GIU Gal ~ Day 1

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week! Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  This is my second post on my blog today.  If you are looking for my Trendy Twine post, click HERE.

Today is Day #1, and even though it is Christmas, I decided to go with a general card theme.
The stamp set from Unity that I used is called In Love With Love (KOM 6/14).  I used brown ink for the stamps.  The patterned papers are from G45's Home Sweet Home collection.
I made two cards, reversing the color scheme.  The dies I used on this card include GMD scalloped stitched rectangle and stitched rectangle dies and Cottage Cutz stitched oval die.
Here is a close up of that pretty image stamp.
I embellished with Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine and white pearls.

  26. You offer an interesting way to use brown as your image color. It’s much softer than always using black.

  27. Simply beautiful card. The paper choices just showcase the stamp without detracting from it. I need to take a cue and stamp on patterned paper more. I am always fearful that doing so will detract but I think you have given me the courage to try.

  30. Love the patterned papers you chose. That stitched rectangular die is a must have too. I’ve never stamped in brown before because I thought it was too drab. Thanks for showing me how to make it work!
