Lion Birthday Card

I made two of these cards as part of a package for my mom.  I thought I'd be a nice daughter and make her some cards to send out :)  I thought these would be perfect for my young nephews.
The patterned paper that I used, which I totally LOVE, is from My Mind's Eye (Alphabet Soup Boy) and it was a $5 black Friday deal at Michael's!  The cute lion is from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I have the lion and the rectangles underneath it popped up with foam tape.
To finish it off, I added three homemade enamel dots in the top left corner and some orange crinkled seam binding around the bottom.

This starts the beginning of a new challenge at DoubleClick Connections with the Animal theme.  Head on over to enter if you have created a project that fits the theme!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

  3. Awww, such an adorable card! I love that paper pad and happen to find it at Michaels yesterday, there have been no "hot buy" pads for weeks and weeks and this one mysteriously was waiting for me to buy. Now to think what to create with it or just hoard it, haha! I love that little lion and those enamel dots are addicting, I've been making my own too! Have a fabulous weekend my friend!
