Trendy Bakers Twine~Amazing Tool Treat Bag

Hello all! I am back with a new project for the Trendy Twine blog that features Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine. I mentioned in my last post how much I love the versatility of that twist. This time I created a masculine tool themed treat bag.
I started with a Kraft Chevron Treat Bag, added washi tape around it, then three rounds of Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine on top of the washi tape. Where the ends of the tape and twine were, I created a little stamped circle using circle punches and the Raisin Boat Nailed It! stamp set. For the tag, I used a Lemon Chunky Tag-It, stamped more tool stamps in black ink and highlighted them with white gel pen. I stamped a sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamp set in black onto white paper and made a little banner on the tag with it. At the top of the tag, I finished it off with more Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine and attached it to the treat bag with a Mini Wooden Clothespin. Now it is ready to give! It fits a gift card and candy perfectly.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine

Kraft Chevron Treat Bag

Lemon Chunky Tag-It

APB Choose Happy stamp set

Mini Wooden Clothespin

The Lemon Midnight Sampler is perfect if you don't need a full spool. Each color is ten yards in length and comes on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello all and Happy Thanksgiving! I wanted to share a card today to let you all know how thankful I am for each and every one of you who read this blog and the Trendy Twine blog. It features the versatile Totally Kraft Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique.

I started with patterned papers from DCWV's Farmstead Harvest 6x6 paper stack. Totally Kraft Trendy Twine was wrapped around the gold panel in two areas and I also glued a bow of Totally Kraft Trendy Twine in the lower right corner. The stamped panel was created with a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and VersaFine Clair Nocturne and leaves from the Raisin Boat Arboretum Leaves stamp set and the following Scrapbook.com inks: Camel, Succulent, Daffodil. Orange Spice, and Cinnamon. That panel was then adhered to the front with foam tape. The other adhesives used on this card were ATG and Bearly Art precision glue.

Lavender Birthday Cards

Hello all! I'm back with a duo of lavender birthday cards that were created with the Card Maker Success Summit Exclusive #2 SheetLoad of Cards sketch.
The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's Katherine 6x6 paper pad. That was an impulse buy one day as I recently was simply walking the aisles of Hobby Lobby after a not so fun medical test. I decided to reward myself by just relaxing through that craft store. Have you ever done that?
The GMD double stitched in and out hexagon die was cut in half and stamped on with a Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp and VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink. Adhesives used include ATG and Bearly Art precision tip glue. Embellishments were GMD purple trio enamel dots and Pink & Main galaxy sticky gems.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SheetLoad of Fall Birthday Cards

Hello all! I purchased the Joyfall Gathering paper pad from The Paper Studio a couple months ago because I loved all the beautiful fall prints in it. I decided I needed to put those papers to great use by making a SheetLoad of cards. The template I used was from September 2020.
These were fairly quick to put together! On the stamped panel I used Raisin Boat Damask Elegance set with SB.com Orange Cream ink for the image as well as Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts with VersaFine Onyx Black ink for the sentiment.

Adhesives used include ATG and Bearly Art precision tip glue.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Chicken Cards

Hello all! Welcome to a new month for the Trendy Twine blog! This month is a free for all with Trendy Twine colors, so I let my imagination run wild and ended up using both Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine and Totally Kraft Trendy Twine on these chicken themed cards.
When I saw the fun chicken paper in the 6x6" Carta Bella Sunflower Market paper pad, I knew I wanted to make a card for my mom using it. Chickens have have a big part in her life! I used the Bourbon Creek Crafts No Scraps Sketch Set #1 and 3 patterned papers as the starting point for these cards. Once I had the paper pieces coordinated the way I wanted, I decided to glue a braid of Trendy Twine down the front of the card. Two have Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine and the third one has Totally Kraft Trendy Twine because I thought it stood out better on the busy chicken paper.
On one of the cards I decided to use the reverse of the chicken paper so it could be used for anyone. To build the focal point of the card, I adhered a kraft circle die cut from a GMD x-stitched die to a 3" Paper Doily. On the two chicken themed cards, using SB.com Leather ink I stamped a retired Raisin Boat chicken wire stamp. Once that was adhered to the card front with foam tape, I stamped the sentiment strip with a stamp from the APB Smile stamp set in SB.com Dark Chocolate ink and used ATG to place it on the circle.
The final touch was a trio of Chocolate Truffle Sequins that were adhered with Bearly Art precision glue.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Masculine With Thanks Card

Hello all, I am back with another post for the Trendy Twine blog! This month we are spotlighting Bumblebee Trendy Twine, a bright, cheerful twist of black and yellow. It is such a versatile color! Today, I am sharing a masculine card with it.

