Ant Birthday Cards

I have a couple nephews who love bugs, so I made this card for them.
The papers I used are from DCWV's Boyhood stack and I added GMD ant die cuts and lime sequins.
For the tag, I used a Kraft Tag-It, Chocolate Truffle and Limeade Trendy Twines.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamp's Boy Talk set and it was stamped with Ranger Dye Ink in Java Bean.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

O Holy Night Church Card

Good morning! Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  Today I am sharing this elegant O Holy Night Church card that uses Raisin Boat's O Holy Night stamp set.
I stamped the church with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I watercolored the image and then cut around it with my electronic cutting machine.
The night sky background was created with several colors of Distress Oxide inks (Fossilized Amber, Faded Denim, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Black Soot) on watercolor paper.  I added a piece of white torn paper at the bottom to resemble snow and die cut it with GMD Loopy Rectangle die.  The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder onto the background.  The church was popped up with foam tape and lastly, I added Stickles on the snow areas as well as on the background.

Here is a look at the O Holy Night stamp set:

Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

Stacked Cupcakes Birthday Card

Hello all!  This card was created for a sweet 3 year old.  Perfect, right?!
I used a My Scrap Chick file called Stacking Cupcakes.  The patterned papers are from Echo Park's Beautiful Life 6x6 paper pad.
I inked the individual cuts with brown chalk ink.  The sentiment stamp is from a retired My Craft Spot set.  The only embellishing I did was a few doodles with white gel pen and white Nuvo Crystal Drops.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Christmas Treat Bags

For me, most of the fun at Christmas time is the joy of giving gifts to others!  Today I am sharing treat bags that I made up for my nieces, nephews, and my boys.  The products I used are from Oriental Trading.  I totally love their selection of stocking stuffers!
The adorable bags are Christmas Treat Bags with Handles and I love that they are opaque with vivid Christmas prints on them.  The handles are nice and sturdy too.   Here is the list of the treats I added to each bag for the older kids:  camo fidget spinner, Snappy popcorn microwave popcorn, Christmas Mini Notebook, Scripture Candy Old-Fashioned Soft Mints, Holiday Treat Character,
Hershey's Kisses® with Mint Truffle Filling Chocolate Candy, and Dum Dums® Holiday Lollipops.
I created a quick tag for each of the bags using paper from the Christmas/Winter Paper Pack
In the younger kids' bags, I removed the popcorn and small toy (choking hazards) and added a second Christmas Mini NotebookTransparent Glitter Stacking Point Crayon, and a mini fidget spinner instead of the larger one.  I know the kids will love these treats as much as I did putting them together!
The review of this product is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product above. I was provided the sample free of charge by Oriental Trading Co. and I provided my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.

SumMore Fun Mood Board #16

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
I created a shaker card based on the Victorine Originals Empty Snow Globe stamp.  here are the different pieces/cuts to create this card!
The Empty Snow Globe stamp was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with copper embossing powder.  I then colored it in with colored pencils and then die cut a circle out of the globe area.  I also die cut a circle in the same area of the card base.  The shaker portion of the card was created with my fuse tool and a plastic page protector, sealing the sequins inside.  It was placed between the snowflake and blue layers.
I stamped the Victorine Originals Elk Silhouette in Snow stamp on a circle that I adhered to the center of the card.  Embellishments on this card include In The Navy Trendy Twine and GMD Iris Sparkle enamel dots.  The papers used are from DCWV's Frosted Spruce stack.
This is the wonderful mood board for the current challenge:
Head on over to the SumMore Fun blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s.  We can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board.  Remember your project doesn't have to be All Tied Up only. You have three options Photo Inspiration, Color Palette, and/or Theme.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!  Today on the Trendy Twine blog, the DT has wonderful thanksgiving projects to share with you.  Make sure to head over there to see them all!  Here is the card I created.
I wrapped Orange Truffle Trendy TwineSpiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine, and Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine around the patterned paper (DCWV's Sweater Weather stack) on the card base.  I die cut a leaf out of the Mango Large Tag-It and traced around the opening with pencil onto the card front.  I then adhered Autumn Sequins, and Chocolate Truffle Sequins in the area that would show through the leaf cut.  The Mango Large Tag-It was decorated with more of the Trendy Twines and a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set.  The tag was adhered to the front with foam tape.
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Baptism Card

