Who loves Hobby Lobby? I know, dumb question, right?! Well, I am happy to announce that they recently added more DCWV papers to their stores! YAY! This is a luminary I created using those new papers.
Supplies:
DCWV’s Mercury Glass Premium stack (available in HL stores)
DCWV’s 12x12 Silver Shimmer Die Cut sheet (available in HL stores)
Small glass jar with a metal handle
Natural twine
Obtain small glass jar with handle (about pint size). Cut a strip of the pink print paper from DCWV’s Mercury Glass stack at 2.5”x12”. Wrap around jar, securing in the back of the jar with red double sided super sticky tape. Cut one section of the DCWV’s 12x12 Silver Shimmer Die Cut sheet (2” wide x 12” long) and wrap around the jar. Secure on the back side of the jar with mini glue dots.
Wrap 5/8” Natural Burlap ribbon around the center of the paper, tying in a knot in the front. Using an electric die cutting machine, manual die cutting machine or paper punches, cut a 1.5” and 1” star from the silver and gold paper in DCWV’s Mercury Glass stack. Score both stars from top to bottom at each point.
Bend the stars with a mountain fold at each point and a valley fold at the other score lines.
Tie natural twine in a bow to the handle, making a knot at the end of each string. Use glue dots to adhere the stars to the ends of the twine ties. You can also use glue dots to adhere the twine strings in place on the jar if desired. Add battery operated tea light to jar.
