of the bag and finished that off with a bow of Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine.
I added a Kraft Tag-Its to the bag that was stamped with images from the APB Foodies stamp set and a sentiment from the APB You & Me stamp set.  I also added a Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dot to the tag and finished it off with a tassel of Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine, a pink pom-pom trim from the Pretty In Pink Ribbon Set and some white gel pen doodling.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Dance In The Rain Card

Hello all!  Happy Wednesday.  Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals blog.  I created a card that is a little different from what I usually make to share with you.  This one has a lot of watercoloring on it.
I started out by stamping the Victorine Originals Dance in the Rain stamp with Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto Canson XL Watercolor paper and then heat embossing it with WOW Clear embossing Powder.  I added the green grass and the rainy gray background with watercolors.  I then used Stampabilities Slate Gray ink and the Victorine Originals Backgrounds set to add little flecks on the background paper.  I added a pair of die cut rain boots by the sentiment.
For the top of the card, I cut three clouds using GMD stitched cloud border dies and papers from the DCWV Silver Leaf stack.  I wrapped Bumblebee Trendy Twine around them for a little pop of color and then adhered them to the background that I had created.

Remember, we have our Ahoy Landlubbers challenge going on right now!  Here is the inspiration photo for it.  You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

Bee Hive Card

Hello crafty friends!  I am on the SVG Attic blog today with this bee hive card.
This card was solely inspired by some new papers I got!  The DCWV Watercolor Garden stack had these amazing bee inspired papers in it and I knew I had to make something with them, so this card was created!  The file I used from SVG Attic is from the JGW Blooming Card kit.
I distressed the cuts with various colors of Distress Inks to add more dimension to the card.  I kept it pretty simple, only adding a few sequins for embellishments.
Here is a look at the kit that I used:
