Tag Tuesday~Gift Card Holder

Hello all! I am back with another Tag Tuesday idea for the Trendy Twine blog so you can get a jump start on your Christmas gifts.  Today's project is a gift card holder using a Biggie Glassine Open End Envelope and a Snowman & Reindeer Retro Tag.
I simply placed a gift card in a Biggie Glassine Open End Envelope and folded the end over, sealing it with a Glue Dot. The Snowman & Reindeer Retro Tag was such a quick and cute addition to write to and from on the back. To dress the tag up a bit, I rounded the corners with my corner chomper and punched a hole in the top. I then added a Candy Cane Trendy Page Dot and threaded Candy Cane Trendy Twine through that. To add a little sparkle, I used Bearly Art precision tip glue to adhere sequins from Delightful Sequins and Jolly Medley. Another quick and simple, yet personalized Christmas idea! Trendy Bakers Twine~Hello BOO-tiful

Hello all! Today I have a Trendy Twine blog post for you, and it is another spooky sweet Halloween project...a 5x7" card.
I started by stamping the cute witch from Victorine Originals Halloween Kids stamp set and the sentiment from Annie Paper Boutique's Happy Halloween stamp set with Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink.  I colored the image with Artify alcohol markers and used a deckle edge die to cut around it. The patterned papers were from DCWV's Eek-A-Boo 6x6'' stack.  I wrapped Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine around the edges of the center band, then adhered the focal panel with foam tape. Once the sentiment was added, I glued sequins from the Enchanting Sequin mix and a bow of Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine.  The larger card base let me have a little more creativity with this card, so let this inspire you to step outside of your comfort zone from your crafty norm to have a little fun!

Tag Tuesday~Retro Reindeer Tag

Good morning and welcome to another Tag Tuesday for the Trendy Twine blog! When I saw the adorable reindeer on this retro tag, I knew I needed to make something with it.
The base for this project is a Kraft Large Tag-It with a Reindeer & Stocking Retro Tag adhered and the top corners trimmed to size of the kraft tag. I glued Delightful Sequins to the front with Bearly Art precision tipped glue, and finally stapled green chevron ribbon from the Chevron Ribbon Sampler to the top. Honestly, a 5 minute project that can be used as a gift tag or even added to a card front as a focal point.  That sweet retro image is sure to make anyone smile!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Halloween Treat Cube

Hello all and happy October! Today I have a Trendy Twine blog post for you, and I am thrilled to be working on Halloween projects this month. First up, a Halloween treat cube sure to delight any trick-or-treater.
This was quite a simple project, starting with a 2x2" Candy Cube and filling it with candy.  The decorations are all on a belly band that can be removed and replaced easily if all the candy isn't eaten right away.  The belly band was created with paper from DCWV's Spooky Halloween stack. Once that was secured losely around the cube, I wrapped at total of 3 strands of Spooktacular Taffy and Trick or Treat Trendy Twines around the circumference of the box.
To make the eccentric bow on the top, I cut approximately 40 strands each of Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine and Trick or Treat Trendy Twine the same length and secured them together by knotting around the center of the bundle. Once that was adhered to the top of the cube, I added Halloween charms, a bat sequin from Enchanting Sequins, and a tag stamped with a stamp from the Happy Halloween stamp set in SB.com Mardi Gras ink, with an Antique Bronze Safety Pin to the bow.  The final touch was to add more Enchanting Sequins to the front of the belly band.
