Love Birds Card

Good morning my crafty friends! Today I am guest designing for Fleurette Bloom.  She has some great SVG files and clear stamps.  I made a card using her Valentine Be Mine kit.
I used papers from DCWV's Jet Black and DIY Wedding stacks as well as red cardstock from Recollections.  That little heart cut out is embellished with red stickles.  Isn't that bird silhouette so pretty?!
I finished it off with a hand cut banner for the sentiment stamp and Cranberry Trendy Twine wrapped around the bottom.
The best part is this card will work for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday but can also be used for weddings or anniversaries.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Cross Filigree Card

Good morning!  I admit, lately I have become quite enthralled with manual dies, something I didn't ever think would happen since I have my electronic cutting machines.  However, with Gina Marie Designs' great prices on dies and the awesome Black Friday deals I got on Cottage Cutz dies, I was able to get some really amazing dies inexpensively.  This card uses several of them!
All of the papers are from DCWV's Coastal stack available at Michaels.  I love the coral color that is in that stack!  The base layer is one of the linen papers that is in that stack.  The light blue print is cut with a GMD stitched rectangle die.  A spellbinders floral oval die made the perfect backdrop for the coral oval cut with a Cottage Cutz stitched oval die.  The focal point of the gorgeous ornate cross is also a Cottage Cutz die.
This card would be perfect for a sympathy card, religious occasion, or just a thinking of you card.  The papers in the Coastal stack work for guys or gals too!  Look at that iridescent pearl foil on the coral and navy pieces!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ You & Me Card

Hello all! Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog. This month is all about Totally Red Trendy Twine. It was the perfect color for the card that I created.
The Totally Red Trendy Twine is more subtle on this card and adds texture and a pop of red on the black and white papers.  I used it on the & sign and around the black word panel.
I used three Peppermint Icicle Sequins in the top right corner.  The card is a 5x7 red base and all the other papers are from DCWV's Jet Black stack.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Paint and Create Cards

Last week I got out the 4 packs of DCWV's Paint and Create cards that I have and just started painting!  I am trying to get my box full of cards to send throughout the year and this is an awesome way to get original cards created in a short amount of time.  I made 2 of each of the cards pictured here and some other ones too, that didn't fit in the picture.
This one was from the I Love You card set.  I turned it into a birthday card by adding yellow, red and blue watercolors and once those were dry, I stamped a birthday cake on the painted area.
This one was also from the I Love You card set.  I kept it simple by using pink, red and purple paints.  By having 4 different sets of these cards, I opened up all the paints and used a mixture of the colors from the different packages.
This card is from the Hearts card set.  I used the other cards from this set last year for Grandparent's day.  You can see that post HERE.
I had a lot of fun with this card from the Birthday & more card set.  I decided to do some splatter painting on it!  I also added a stamp on top of the watercolor stripes at the bottom of the card.
This card is from the Smile card set.  This is the only set I have with silver foil.  All of the others are gold foil
All in all, I had a lot of fun trying different techniques and color combinations on these watercolor cards.  Plus I now have several more cards to use in the future.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

DCWV Be Mine Valentines

Happy Tuesday! Beth from the DCWV Social Media Design Team here with quick stitched Valentine cards.
I used the DCWV's In Stitches stack for the heart panel.  I trimmed it to 5.5" tall to fit my white card base.  I added a few highlights to the hearts with a white gel pen.  DCWV's Premium Chalk Cardstock layered perfectly under the hearts panel.  I kept the card simple by adding coordinating washi tape from Michaels, a stamped sentiment and some pink pearls in the top right corner.
Best of all, the two sheets of heart paper in the In Stitches stack created SIX Valentine's Day cards for me to send to family!
What have you been creating for Valentine's Day?
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Noteworthy Tag

Good morning crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  This month is all about Totally Red Trendy Twine, which is exactly what I used on today's tag.
This simple tag would be great as a bookmark or to add to a scrapbook page! I used the Documenting the Everyday stamp set on the top portion of this tag.  As I said earlier, I made the tassel with Totally Red Trendy Twine.
The papers I used are from DCWV's Summer Dream stack.  The only embellishing I did was adding Nuvo Crystal Drops in white to the flower centers.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

