Welcome to Friend Friday Blog Hop with DCWV and Chameleon pens!
For my projects today, I used these supplies: DCWV Jet Black stack, DCWV Frameable Quotes stack, DCWV Color & Create Patterns & Prints stack and Chameleon Pens in floral tones.
I made a birthday card and coordinating framed art.For the framed art, I used the DCWV Frameable Quotes stack, Chameleon Pens in floral tones and a 5x7 black frame.
I really loved this 5x7 quote! The gem is so pretty that it was just screaming for some color! The Chameleon Pens in floral tones were absolutely perfect for that! As you can see, they blended so well and created a gorgeous gradient color. I literally have no marker coloring/blending experience, and it turned out awesome! It just goes to show how easy they are to use.
Around the word "sparkle" I used the fine point end on the Chameleon Pens to make little dots to resemble confetti sparkles.
For the card, I used the DCWV Jet Black stack, DCWV Color & Create Patterns & Prints stack and Chameleon Pens in floral tones along with a sentiment stamp and a few sequins. I created it in the "triple time stamping" technique only there was no stamping needed since I colored the printed paper! Here are the exact dimensions of the papers on this card...
For the black glitter layers (paper from the DCWV Jet Black stack) cut rectangles of:
4.25x5.5", 3,25x4.5", and 2.25x3.5"
For the Color & Create layers, you only need to color one paper. The layers are cut nested within each other with these dimensions:
4x5.25", 3x4.25", and 2x3.25"
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the colored layers, or you could use manual dies (if you have them in the correct sizes) or even a ruler and craft knife!
The finishing touch was the sentiment flag and the sequins.
You all know how much I LOVE my DCWV papers already, so it is no surprise that the addition of the Chameleon pens brings them to a whole new level! I truly enjoyed creating gradient colors with no effort and since you don't have to buy several pens to create the look, it is much more cost effective. I look forward to using them more in the future!
Who wants PRIZES???
