My oldest son really likes Minecraft, I truly don't know what the obsession about it is, but whatever. LOL! He wanted a birthday party that was all about that, so I obliged :)
Here are the invitations we sent out. The graphic of the invitation was a free printable. I created the Steve head in my SCAL software. It was very easy to make since it is all squares or rectangles.
I added twine behind the head and the head was popped up with thin foam tape. This is the birthday card I created for him. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! I can't take credit for the idea though, I found one with basically the same layout HERE.
The twine I used is Limeade and Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine.
Of course, we had to have party favors, so I used the Steve head again and created these panels which I simply added to the outside of a spiral memo pad. I added a pencil and Voila! Insta party favor :)
These favors were a HUGE hit! The boys have been writing their Minecraft tips and "secrets" in them and then bring them to school to compare notebooks. At the rate they are writing in them, maybe I should have went with regular sized notebooks!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
