Minecraft Swing Card

Hello and good morning!  I wanted to share this card I created for my youngest son's 9th birthday.  He requested a swing card or a Minecraft Steve head card...so naturally, I combined the two and he was thrilled with it!
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut everything except the happy birthday words.  Those were a manual die.  The swing card file was a free one I picked up somewhere once upon a time.  I should have paid more attention to the size before I started cutting because it turned out quite large, but that made the card really impressive to my son!  The base was brown cardstock and I used amazing patterned papers from The Paper Studio's Boy paper pad.  If you haven't seen that one yet, you need to check it out!!
The Minecraft Steve head was a file I created years ago just by welding rectangles together in SCAL!
Here is a look at the card all opened up.  The center square swings around to reveal the area to write on.  For a finishing touch, I added GMD Watermelon enamel dots around the 9 on the front panel.  Adhesives used include ATG, Bearly Art glue and foam tape.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Get Well Wishes Card

Hello friends!  This card is one that I made much earlier this year, added in a draft form on my blog, and promptly forgot to ever write the post or publish it.  Oops!  Anyway, I really loved how it turned out, so I still wanted to share it with you!
I started with patterned papers from the DCWV Mariposa stack and cut them according to the November 2019 SheetLoad of Cards sketch.  The sentiment I chose for the front is from Whimsy Stamps.  I loved the idea of "stitching" up the card with Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine, so that is just what I did!  The final embellishments were dot stickers from Dollar Tree.
For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Annie's Paper Boutique's Greetings stamp set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Hello Sunshine

Good morning!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a cheery project that features Nautical Trendy Twine, which is a twist of yellow, white, and navy blue.

I created a note card and envelope combo that is sure to make someone smile!  I used a Lemon Scallop Note Card and started by stamping a sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamps in SB.com Midnight Blue ink on it.  I then traced a cloud shape onto the card and used Bearly Art Precision glue to make a thin line of glue to adhere the Nautical Trendy Twine in the cloud shape.
I added more smaller bits of Nautical Trendy Twine and pen doodles to fill in the cloud a bit more and added a die cut sun over the top.  The face was a Peachy Keen stamp and I inked the edges of the Lemon Scallop Note Card and sun with SB.com Daffodil ink.

I then took a Kraft Small Envelope and stamped another sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamp set in Midnight Blue ink.  Now it is ready to give away!  These scallop note cards are so cute!  The perfect size to slip into a lunch box or a pocket to let someone know you are thinking about them.

Unity Blog Hop~SheetLoad of Sympathy Cards

Hello all!  Welcome to the Unity Blog Hop!  You should be arriving from Avra's blog.  There is a complete list of all the participating blogs at the end of this post if you want to follow along for a chance to win goodies from Unity.
Here is what I have to share with you today!
I created a SheetLoad of Cards using the Unity I Consider You Special stamp set and the August 2021 SheetLoad sketch.  The cardstock I used was from Craft Smith's Natural Luxury and Park Lane's Neutral Metallics.  Those layers were adhered with ATG and Bearly Art precision glue.
The stamped focal point used 3 stamps from the Unity I Consider You Special stamp set.  The doily was stamped with Scrapbook.com Cinnamon ink, the sentiment wish SB.com Charcoal ink, and the flower at the top was in SB.com Sugar Cookie.  That was cut around with my Brother Scan N Cut and popped up with foam tape.  To embellish, I added either GMD Matte white dots that had been colored with a gray alcohol marker, or Bronze Pearl Pen dots in two of the corners of the cards.

Happy Anniversary Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing an anniversary card with you.  For some reason, I struggle to come up with new ideas for this theme, so I didn't do any hearts on it, which happens many times on my anniversary cards.  I just went with a new to me background technique!
Papers used include Park Lane Roses and Park Lane Neutral Metallic.  White seam binding was wrapped around the panel before gluing it to the card base with Bearly Art precision glue.  The focal point was created with Pink Fresh Studio label dies and retired stamps.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and the flowers were stamped with SB.com Pink Lemonade ink which matched the patterned paper very well!  It was popped up with foam tape to the center of the card.  To embellish, I used a few GMD soft pink pearls.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Scrub Top Thank You Card

Hello all!  Earlier this month, my mother-in-law retired after 46 years of being a nurse!  Talk about inspiring!  Of course, I had to make her a card, and Hearthsewn in the Silhouette store had just the perfect one to make for her.
I used design #319097 in the Silhouette design store and papers from DCWV's Hello Darlin' stack with my Cameo to cut it out.  I inked all the edges of the scrub top with Scrapbook.com Succulent ink.  All layers were adhered with Bearly Art precision glue.  Best of all, she LOVED the card!

Grandparents Day Cards

Happy Sunday and Happy Grandparents Day to all of the grandparents reading this!  I created these cards based on the September 2021 SheetLoad Of Cards sketch from Call Me Crafty Al.
I kept the cards simple, mainly just using patterned papers from Echo Park's Coffee 6x6 paper pad.  I used ribbon, punches, computer generated sentiments, and GMD Strawberry Shorcake enamel dots.  Adhesives used include ATG, Bearly Art precision glue, and Scotch foam tape.
These two deviated a bit from the original sketch, but I really wanted to use that background paper and some of the small images in the paper pad for the coffee lovers!

Tool Birthday Card

Good morning! I created this fairly quick card that is perfect for any handyman you know.
The stamps are from the retired Raisin Boat Handy Man and Nailed It! stamp sets.  They were stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto a kraft cardstock base and detailed with white gel pen.  The patterned papers are from DCWV's Industrial Chic stack.  The banners were cut with ECD diagonal stitched banner dies.  The last two products used were Bearly Art Glue and silver brads.  I think this made a great masculine birthday card!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Hello Card

Hello all!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a card that features our twist of the month, Nautical Trendy Twine.
For this card, I started with small pieces of Graphic 45's Home Sweet Home papers, layered them with blue cardstock and arranged them how I thought they would look nice on the card.  For the front cardstock piece, I wrapped Nautical Trendy Twine around it several times and tied it in a knot.  That panel is popped up with foam tape.  To the top of that panel, I added a double layer of a hello die cut and also a die cut of Pink and Main's lacy border die.  A sentiment strip using a stamp from APB Friendship Stamps and Midnight Blue Scrapbook.com ink was glued down and I used Bearly Art precision glue to add a single line of Nautical Trendy Twine below that.  The final embellishment was Sunny Yellow Pearl Pen dots.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Boy Birthday SheetLoad Of Cards

Hello all!  I am back with a SheetLoad of Cards!  I always seem to be inspired by Call Me Crafty Al's monthly sketches and I took the opportunity to make a set of boy cards this time around.
The supply list for these cards is pretty short.  The main item featured is the amazing Boy paper pad from The Paper Studio!  I cannot express how giddy I was to find this paper at Hobby Lobby a couple months ago!  As a mom of 3 boys (and several nephews) I know these papers will be well used and loved.  The SheetLoad sketch I followed was the September 2021 sketch.  It makes 8 cards total.
I simply fussy cut the images from the paper for the focal point and created the sentiments on my computer.  The only embellishment I used was Sunny Yellow Pearl Pen dots.  Adhesives used include ATG, foam tape, and Bearly Art glue.  As a last note, check out that holographic foil treatment on the patterned paper, SO COOL!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
