Shark Birthday Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a card and envelope I recently created for my shark-loving nephew.  It was created using files from Bird's SVG's Jawsome collection.
I used papers from DCWV's Coastal stack for all the prints.
I really loved the pearl foil treatment on some of the papers.  It added so much without being too girly :)  On the front of the card, I added two manual die cuts of GMD Tropical Fish #1 to fill in a little of the blank space.  I also added black pearl pen for the pupils in the eyes.
I chose to use the tag from the Jawsome collection instead of the sentiment included with this card.  I really loved how the tag looked inside, especially with that bite out of it!  I finished the tag off with Sky Trendy Twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Thank You in Pink & Gold

Hello and welcome back to another Wednesday with SumMore Fun!  Before I dive into my project for today, I want to tell you about the stamp set I used, called Talking In Circles.  That stamp set makes creating cards a snap!  Do yourself a favor and check it out on SumMore Fun because you can get the whole 4x6" stamp set for as little as $0.99!  Yes, it is truly that reduced of a price!
Now on to my card...
I stamped the thank you circle from the Raisin Boat Talking In Circles set using tan ink.  I die cut several elements of this card with manual dies to layer it how I wanted.  With a couple sheets of pretty papers and the Talking In Circles stamp set you can have a card done very quickly.  I embellished this card with burlap ribbon and dots of gold pearl pen.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Thankful Note Card

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  With Thanksgiving only a couple days away, I thought a thankful themed note card would be very appropriate for this post.
I started with a Natural Scallop Note Card with Kraft Small Envelope.  I stamped images from APB Hello Fall Planner Stamp set using Distress Oxides in Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade.  The sentiment stamp is from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and was stamped in brown ink.  I inked around the outside with brown chalk ink, tied some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine around it and adhered some Autumn Sequins.
I even decorated the Kraft Small Envelope with the images from the APB Hello Fall Planner Stamp set!  I also thought these notecards would be adorable as place cards for special occasions...what do you think?

Train Birthday Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Today I am on the SumMore Fun blog with this train birthday card.  The Victorine Originals 1502 train stamp is one I have had for several years...in fact when I created with this stamp a couple of years ago and shared it on Facebook, it started the ball rolling for me to be a part of the SumMore Fun design team!
I started by stamping the train onto gray flecked cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and my stamp platform.  I wanted the front part of the train track to stick out from the circle die cut, so I fussy cut around that area and traced around the outline of the die so I would know where I wanted the stamp to end up.
Then I slid the circle die under the area of the train track that I had fussy cut and lined up the die with the circle I had drawn on the paper.  I then die cut it with my Spellbinders Platinum 6.
Here it is all matted with a black circle and popped up with foam tape on the card.  I used torn edge dies as well as patterned and metallic papers to add to the rustic feel of the card.
I thought the card needed a sentiment, so I got out the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and stamped it in black on the gray flecked paper I used Gray Licorice Trendy Twine and Black Pearl Pen dots for embellishments.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Fall Twine & Tag

Hello everyone!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a twine & tag post.  I fell in love with the Happy Fall Pumpkins Print & Punch Tags I used on my treat bags earlier this month, so I decided to use that to make a festive fall tag!
I started with a Spring Green Large Tag-It and added a banner of DCWV printed cork for a fun fall texture.  The Happy Fall Pumpkins Print & Punch Tag (cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut) is the focal point and I matted it with a scalloped circle die cut.  I used Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle to adhere Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine around the circle and the tiny bow.  At the top of the tag, I used a Kraft Brown Trendy Page Dot and more Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine for a tassel.  For the final embellishment, I glued on three Chocolate Truffle Sequins to the top right side.

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Happy Birthday Lesley!

Hello all!  Today the Trendy Twine DT and GDT are letting Lesley, the owner of Annie's Paper Boutique, how much she means to us on her birthday!!  Make sure to head over to the Trendy Twine blog to see the projects the other ladies have created.  I sent her a fun fold Hello Kitty card and gift certificate holder.
I made a triangle fold intersecting birthday card using THIS tutorial.  The papers are from a Cricut Hello Kitty package.  I created the Hello Kitty SVG in my SCAL4 software and cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.  The scalloped circle and patterned paper within it were cut with manual dies.  I also used a manual die from Pink and Main for the lace border.
The Hello tag was created with supplies from Annie's Paper Boutique which includes:  White Metal Rim Tag, Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dot, Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and a sentiment stamp from APB Smile stamp set.  The finishing touches were Raspberry Cupcake sequins, Pink Diamond Sparkling Gems, and some Wink of Stella glitter on the hairbow.
Here is what the card looks like opened up.  I added an insert that was die cut with a scalloped rectangle die and stamped with more sentiments from the APB Smile stamp set.
Next up, the gift certificate holder!  I printed a GC off from Amazon, folded it and slid it into a Biggie Glassine Bag.  I added a topper of Hello Kitty paper then decided a tag would be the perfect touch!
The supplies I used for the tag include:  Large Pink Tag-ItPink Midnight Trendy Page DotRaspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and a sentiment stamp from APB You've Got Mail stamp set. To the bottom of the Tag-It, I added another lace die cut and strip of Hello Kitty paper.  The finishing touches were Raspberry Cupcake sequinsPink Diamond Sparkling Gems and I simply stapled it to the bag topper.
I hope you enjoyed this gift set and that Lesley does too!  Make sure to stop by the Trendy Twine Blog to leave her some birthday love.  Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Beat This Cancer Card

