Covered Bridge Christmas Card

This is one of those cards that you simply make because you HAVE to use a certain stamp. I absolutely adore this vintage Christmas stamp from Mark's Finest Papers. It is so beautiful!
I am not an image colorer.  I simply don't do it very often, but this one definitely needed some color.  I used watercolors on it and then used some glittery stickles on the trees to mimic snow.  To embellish, I added an olive green mesh ribbon around the center and then made some circles with Holly Berry Trendy Twine behind the image.
The main image panel is popped up with foam tape and the sentiment is from My Craft Spot.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

  15. Your colouring is really smooth. I hope you don't mind my advice but try adding a bit of a darker colour in the areas that would be shaded or further from your eye to add more depth. Like where the bridge walls meet the trees. Both the wall and the trees there would be deeper in colour. It's a lovely stamp and I love your finishing touches. Thank you for joining us at The Shabby Tea Room. i hope to see you play along again next week!
