SumMore Fun Mood Board #36

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
I started with the Victorine Originals Map Background stamp.  I stamped it in gray, blue, brown, and black ink on gray cardstock, masking previous stampings as I went.  I distressed the edges of the cardstock to give it a worn look.  I didn't want to take away from the map background, so I simply added three solid colored banners and stamped Happy Birthday from the Victorine Originals Butterfly stamp set in black.  I embellished with Gray Licorice Trendy Twine as well as glossy dots.

Here is a look at the current mood board:
You can enter using the theme, pictures, or colors. Lots of choices! Head on over to the SumMore Fun blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s. We can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Butterfly Trio card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses Raisin Boat's Imagine and Flourishing Thoughts stamp sets.
I started off by stamping three butterflies from the Imagine stamp set in black ink onto patterned papers from the 6x6 Echo Park Beautiful Life paper pad.  I closed any open outlines with a black gel pen so my Brother Scan N Cut could cut them out for me (no fussy cutting for this gal!).  The sentiment from the Flourishing Thoughts stamp set was also stamped in black.  I layered the card with more papers from the same paper pad and a doily die cut.  For embellishments, I added matte enamel dots.
Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

"Impossible" Floral Card

Hello everyone!  I am on the SVG Attic blog today with this "impossible" card.  This style of card has been pretty popular lately and Jodi created this SVG so it is so simple to create one!  The file is called Flower Urn Bouquet Impossible Card.  The tutorial for it can be found HERE.
The papers I used on it are from DCWV's Peri & Peach stack along with some scraps of solid colored cardstock.  I inked around the flowers lightly with tan chalk ink.  The daisies and heart were popped up with foam tape.  Other adhesives used include ATG and Scotch tacky glue.  I embellished the heart with a bow of Cotton Candy Trendy Twine.  I haven't decided what occasion to use this card for yet, but when I do, I will stamp on the white panel.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ School Chevron Bags

Hello all and happy Thursday!   I am sharing the treat bags I made for the Trendy Twine blog today. This month we are showcasing Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine which was released as a Christmas twist, but as you can see, it is also perfect for back to school projects.
For these fun treats, I started with a Red Chevron Treat Bag, a Black Chevron Treat Bag, and a Light Green Chevron Treat Bag.  I added a homemade white chocolate Macadamia nut cookie to each bag.  Yummy!
Once they were closed, I wrapped the pretty Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine around the bag and added a Black Licorice Tag-It or Cranberry Tag-It to the front with a bow.  The tags were stamped on with the APB You've Got Mail stamp set and VersaMagic Cloud White ink.  I thought that really added a chalk look to the tag!  I added a Christmas Mint Trendy Page Dot and a circle punched from patterned paper to each tag as well.
The finishing touch was sequins from Lime Licorice Batty Sequins and Christmas Shaker Medley to add a little sparkle and pop of color to the bags.

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Back to School Candy Bags

Hello all and happy Thursday! I am sharing a project for the Trendy Twine blog today. This month we are showcasing the super cute Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine which was released as a Christmas twist, but as you can see, it is also perfect for back to school projects.
I made these Back to School candy bags for my boys for their first day of school!  These would also be perfect to give to teachers.  I started with Short Candy Bags and wrapped 4 Hershey's Nuggets with patterned paper for each bag.  The paper dimensions for wrapping the Nuggets are 1" wide x 3" long.  Once the bags were sealed, I wrapped Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine around them and attached A White Metal Rim Tag with an apple sticker on it.  Easy peasy, but super cute!
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
