Country Style Wedding Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Springtime Love stamp set.  I love that stamp set.  It has so many uses!  This time, I mad a wedding card with it.
I stamped the heart from Springtime Love in tan ink, then stamped the words in black and gray.  Using a stamp platform definitely made lining all those stamps up way easier than using an acrylic block!  I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut around the stamped image.  I created the background of the card using PhotoPlay Paper (We Do Collection), GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die, and silver washi tape.  I popped the stamped image up with foam tape on the center of the card.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Magical Unicorn Box Card

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  It is such a bittersweet post to write as it will be my last as part of that AMAZING team.  The owners of SVG Attic have decided to focus their energies on their family and other commitments (as it should be!) and close the SVG Attic/SnapDragon Snippets store at the end of February.  The good news is, their designs will still be available in the Silhouette Design Store and they sell SVG files there now too, so that will be an avenue to still get their beautiful designs.  Being part of their Inspiration Team as coordinator for the last 5 years under their ownership (and being part of it even before that) has been such a rewarding experience filled with beautiful friendships and much generosity.  It will be greatly missed <3

Now onto my final project...I decided to do something that would be forever memorable to me.  It isn't something huge or crazy involved, but will be close to my heart always.  I used the JGW Unicorn Magic Kit (SVG Attic store) or Unicorn Rainbow 3D Box Card #270072 (Silhouette Store) to make a first birthday card for my sweet baby girl.  Her birthday isn't until July, but this way it will be ready to give to her when the time comes :)
The majority of the papers I used are from Craft Smith's Stay Magical paper pad.  I added a little extra sparkle to different areas with a clear glitter Wink of Stella pen.
I also used papers from DCWV's 6x6 Whites and Gold Foil stacks for the clouds an clear acetate on the layers with the sun and rainbow.
Adhesives include ATG, tacky glue, foam tape, red line tape and Glue Dots (for the acetate).  I embellished the front with heart and star brads!
Here is a view of the card folded up flat so it can be mailed, or in my case, scrapbooked.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Motorcycle Cards

Hello friends!  I am back with another blog post for the Trendy Twine blog.  Our featured twine for the month is Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  I decided to do something very different from the love theme that is generally present this month and made some masculine cards.
My first card uses our featured Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine wrapped around the background papers.  I stamped a motorcycle from Raisin Boat's Highway High stamp set in black then heat embossed it with clear powder for shine.  The sentiment was from the same set and was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder.
I die cut around it with oval dies then popped that panel up with foam tape over the Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  Two square sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley were attached in the top right corner using Glue Dots.
After making the red card, I had to make one with orange!  I love how the orange really pops against the black and grays. It was made in the same way as the red card except I used enamel dots to embellish instead of sequins.
Here you can see the shine of the embossing on the motorcycle.

Soda Birthday Cards

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The cards I am sharing with you use the SumMore Fun Soda-Lighted stamp set.  I love that set and it is a hit with my boys too!
I decided to make several of these cards, stamping them on patterned paper that is reminiscent of different kinds of pop.  First up, the "Mountain Dew" can.  I stamped the can image with the word soda in it using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear powder.  I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut it out, then made a shadow layer to matte it on also with my Scan N Cut.  The patterned papers I used for this card are from DCWV's Fiesta Forever stack.  I added highlights to the can using white gel pen.
The other cards I made use patterned papers from MME Alphabet Soup-Boy paper pad.  This one is reminiscent of Orange Fanta.  The pop can is popped up with foam tape onto the white panel with the sentiment from the Fun Soda-Lighted stamp set.  That panel was die cut using a GMD wonky stitched rectangle die.  I also stamped bubbles on the background paper from that stamp set for a little extra fun.  I added sequins to the cards with Glue Dots.
Here is a look at the 4 different styles of cards that I made using the Fun Soda-Lighted stamp set.  Fun, right?!  Using my stamp platform made making multiples so quick!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hot Air Balloon Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day!  This year I went away from the traditional Valentines because I just wasn't feeling that.  I wanted something different to send to family, and this card fit the bill!
I used background paper from The Paper Studio's Best Day Ever paper pad.  I loved the bright colors and the hearts on some of the balloons!  The stamps are from Stampin Up! Time To Celebrate set.  I stamped the image in blue and the sentiment in black.  That panel was die cut with a GMD stitched rectangle die and matted with a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die cut.  I die cut hearts to embellish with from the GMD Heart Confetti Die.  Adhesives used include ATG, foam tape and tacky glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Giddy Up Cards

