Sympathy Card in Gray and Peach

This card is one that I made a little while back, but I needed to take the time to get it on the blog, and since it wasn't a DT project, it wasn't an urgent thing to do.  Do you ever wait to blog with projects like that?
The papers are all from DCWV's Sophisticated Neutrals stack.  Dies used are from Gina Marie Designs and include:  Heartfelt Sympathy, Loopy Rectangle, and Spring Flower Arrangement.  I used Black Soot Distress Ink on the flower and leaves for extra shading.  Adhesives I used include ATGLineco adhesive and a precision tipped bottle, and foam tape.  I embellished with Bubblegum Blush Nuvo Crystal Drops.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Elegant Wedding Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Victorine Originals Wedding Couple Silhouette stamp and the Victorine Originals Best Wishes stamp.
The card panel is quite simple.  I stamped the Couple Silhouette stamp using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and stamp platform.  I used the heat gun to make sure it was dry, then added patterned paper and washi tape in the opposite corner for extra sparkle and elegance.  The Best Wishes sentiment was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black onto vellum and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I wrapped the vellum around the card front, securing it on the back.  The only embellishments I used were two Pink Diamond sparkling gems near the sentiment.

Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Blue and Yellow Anniversary Card

Hello all!  Just a quick post for you this morning.  This is an anniversary card I recently created for my sister and brother in law using their wedding colors.
The yellow background was dry embossed with a Kaisercraft Tiles embossing folder.  The white doily was a die from GMD and the heart dies were from eBay.  The sentiment is a gold sticker sentiment (that doesn't like to photograph well!)  I added a pearl in each of the four corners to embellish.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SumMore Fun Mood Board #31

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
My inspiration came from the wedding cake image on the mood board.  I used Victorine Originals' Cake stamp on the front.  I stamped it with VersaMark ink on kraft and added white and pink embossing powder to it for heat embossing.  I die cut the rectangular panels and popped it up with foam tape.  The washi tape in the background was the perfect addition to add some elegance to the front.
The inside is stamped with Victorine Originals' Best Wishes stamp in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  I also added two pieces of the washi tape to tie in the front of the card.

Here is a look at the current mood board:
You can enter using the theme, pictures, or colors. Lots of choices! Head on over to the SumMore Fun blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s. We can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Wonderful Day Floral Card

Hello all and happy Wednesday!  I am sharing a project for the Trendy Twine blog today.  This time, it is a card that I tried a new to me technique on; weaving.
I die cut a scalloped rectangle so it would be easy to evenly space the Trendy Twine around it.  Totally Blue Trendy Twine and Totally Lemon Trendy Twine were wrapped in opposite directions around the white rectangle to create this unique and beautiful background.  I die cut a flower and added a sentiment that I stamped in navy ink from the APB Smile stamp set.  The finishing touch was a few dots of Disco Ball Stickles.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Crafting With Kids

Happy Monday morning! I am on the SVG Attic blog today with these crafts my boys recently created.  They are busy with fun summer projects and sometimes that includes spending time in the craft room with mom :)

First up, a monogrammed treat holder.  The file is from JGW Star Tent Place Cards.  It was very easy to assemble!  The papers used are from The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation paper pad and Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine was used to embellish.
Second, my 8 year old wanted to create a 3D item, and after browsing the SVG Attic website, he decided on this cake slice box from SVGA Make A Wish.  The papers used are from The Paper Studio's Birthday Extravaganza paper pad.
Here is a view with it open.
The final project is this slice form rocket place card from SVG Outta This World.
I hope this post inspires you to get out those papers and cutting machines to create with your kids or grandkids!  It is a great time for bonding with them and passing on your love of paper crafting.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine & Mini Popcorn Boxes

Hello all!  Today my fellow Trendy Twine DT sisters and I have created Father's Day inspiration for you using the new Mini Popcorn Boxes from Annie's Paper Boutique.  Head on over to the Trendy Twine blog to see all of the projects.  Here is what I created.
I started with a Cranberry Mini Popcorn Box and simply hand cut a collar and a necktie shape from white cardstock.  I then cut several lengths of Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine the same size as the necktie and then wrapped and tied the twine towards the top to form the top and bottom part of the "tie".  I then covered the cardstock tie shape with liquid glue and adhered the Trendy Twine to it.
Once the pieces were on the Cranberry Mini Popcorn Box, I filled it with peanuts wrapped in cellophane and tied it with more Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine, adding a tag with a sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamp set.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Celebrate Sewing Themed Cards

Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing another personal mission post.  I had the 6x6 Carta Bella Sew Lovely paper pad that I absolutely LOVE.  Seriously.  This paper speaks to me!  I had used it some in other projects, but decided that by making the rest of it up into cards, I could make other people smile from the beautiful prints!
So I went to Pinterest and found this awesome pin from Airbornewife's Stamping Spot and started cutting up my beautiful papers :)  I had these mostly assembled for quite a while, I just needed to figure out what die cuts I wanted on the front.  Now they are all done and I am really happy with how they turned out.  Another unfinished project completed!  Woohoo!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Father's Day Tool Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses Raisin Boat's Nailed It! stamp set.
I stamped all of the stamps I wanted from the Nailed It! stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink using my stamp platform.  I watercolored the images with Distress Inks in Mustard Seed and Weathered Wood.  Those colors matched the patterned paper I matted the card base with perfectly (DCWV's Boyhood stack).  Don't you think this makes the perfect Father's Day card?

One Sheet Wonder Anniversary Cards

Do you ever start a project and don't finish it completely?  Take the cards in this post, for instance.  I wanted to do a OSW (One Sheet Wonder) grouping of cards and got halfway done with them only to feel uninspired by the remaining pieces, so I sat them aside for months!  I have been on a mission to organize my craft room lately, and these cards were on the to-do list.  Here is the grouping of 4 cards that I just completed.
And closeups...
The stack of paper I used for the patterned papers is DCWV's Meet Me In Paris.  I love that stack so much!  Since I started this project quite a while ago, I think I actually used 2 sheets of 12x12 paper to make these cards, but I don't honestly remember LOL!
Embellishments on these cards include Nuvo Crystal Drops and Totally Pink Trendy Twine.  The sentiment is stamped in brown ink and is from MSE Anniversary Innies and Outies.
Now for the cards I had finished a long time ago!  Grouping #1.
Here is a close up.  The only things different that I used from the recent set of cards were the flower die and a different sentiment stamp (from the same stamp set) and black ink.
These feature a die cut tag stamped with another stamp set from the MSE set.
And last, but not least, This final card.  So in all, I was able to create 10 anniversary cards using 2 sheets of patterned paper and some cardstock.  Not too shabby!  I just wish it hadn't taken me so long to finish them all!  This project was inspired by this post on Pinterest, which unfortuantely now goes to a dead link.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SumMore Fun Mood Board #30

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
I used the Victorine Originals Text Background stamp and stamped it in three different colors of Memento ink, Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa, and Desert Sand.  I masked previous stampings with a post it note when I stamped the next color.  Then, I stamped the VO Thank You stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear powder.  I highlighted the words with White Pearl Kirarina Wink marker and embellished with white and black Nuvo crystal drops.
Here is a look at the current mood board:
