Root Beer Float Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Crunch Time stamp set.  I made it for my brother in law's birthday, which happens to be today.
I started out by stamping the image and sentiment onto white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing it with black powder.  I die cut the rectangle with a GMD wonky stitched rectangle die and proceeded to watercolor the image with Distress Oxide inks.  I used the following colors:  Vintage Photo, Candied Apple, and Pumice Stone.  I embellished the frothy areas of the image with a snow marker.  Other elements used on this card include plaid paper from DCWV's Luxe Lodge stack, ribbon, and brads.
I also wanted to show you the inside sentiments I added to the card.  I am a person who keeps the inside of a card simple, so there is no extra decoration there, just the fun stamps from the Raisin Boat Crunch Time stamp set!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Feather Thank You Card

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I made thank you card using Totally Navy Trendy Twine, which is our featured color for June.
I started with the beautiful gold foiled feather paper and added Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide to it.  After die cutting the background papers, I wrapped Totally Navy Trendy Twine around it before adhering it to the card base.  The sentiment panel was created with more die cuts and popped up with foam tape.  I added a single bow of Totally Navy Trendy Twine next to it.  The finishing touch was a few dots of gold pearl pen.  A simple, yet elegant card complete!

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Lily Sympathy Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat In Loving Memory stamp set.
I started out by stamping the single lily from the In Loving Memory stamp set onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossing it with regular white embossing powder.  I then ran it through a laminator with a gold foil sheet to get the beautiful foiled image.  For extra color, I used Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink, smeared it on my craft mat, spritzed it with water, then dabbed my stamped image into the ink.  I just LOVE how the oxidation created different colors!  I used a GMD pleated square die to cut around the flower and popped it up with foam tape.
All of the patterned papers are from DCWV's Lilac Love stack.  I stamped a sentiment from the In Loving Memory stamp set using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Lastly, I added a few dots of gold Pearl pen!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Foiled Floral Cards

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The cards I am sharing with you use the Victorine Originals Floral and Sayings stamp set.
On these cards, I tried my hand at foiling for the first time!  I love the shiny metallic finish it gives, but it is hard to capture that in photos.  For this anniversary card, I stamped the floral bouquet from the Floral and Sayings stamp set onto white paper using VersaMark ink and heat embossed with regular white embossing powder.  I always use my stamp platform when embossing!  I then ran the stamped paper with a piece of foil (shiny side up) through my laminator (no carrier sheet).  When the paper was cool, I peeled off the foil to reveal the image!
I used various oval dies to cut around the floral design and added a Happy Anniversary sticker to the center.  I embellished with Pearl Pen dots in Gold and Ice White and white seam binding ribbon.
For my second card, I followed the same foiling process except I used an ultrafine embossing powder and it gave a more bold foiled image.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Floral and Sayings stamp set in black.  I added a double bow of Pink Midnight Trendy Twine in the bottom right corner.
See that metallic shine?!  It definitely makes an eye-catching card!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Die Cuttin Diva's Guest Designer

Hello all!   I am guest designer over at the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog today.  They have a new challenge theme this week with the theme of Masculine/Father's Day.   Remember, you need to use a die cut to enter their challenge!  Here is what I created for inspiration:
Supplies I used to create my card include: DCWV's Guy stack, GMD stitched rectangle die, GMD Cut In Cut Out Star dies, and brads.  The 65 was die cut using my Silhouette Cameo and the Copperplate Gothic Bold font.
Remember to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog to check out the other DT inspiration and to enter their Masculine/Father's Day challenge!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Patriotic Box

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I made a patriotic treat box using a 2x2 Kraft Box and Totally Navy Trendy Twine.
While the 2x2 Kraft Box was still flat (unassembled), I stamped 3 different sizes of stars from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set all over it.  I used Distress Oxides in Faded Jeans, Candied Apple, and Antique Linen for that.  Once those were dry, I wrapped Totally Navy Trendy Twine around the top flap, tied a bow, and attached a tiny tag on which I stamped a "thankful" sentiment from the APB Feeling Happy Planner Stamps in Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink.    Simple, yet cute.
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Happy Father's Day Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Victorine Originals Large Happy Father's Day red rubber stamp.  It can also be purchased as part of the To My Parents set, which is on clearance right now!
I started out by prepping the background using watercolor paper and Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, and Vintage Photo.  I had a large acrylic block that I smeared the inks on, spritzed it with water, then turned the block over onto the watercolor paper.  I added weight onto the block and let it set for 5 minutes, then removed the block.  When it was dry, I flicked some white acrylic paint onto the background then heat set the whole paper.  I stamped the Happy Father's Day stamp using VersaFine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder.  I always use a stamp platform with watercolor paper due to the texture of it making it hard to get a complete stamped image the first time.  I added white gel pen accents to the word "father's" and a few silver Pearl Pen dots to finish it off.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
