Two Handled Easter Basket

It is once again my day to post for the SVG Attic design team!  I have been so eager for spring to be here and it finally is!  I couldn't help but make an Easter basket filled with goodies.
The file I used for the basket itself is from the Charmingly Green set and I used the shamrock bowl.  All I did was take the shamrocks out of the cutting files so the sides of my basket were blank.  I also added two handles on it simply by cutting two pieces of green cardstock at .75"x6" and adhering them to the inside of the basket.
On the sides I made a white circle that was 2.25" tall and embossed it with my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I popped those up with pop dots.  Then I used the chick and bunny peeps from the Easter Fun set and sized them to fit nicely in the circle.
I cut one chick and one bunny out of each color of cardstock, added chalk ink, doodle dots and even a white felt circle for the bunny tails :)
Here is a close up of one of the sides.
Last I added 5 buttons to each of the handles just to add a little more character and finished it off with a beautiful bow of rumpled ribbon and a tag with a stamped sentiment.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Feel Better Band-Aid Card

Hello everyone, I am pleased to announce that I am a guest designer for the Crafting By Designs blog this month.  They have a month long Anything Goes Challenge, so head on over and enter!
For my project, I made a get well card.  I rarely make this type of card, but when the need arises I love using bright colors that are sure to brighten anyone's spirits!  The papers I used are DCWV's Dots, Stripes and Plaids stack and also their Fiber stack.
For this card I used cutting files that are from SVG Attic's Feel Better Soon kit.  I am a nurse and that set is just totally me!  I fell in love with the band-aids that are on this card and of course, had to add that red cross.
I didn't add much dimension to this card since it is going to be sent through the mail, but I did add four colors of twine around the bottom to add texture.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Lucky Me Box

I wanted to share this St. Patty's Day box I made using file from SVG Attic.  I decided to go with a shabby chic feel on it.  I used the Lucky Me kit  for the Lucky Me and postage stamp cuts.  The box itself was from the Basic Deep Lid Boxes kit.  The patterned paper is from DCWV's Guy stack.
Here is a top view.  I added green bling, chocolate truffle trendy twine, glossy accents and white gel pen accents.  All the edges of the papers were inked with dark brown chalk ink.
I added green leaves and Washington white rumpled ribbon all around the lid and tied it in a double bow in the front.  The little glittered shamrock charm is from Snapdragon Snippets' March Charms set.  I added two layers of glossy accents to it so it really shines!
And of course, since it is a box, here it is opened!
Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Horseshoe Card

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card with you that is perfect for St. Patrick's Day, but could easily be used as a good luck card at any time of the year.  I used the Lucky Me kit from SVG Attic for the horseshoe postage stamp cuts.  I just love the postage stamp cuts in that kit!  The green plaid paper is from DCWV's Guy stack.  The card base is 5" square.
To embellish it, I added several faux stitching and accent pen lines in black and white.  I added green bling, chocolate truffle trendy twine and a button.  The stamped sentiment is from Cardz TV's stamp set Simply Said.  The cute little glittered shamrock charm is from Snapdragon Snippets' March Charms set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Intricate Snowflake Card

SVG Attic just released a brand new SVG set called Ice Princess Party Pack a couple days ago.  It is so darling and is perfect for all the Frozen movie fans out there.  I only have boys, so I probably won't have the opportunity to use it for a birthday party, but that didn't stop me from using elements from it to make this beautiful card!
I fell in love with this intricate snowflake as soon as I saw it.  It really captures the beauty that can be seen in real ones.  It is from the envelope file from the kit and so is the square behind the snowflake.  I sized the snowflake at 3.75" high and cut it out of silver glitzy glitter paper by DCWV.  It truly shines in the light!  The square behind it is 4".  I created a blackout shadow of the snowflake in turquoise to help the snowflake stand out from the DP.  The gray trim at the bottom is from Erin's Scalloped Trims and I sized it at 0.5" tall then trimmed it to fit the card front.

Of course, what would a snowflake be without a little extra dazzle?  Okay, so maybe a lot of dazzle :)  I added silver rhinestones on the snowflake and in the corners of the square plus a large blue one in the center of the snowflake.  Add stamping, a bow and there you have the finished card!

Here is a look at the entire Ice Princess Party Pack.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
