Dinosaur Train Birthday Card

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  I created this card for my dinosaur-loving nephew.
His favorite show is Dinosaur Train and I knew the T-Rex and Pteradactyl from the JGW Dino Party kit were perfect to replicate the characters from that show.
The solid colored papers I used are Jewel Toned Textured Cardstock from DCWV and the Polka Dots is from Oriental Trading.  The embellishments are homemade enamel dots and Orange Limeade Trendy Twine.  The sentiment is from the APB Smile stamp set.
I even added pink tongues inside their mouths by shrinking the top portion of the mouth and cutting the excess eye parts off the top of the cut.  What 5 year old wouldn't love an interactive card?!

Here is a look at everything that is in that set:

Thanks Snow Much Cards

Good morning!  I am sharing these thank you cards with you today that I made for presents that my boys received for their birthdays in December.  I was totally inspired by Shelly's card, so stop by her blog to see it too!
The papers I used are from DCWV's Frosted Spruce stack and the snowflake is from DCWV's 6x6 DIY Project Stack: Ornaments.  I used two sets of Gina Marie Designs dies for the mats...stitched rectangles and scalloped stitched nested rectangles.
A bow of In The Navy Trendy Twine on the snowflake added just the right pop of color.  The sentiment is from APB Let It Snow stamp set and was absolutely perfect for these cards!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

DCWV January Stackaholic Challenge

Hello all!  Welcome to the new year!  With that comes a brand new  DCWV Stackaholic Challenge.  You know you want to join in, right?  Here is the card that I created with this month's sketch.
I used the stunning papers from DCWV's Boho Style stack (available at A.C. Moore stores).  I used quite a bit of creative license with the sketch, but that is what inspiration is all about!
I used stitched rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs for some of the layers.  That gorgeous metallic copper doily was simply fussy cut from one of the Boho Style papers!
Here is the card sketch that I was inspired by:
And here is the layout sketch for this month...
So get those DCWV papers out and get creating!  Let your imagination run wild.  I can't wait to see what you all create!  You have until the end of the month to participate.  Stop by the DCWV blog for more details.

If you want a closer look at the papers in the Boho Style stack, check out my flip through video here:

I Believe In Friends Card

Hello all!  This is a card that I created a few months ago (as you can tell by the green grass in the picture!) but hadn't shared yet.  I made it for a very special crafty friend!
The papers are from DCWV's Watercolor stack, the stamps are from Oak Tree Stamps' Believe set.  I embellished with Bumblebee Trendy Twine and Lime Licorice Batty sequins.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