The patterned papers are from DCWV's Honey Dear stack. I thought they were great for a guy card and the colors were a perfect match with Bumblebee Trendy Twine! The background paper was cut to 4"x5.25" and the yellow plaid strip was cut to 2''x4.75". I then matted the narrow strip with black cardstock cut to 2.25"x5" and cut one end at 1.25" to create both sides of the strip. The cut ends border the outer edges of the card. I used my Crop-A-Dile and 1/18" eyelets and 20" of Bumblebee Trendy Twine to create the lacing area. I did not adhere the yellow strip until after it was loosely laced, then once both sides were glued in place, I tightened the laces and tied a bow.

The focal point was created with a Kraft Bracket Card matted with a black die cut from CC stitched rounded rectangle dies. The toolbench stamp is retired from a SumMore Fun set called Handy Man and was stamped with SB.com Rainy Day ink. The sentiment was from the APB Greetings stamp set (on SALE for only $9!) and was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The Kraft Bracket Card was popped up with foam tape for a little extra dimension.

If you are looking for more inspiration on what you can create with Bumblebee Trendy Twine, you can see some of my past projects using it HERE.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

2024 Seminarian Easter Cards

Hello all! Today I am sharing a large collection of Easter cards that I recently created. Several were sent off to seminarians from our diocese, and the rest will be given to family members. There are a total of 30!
The first thing I decided on was the patterned paper backgrounds. Most of the papers are from Echo Park's Homegrown collection, but I also used scraps from DCWV's Lilac Love stack to create 6 cards.
I used sections of DCWV's Paper Lace borders stack at the bottom of each background, then added two rows of matching Trendy Twine right above the lace. Those colors include Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine, Grape Fizz Trendy Twine, and Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine.
The front panel of the card was created with a background die cut from Cottage Cutz stitched rounded rectangle dies, lilies stamped from the Raisin Boat In Loving Memory set with Scrapbook.com Leather ink, and colored with Artify alcohol markers. The cross was a free SVG that was cut with my Silhouette Cameo. The large lily was die cut with my Brother Scan N Cut. The focal point was popped up with foam tape to the background of the card. Other adhesives used include ATG and Bearly Art glue.

Eagle Birthday Cards

Hello all! I am trying to get more masculine cards created for my stash. I always seem to be behind on those kind of cards! Today I am sharing monochromatic eagle cards that were inspired by OWH sketch #41. (Sketch 41 is on page 11 of the linked pdf)
Patterned papers used include The Paper Studio's Against the Grain 12x12" and Echo Park's Recollections Fall 6x6" paper pads. The eagle and cedar tree stamps were from Victorine Originals and the sentiment is from Raisin Boat's Nailed It! stamp set. Inks were Dark Chocolate and Camel from Scrapbook.com. Adhesives include ATG and Scotch foam tape. A trio of gold brads were the only embellishment. A kraft card base was the perfect background for the entire card!

Final UFO (UFO Post #12)

Hello all! This is the very last of the STACK of unfinished projects I had on my craft table. The tag, black die cut circle, and background paper were random pieces I wanted to tie together to use up!
The patterned papers were random ones I had received in a paper swap years ago, as was the tag. I die cut the flower and sentiment strip, adding a sentiment from Raisin Boat's No Loss For Words stamp set. Two button brads and a double bow of Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine were the final embellishments. And just like that, I have a much cleaner creating space! It took me a while to work through all of the random pieces, but in all, I was able to create 132 cards in all with those elements! If you are interested in seeing the other cards I created in this series, you can find them HERE.