SVG Attic LOVE Cards

Valentine's Day is coming fast!  Have you started on your Valentine's cards and treats?  I have these two very different LOVE cards on the SVG Attic blog today.
This card is made from the Be Mine set at SVG Attic.  I used DCWV Jet Black and Holiday Glitzy Glitter stacks.
Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine, Nuvo crystal drops in white, and a key were perfect embellishments.
The second card is more of a sweet love card.  It is from the SDS Blooming Love kit.  I used DCWV's Happy Day stack for all the layers.
Totally White Trendy Twine, glossy accents and Nuvo crystal drops in white were used to embellish this card.  I popped up the word with foam tape for extra dimension.

Here is a look at the sets I used today:

DCWV Tags for CHA

Hello all!  Last week, DCWV asked their fans and DT members to create tags for them to display at CHA which is going on right now in Phoenix.  The theme that they wanted us to use is "Why do I create?"  Once I started making them, I couldn't stop!  There are SO many reasons why I create!

Tag #1:
Crafting makes me HAPPY!
I used DCWV's DIY Tags stack and DIY Envelopes stack.
Tag #2
It is relaxing for me.  After my kids are in bed, I de-stress by heading into my craft room.
I used DCWV's Confetti stack for the paper and confetti, washi tape from Michaels, Watermelon Trendy Twine and my Fuse tool on this tag.
Here is a close up of the confetti!
Tag #3
I was born to SPARKLE hahaha!  I have 3 boys and I create so I can make all sorts of pretty things to satisfy my love of glitter, which I cannot use on/for them ;)
This tag uses DCWV DIY Envelopes, Glitzy Glitter, and Premium Vellum with Foil stacks, Totally Black Trendy Twine and gold stickles and sequins.
Tag #4
Plain and simple...I LOVE creating!
Papers are from DCWV's Sunday Afternoon stack and the sentiment is from DCWV's Frameable Quotes stack.  I used stitched oval dies for the sentiment and Chocolate Cupcake Trendy Twine.
So if you are at CHA, be on the look out for the DCWV booth!  I am excited to see peeks of it on social media.  You may be able to find my tags there even!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Let It Snow Card

Hello all!  This card was all about me trying out these new snowflake dies that I had purchased off of eBay.  I got out my DCWV Frosted Spruce stack and got to work!
First, I cut the card front out with a stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs.  Then I positioned the large snowflake from the set where I wanted it.  I found that no matter what I did with that large snowflake die, using a shim, running it through the die cut machine multiple times, different papers, I could not get the center part of the snowflake to cut through.  The three smaller dies worked with a shim though.  As disappointed as I was about the large snowflake, the dies were extremely cheap so I really wasn't out of much.  Plus I think the effect on this card is neat the way it is cut.
For embellishments, I added silver stickles and white Nuvo crystal drops.  The sentiment is from Annie's Paper Boutique's Let It Snow set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Steam Engine Train Card

Hello all!  I needed to create some masculine birthday cards for my stash and was trying to find fresh inspiration when I ran across this train stamp from Victorine Originals.  I have had it for a few years, but hadn't used it yet.  No time like the present, right!
I paired it with prints from DCWV's Gilded Grey stack and some Midnight Trendy twine.  The sentiment is a retired stamp from My Craft Spot.
I think it all came together well!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Valentine Treats

Hello all!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  This month is all about Totally Red Trendy Twine.  It is perfect for me to get a head start on my Valentine's Day projects!
These treats are cherry sour candies in Skinny Candy Bags.  For the toppers, I used stitched circle dies and stamped sentiments from the APB You & Me Planner Stamps and APB Smile stamp set on the white circles.
Before adhering the sentiment to the glittery black circle, I wrapped Totally Red Trendy Twine around it and then added a double bow of Totally Red Trendy Twine and Totally White Trendy Twine on the side.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