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The cards I am sharing with you use two Raisin Boat stamp sets called Giddy Up! and Urban Cowgirl.  Those sets work so well together!
First up, the sleek masculine card.  I promised masculine cards for you this month, and here it is!  The stitched background decoration was from the Urban Cowgirl set and the sentiment is from Giddy Up!.  They were stamped in Pumice Stone Distress Oxide.  I love how the Distress Oxides POP off of the dark cardstock!  I used my stamp platform to ensure all of my stamps were lined up perfectly and to double stamp the Distress Oxides to make them brighter.
I stamped the horse head from Giddy Up! using Versafine Onyx Black ink and die cut around it using a GMD slash stitched oval die.  I also matted behind that with the larger size of die cut.  Those were popped up with foam tape.  The only embellishment was three silver adhesive dots at the bottom.
Of course I had to make a card with pink for those cowgirls too!  It was made in the same manner, but this one is more rustic than the previous card.
The main differences are the stamped background stitching in Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide and the coloring in of the horse.  I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink and my aqua brush to watercolor the horse.  I thought it matched the background cardstock well!  I also stamped the sentiment in black on this card to make it stand out better from the brown.
Make sure you join me again next Wednesday for another set of cards that can be loved by guys, gals, and kids alike!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Annie's Paper Boutique~Valentines from Notecards

Hello friends!  I am back with another blog post for the Trendy Twine blog.  I was in need of some Valentine's Day cards...and fast!  I was trying to decide what to make that would be cute and quick and came up with this idea.  I used S.W.A.K. 3x4 Printable Cards available at Annie's Paper Boutique.
I simply printed them off onto white cardstock and cut around them.  I chose coordinating solid colored cardstock for a shadow behind the printed panel and fun patterned paper from The Paper Studio's Best Day Ever paper pad for the background.  All layers were adhered with ATG.
On two of the cards, I stamped a Hugs & Kisses sentiment from APB You & Me Planner Stamps using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.  These were very quick to make for those of you who may be like me, scrambling to get those last minute cards in before the holiday :)  Be sure to check out all the printables at Annie's Paper Boutique!
Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Valentine Heart Treats

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I wanted to make something for my boys to give to their teachers for the occasion.  The Heart 3D Shaped Mini Candy Box file was perfect!
I used papers from DCWV's Romantic Life stack to create them.  Jodi has a quick tutorial HERE if you have any questions on assembly, but these are very quick to make!
I used 3 sheets of paper, but since the paper is double sided, I was able to use the back side to accent if I desired!
My boys wrote their names on the tags and I tied them on with various colors of Trendy Twine.  I used Tacky glue to assemble the hearts with a bit of foam tape behind the heart accent with hexagons on it.  I was able to fit 2-5 stick packs of gum in each of these for a little treat for the teachers.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Valentine Treat Bags

Hello friends!  I am back with another blog post for the Trendy Twine blog.  Our featured twine for the month is Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  It is perfect for Valentine's Day treats and so much more!
I decorated Large Treat Sacks with toppers for today's project.  Starting with white cardstock folded in half, I stamped  APB You & Me Planner Stamps in red and black inks, making each topper different.  I then accented each topper with Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine, each in a unique way.
I wrapped the Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine around three times then added a bow.
This one has three bows glued to the centers of the arrows.
This final one simply has rows of Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine at angles.  I attached the toppers to the Large Treat Sacks with Linear Coverage Glue Dots.  Now these treats are ready for Valentine's Day!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