Hello all!  I am back with another cancer themed card for the SumMore Fun blog.  This time it has a masculine kidney cancer theme.  That is the awesome part about the SumMore Fun You Can stamp set...with a different ink color and patterned paper, the whole FEEL of the card can be totally different.  You can see other cards I have made with this stamp set HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
I started by die cutting a piece of the patterned paper with a wonky stitched rectangle die then stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear powder.  I matted it with coordinating colors of cardstock then added three eyelets to the top right corner.  I stamped the cancer ribbon with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink, heat embossed it with clear powder, then cut it out with my Brother Scan N Cut. I did have to use my craft knife to cut the inside hole of the ribbon.  The ribbon was popped up with foam tape and the card was complete!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Gift Card Gifting with Annie's Paper Boutique

Gift Cards are popular for gift giving, especially during the holidays. The Trendy Gals and Theresa have each created some beautiful GC holders using Trendy Twine, Packaging, and Christmas stamps.  Make sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog to see them all!  This is a great way to add a little handmade touch to the gift. You can find all of these goodies at Annie’s Paper Boutique.  Here is the one I created:
I wanted to stick with a rustic Christmas theme, so I started with a Kraft Paper Pocket and created word art on it by stamping sentiments from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set in brown all over it.  I stamped the Happy Christmas sentiment in red on natural cardstock and glued a border and bow of Cherry Latte Trendy Twine on it.  That rectangle was popped up with foam tape for extra visual interest.  For a little extra sparkle, I added some sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley.
To create the tag, I trimmed a Natural Tag-It then rounded the bottom corners.  I stamped a star from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set in red and the words from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set in brown.  I added a couple of sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley, and a Cherry Latte Trendy Page Dot. Once I added the gift card inside (it was a perfect fit!) I punched a hole in the top of the Kraft Paper Pocket to add the tag with a tassel of Cherry Latte Trendy Twine.
Doesn't this project make you smile? Imagine that smile on your loved ones’ faces when they receive a personal yet versatile gift like one of these. You can find all of the different kinds of Paper Pockets HERE.
Now is the best time to stock up on any of the Annie's Paper Boutique Christmas stamp sets that you don't have yet.  Through this weekend they are only $12 each with free U.S. shipping!

Thankful Fall Wreath Card

Hello all!  I am on the SumMore Fun blog with this card today.  I had so much fun using different elements from the Raisin Boat Thankful stamp set to create it.  You can get this stamp set for a steal of a price...only $5.99 and it works for fall and winter!
I used the wreath builder technique on this card with my stamp platform.  I cut a 4" square of white cardstock and stamped the grapevine wreath in the center of it using brown Memento ink.  Then I stamped leaves and berries using Distress Oxides in Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge, Fossilized Amber, and Fired Brick.  The bow was also stamped in Fired Brick.  The sentiment was the last thing I stamped and that was with the brown Memento ink.  I layered the stamped panel onto printed papers from DCWV's Fall & Halloween Basics stack and added a mustard burlap ribbon along the left side.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Fall Treat Bags

Hello and happy Tuesday!  It is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  This month we are featuring Orange Truffle Trendy Twine and Mini Kraft Paper Bags.  Here is what I created with them!
I started by adding a fun size package of M&M's to the Mini Kraft Paper Bag and adhering the flap shut.  I then punched a hole in the top left corner of the bag and dressed that up with a Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Page Dot.  I wrapped Orange Truffle Trendy Twine through the hole in the bag and around the length of it and tied it in a bow.  Two strips of washi tape at the top helped hide the closure of the bag and add more great fall colors!
At the bottom of the bag, I adhered a Happy Fall Pumpkins Print & Punch Tag that I had cut with my Brother Scan N Cut and matted with woodgrain paper. The finishing touch was a trio of Autumn Sequins.  Now these treat bags are ready to put a smile on someone's face this season!

This month the fall Trendy Twine samplers are on sale!
