Birthday Mini Slimline SheetLoad of Cards

This month Alicia from Call Me Crafty Al shared a mini slimline SheetLoad of cards.  I have never made this style of card before, so I thought I'd give it a whirl and I think the cards turned out great!  I followed one of her DT's example and rotated the sketch.  Thanks Karen Aicken for that inspiration!
The papers I used were from 2 different paper pads, DCWV Treasures and The Paper Studio Against the Grain.  The papers were not full sheets, so I ended up making 7 instead of the 10 cards that the instructions yield.
Other products used on these cards include:  Raisin Boat Talking in Circles stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, clear embossing powder, CC stitched circle die, Bearly Art precision glue, and black Pearl Pen.  I did add more black cardstock layers to this card, so here is a list of the sizes in case you would like to make similar cards:  6 1/8" x 3 1/8" (background), 3 5/8" x 1 3/8" (banner), and 3 1/4" x 1 5/8" (horizontal strip).
While these turned out well, I felt like making cards this size wasted cardstock for the bases.  I think I primarily stick with A2 or regular slimline cards so I don't have as many white cardstock scraps left over.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Alice In Wonderland Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Today I am posting on the Trendy Twine blog with a "just because" card.  So many times I only make cards for specific occasions, but this time I made one because I loved the whimsical papers.
If you have been on my blog the last couple of days, you know that Annie's Paper Boutique just released the Greetings stamp set and it is a must have!  Check out the beautiful embossing I achieved with VersaMark ink and white embossing powder on the sentiment from that set.  If you missed the graduation and sympathy cards I posted with the Greetings stamp set earlier, just see my previous 2 blog posts!
Of course, the most fun part of the card was the Echo Park Alice In Wonderland papers!  I also used several dies including diagonal stitched fishtails, fancy label frames, scalloped stitched rectangle, and a tag die.  I glued Twisted Gumball Trendy Twine around the Alice die cut focal point with Bearly Art precision glue and finished it off with a twine bow.  A few Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems were the perfect accent for a little sparkle.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Annie's Paper Boutique~Release Day #2

Hello all!  Thanks for joining me with my post for the Trendy Twine blog.  Yesterday we had the release of the Annie's Paper Boutique Greetings stamp set.  This set was created with crafters and cardmakers in mind; it's a wonderful collection of sentiments for different occasions.  I'm sure you will find it on your craft room table most of the time because it is so versatile!
Yesterday, I shared a bright and colorful graduation card with all of you.  Today I am taking this stamp set in a very different direction, a trio of sympathy cards.  The sentiment is from the APB Greetings stamp set, of course!  Look at the generous size of the stamp plus that beautiful script!  Love it!
The blue layer is a GMD Eyelet Elegance die cut topped with a panel of patterned paper from The Paper Studio's Pretty Petals pad.  I really loved the subdued look of the paper with the dark background.  To add a border around that layer, I used Bearly Art precision glue and Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine, finishing it off with a twine bow in the bottom right corner.
The sentiment from the Greetings stamp set was stamped in black and popped up with foam tape on the card.  I added a cardstock "shadow" in blue under the sentiment and a fussy cut flower from the patterned paper to the left of the sentiment.  Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems glued around the outside of the card were the final touch on these cards.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Annie's Paper Boutique - Greetings Stamp Release

We are so excited about the BRAND NEW Annie's Paper Boutique Greetings stamp set because it's been a little while since we've had a stamp release. This set was created with crafters and cardmakers in mind; it's a wonderful collection of sentiments for different occasions.  Make sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog for more inspiration with this stamp set!
We hope you enjoy our Greetings stamp set as much as we do.  Here is what I created with it:
This graduation card features several of the stamps from the Greetings set.  The exclamation point is seperate from all the sentiments so it can be used with any of them...or none if the occasion doesn't warrant it.  I stamped all the sentiments with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto die cut fishtail banners that I randomly glued to the background.  I placed a die cut graduation hat onto the larger white banner and finished the card off with a band and bow of Black Licorice Trendy Twine.  Don't you think that background with the sentiments is a fun technique?

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Tag

Good morning!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a bright tag, sure to put a little "happy" in someone's day!
I started with a Pink Large Tag-It, added an aqua piece of paper with the word "happy" die cut out of it and glued it to the bottom of the tag.  I also added a thin piece of kraft paper and washi tape to the tag before adding a section of Twisted Gumball Trendy Twine with a bow.  I added iridescent Stickles to the word and placed Pink Diamond Sparkling Gems around it.  At the top of the tag, I added a Aqua Midnight Trendy Page Dot and Twisted Gumball Trendy Twine through the hole in the tag.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Easter!

Hello all and Happy Easter!  Today the Trendy Twine design team has Easter projects for you on the Trendy Twine blog.  Be sure to stop by to see all the cuteness!
To create my bunny box, I started with a 2"x2" Kraft Window Box and simply hand cut the ears and nose out of cardstock and glued them to the box with Bearly Art glue.  For the whiskers, I starched Totally White Trendy Twine, waited for it to dry, and cut it into 1" pieces to glue to the box.
On the top flap of the box, I added a triple bow of Cotton Candy Trendy Twine and a small sentiment banner.  I embellished it with a single Raspberry Cupcake sequin.  I decided the box needed one more thing...a fluffy bunny tail!  So I glued a white pom pom to the back side of the box, then filled it with Starburst jelly beans...my favorite!
