Rustic Sunflower Card

Hello all!  Happy Wednesday!  I am posting on the SumMore Fun blog today with this pretty fall themed card.  I don't know about where you live, but we have been freezing (literally!) in Nebraska. Hopefully you are able to enjoy the fall weather and temps longer than us.  The stamps I used are the Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamp and the Raisin Boat No Loss For Words stamp set.The red rubber Large Sunflower stamp will be retired from the SumMoreFun website soon, so grab it while you can!  It is definitely a favorite stamp of many.  To recreate the card I made, you can use a toner ink pad to stamp your sunflower, then foil, stamp with regular black ink, scan it into your computer, then print it out with a laser printer and foil, or even stamp with embossable ink and heat emboss with gold powder.  The end results will all be quite similar.  My foiling didn't turn out perfect as the foil wrinkled in a couple of places, allowing the black toner to show through, but it is a rustic card, so I thought it worked well!  Next up, I watercolored the image with Distress Oxide inks in the following colors: Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint, and Lucky Clover.  I wiped off the excess ink from the foiling with a paper towel.
I ink blended around the edges of the image with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide.  Once it was dry, I sealed the ink with Mod Podge acrylic sealer to prevent ink transfer.  I matted the image with brown cardstock then wrapped Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine around it and added a small tag with a sentiment from the No Loss For Words stamp set.  After adding a bottom layer of distressed patterned papers, The card was complete!  In the photo below you can see the shine of the foiling.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
