Flip & Fold Birthday Card

Hello all!  My mother-in-law celebrated her birthday last week and I knew I wanted to make an extra special card for her.  I ran across this tutorial for a flip & fold card and knew it would be perfect to make!
I started out with the DCWV Meet Me In Paris stack.  It is so gorgeous!  I had a hard time deciding what paper to use.  Since it is double sided it was perfect for this style of card.  I also used solid cardstock in cream and olive green.  I used a GMD floral frame die and a simple flower die, a sentiment stamp from Raisin Boat's Flourishing Thoughts stamp set, GMD Passion Pink clear enamel dots and a bow of Pink Limeade Trendy Twine on the front for the focal point.
Here is the card all opened up.  Isn't it beautiful?!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

New Baby Fox Card **Sneak Peek**

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses brand new, never seen before digi papers and stamp set called Foxy Lady.  This card is made entirely with the digi papers except for the sentiment, which I used the physical stamp set to add.  They are now available at SumMore Fun.
I am not normally a digi person.  I have such a hard time figuring out how to use them without wasting a bunch of paper and ink!  My crafty friend, Theresa, had a quick tutorial on her blog so I used that and good old Google to find out how to utilize the beautiful Foxy Lady digi papers for my card.  After all, I wanted to use that darling mother and baby fox as my focal point!  Here is what it looked like in my SCAL4 software.  The card cutting file that I created can be seen on the right and what was actually printed/cut is on the left.
Here is a close up of that sweet image.  The best part about the digi papers is that they were a perfect match!  No trying to find patterned papers that didn't have the same scheme as the image.  I used brown ink around all of the cuts to add definition and a bit of distressing.  The oval is popped up with foam tape.
Here you can see The sentiment that I stamped in black ink.  I just love that font AND the sweet saying!  I embellished with Black and Ice White Pearl Pen dots and it was complete!  Make sure to stop by SumMore Fun this Friday to purchase the Foxy Lady stamp set and/or digi papers!  Also available are Foxy Lady stickers, 6x6 papers and 12x12 papers :)
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Spring Treat

Happy Thursday!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this cute spring treat.  It uses our two featured items for the month of April, Pink Limeade Trendy Twine and a 2x8 Zip Bag.

I filled the 2x8 Zip Bag with Hershey's Nuggets...which are a favorite with crafters since they are easily customized by wrapping them with cardstock 1" wide x 3" long!  I added the top paper to the front side of the bag, then adhered a Spring Green Tag-It and a chipboard flower to it with Pink Limeade Trendy Twine.  The sentiment stamps are from the APB Choose Happy stamp set.  I also added a Kraft Brown Trendy Page Dot to the flower.  Last of all, I added Raspberry Cupcake sequins to finish off this fun treat bag!

Here's a closeup of this month's featured Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Coffee Cup Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The coffee themed card I am sharing with you uses Raisin Boat's Guilty Pleasures stamp set.  It is an awesome set!
I started off by stamping the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink, then watercolored it with Distress Inks in Weathered Wood, Antique Linen, Mowed Lawn, and Vintage Photo.  When it was dry, I die cut it with a GMD pleated lace square die.  I used OWH sketch #6 for the layout of the card.  I really wanted to use fun patterned papers and so I went with Echo Park's For the Record 2 6x6 pad.  I added a sentiment from the same Guilty Pleasures stamp set at the bottom, once again, stamped in black.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