I love creating frilly things for girls, and since I have all boys, I jumped at the chance when my mom asked me to create a girl baptism card!
For the papers, I used DCWV's Whites 6x6, Gold Foil 6x6, and Fairytale Dreams stacks.  It is hard to see, but the cross die cut is a glittery white paper.  The dies I used are Cottage Cutz Ornate Cross die, Spellbinders Floral Oval die, and Stitched Rectangle and Scalloped Stitched Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs.
To embellish, I used white crinkled seam binding, GMD soft pink pearls, and a little flower.  Adhesives used include ATG and Scotch Tacky glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Thankful Treat Bags

Hello all and happy Tuesday!  I am sharing these thankful treat bags that my 5 year-old son and I created on the Trendy Twine blog today.
He wanted to make something for his preschool teachers, so I got out my Annie's Paper Boutique and let him choose what he wanted to use!  He started by stamping the Kraft Large Tag-It with a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set in blue (his favorite color!) and a pumpkin stamp which we heat embossed with copper embossing powder.  He added the tags to Orange Chevron Treat Bags.

Here are the finished bags! He also used Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Page Dots and Creamy Pumpkin Trendy Twine on the tags.
He added candy in the bags and glued them shut with removable Glue Dots. The tag was adhered with Craft Glue Dots.
Connor was really proud of the treats he gave to his teachers!

Here is what we used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Christmas Cookies!

Good Monday Morning!  I recently was baking Christmas cookies to freeze for next month, and that spurred me to create this set of projects for you today!  All of the files are from SVG Attic's JGW Mama Kringle's Kitchen.
The Pretzel card was quick to assemble.  I inked around the cuts with brown chalk ink for extra dimension.
I also inked around the cuts on the tart (or as I like to see it, pie!) card.  For the topping, I brushed Crackle Accents on it and added glitter.  It really looks like a pie crust that is crackled and glittery with sugar!
I also made the ribbon box from that set to hold some cookies!  You can find the tutorial for assembling this box HERE.  All patterned papers on these projects are from DCWV's Hand Painted Christmas stack.
Here is the inside of the box.  It fit 9 cookies inside!
And just because I love to bake, here is a close up of the White Chocolate Peppermint Pudding cookies that went inside the box.  They are more yellow because I used French Vanilla pudding instead of the traditional vanilla pudding mix.  If you are a fan of peppermint, I highly recommend trying out the recipe HERE.  They are yummy and stay soft, just like I like my cookies :)
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Jawsome Birthday Card

Happy Friday!  I am glad we have made it to the end of the week :)  Today I am sharing a card that I created for one of my nephews who LOVES sharks!
The file I used came from Bird's Cards and the set was called Jawsome.  I used papers from DCWV's Beach House stack.  The front was embellished with black Nuvo Crystal Drops and Stormy Trendy Twine.
The inside opens to a pop-out shark!  He absolutely loved it!  The water part on the inside was not included in the file, I just hand cut and glued it on with Scotch Tacky glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Happy Birthday, Lesley!

Hello everyone!  Today the whole Trendy Twine DT and two past DT are surprising Lesley, the owner of Annie's Paper Boutique/Trendy Twine with a birthday post!  The most fun part is that it is a day early, so hopefully we pulled this off without her suspecting ;)  Head on over to the Trendy Twine blog to see all of the cards for her and to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  This is the card I sent to her!
I thought this card resembled a three tier birthday card, so I decided to make it using THIS tutorial.  On the bottom tier I decorated with a Pink Tag-ItAPB Smile stamp setCandy Cane Trendy Page Dot, and Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  I adhered the tag with foam tape onto a GMD regal doily die cut.
On the second and third tiers, I added sentiments from the APB Choose Happy stamp set.
The finishing touch was adding several Frosty Sequins to the base of the card.
The fun part is that the top two tiers slid down into the bottom tier, so when it is sent in the mail, it looks like a single layer birthday cake :)  Pulling on the candles lets the other layers slide up.  The papers I used on this card are from DCWV's Confetti stack.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