Adhesives used include ATG, and Bearly Art precision glue. here is a look at the different styles of cards this SheetLoad created.

SheetLoad of Confirmation Cards

Hello all! I recently was in need of Confirmation cards. I only needed one at the time, but decided it would be smart to make multiples since I have more coming up in the future. Therefore, I turned to my trusty binder of SheetLoad sketches and decided the October 2019 SheetLoad of Cards sketch would work great for these cards!
These are a fun fold card, which consequently took a little more time to create, but not much. The patterned papers were from 3 different paper pads! DCWV Watercolor Garden, DCWV Honey Dear, and The Paper Studio H2Oh So Colorful. The stamps are from a retired Raisin Boat set called Handle With Prayer and were stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.
The front panel was die cut with Pink Fresh Fancy Label Frame dies. To add a little pizzazz, I used clear wink of stella on the dove (which you can't see in the photos) and a trio of GMD Rainbow gems. Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. Below you can see the full fold-out view of the card!
Here is a look at all of the cards the SheetLoad created. Every one is different! Now I don't have to scramble last minute the next time I need a Confirmation card ;)

SheetLoad of Baptism Cards (UFO Post #9)

Hello all! Today I am sharing a SheetLoad of Baptism cards. I used the July 2023 SheetLoad sketch as inspiration. I am also considering these cards part of my UFO (unfinished objects/projects) count. They sat on my craft desk for a while before I actually was able to complete them. If you are interested in seeing my other UFO's, click HERE.
I didn't follow the sketch exactly because I wanted to use a Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die for the background. The white on white patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Blanc Boutique paper pad. The patterned gold paper is from DCWV's Mercury Glass stack.
The stamps are from a retired Raisin Boat stamp set called Child of God. Inks used were Scrapbook.com's Camel and Leather. I embellished with a trio of gold enamel dots. Adhesives used were Bearly Art precision glue for the layers and Scotch foam tape behind the stamped panel. I think these turned out very elegant!

SheetLoad of Halloween Cards

Hello all! I know Halloween was Tuesday, but I am not on top of all my photo editing and blogging as I would love to be, so y'all are seeing these cards today LOL!  It started out as me thinking I was going to make 9 cards with the September 2022 SheetLoad of Cards sketch...only I cut enough patterned paper for 17.  So, 17 mini slimline Halloween cards it was!

I used various 6x6 Halloween papers that I had in my stash. The stamp sets I used are retired Raisin Boat sets called Boo Hoo and Canines in Costume and were stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.

The top part of the card was die cut with Pink Fresh Label Frame dies and I inked around the edges for some color (because no way was I coloring all of those images!) with Distress Oxide inks in Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, and one had Peacock Feathers used on it as well.  A trio of Park Lane adhesive gems were the only embellishment I used. Adhesives include ATG and Bearly Art precision tip glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SheetLoad of UFO Cards (UFO Post #8)

Hello all!  Yes, I am still working diligently on all of my unfinished projects.  This set is a SheetLoad of Cards from the February 2022 sketch.
The patterned papers I used were some that I have received years ago in a paper exchange, so I don't know what brand they are.  I did have a big crafting mishap with these cards.  Last year, I purchased several of these Sticky Thumb adhesive rollers from American Crafts.  I used them to adhere the papers on one another and then these cards sat for months on my desk without being finished.  I am glad I didn't finish them right away, because the adhesive became brittle and cracked apart if the paper moved at all!  The image below is what the papers looked like.  You can see exactly where the adhesive was, but it was hard and detatched from the other paper, even though it was super duper sticky to begin with.  I absolutely DO NOT recommend that adhesive!  I ended up redoing everything with Bearly Art precision tip glue because I knew that would stick with no trouble.
The stamp I used was from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and used Scrapbook.com Leather ink to stamp it. The finishing touch was a flower die cut.
Here is a look at all the cards I created!  I was able to get 7 cards instead of 6 because of the non-directional print of the paper and used the scraps to get card #7.  If you are interested in seeing all the other UFO posts I have been working on, you can CLICK HERE.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
