Nurse Heartfelt Thanks Card

Hello all!  I am back to share one of the nurse themed cards I just created.  There will be several more in the future!  I am looking forward to sending some of these out to nurses in the family to know how appreciated and loved they are.  This pandemic isn't for the faint of heart in the medical profession, my husband and I know that first hand!
The stamps I used are all from My Favorite Things and include: Abstract Roses Background, Call the Shots, and Super Hero in Scrubs.  The background was inked with Scrapbook.com Candy Shop Pink ink.  The nurse from Call the Shots was stamped with Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink, colored with Artify alcohol markers, and cut with my Scan N Cut before adhering it to the focal rectangle with Bearly Art Precision Glue.  The sentiment from Super Hero in Scrubs was stamped in VersaFine and heat embossed with a glitter black powder.  An enamel dot and a small red heart were the only embellishments I added to this card.
I am entering this card into the following MFT challenges:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Valentine's Milk Carton

Good morning! I'm on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fun treat packaging idea for Valentine's Day.  It is a skinny milk carton box that holds a mini M&M container.  Fun, right?!  It features Pink Midnight Trendy Twine.
I started by creating my own patterned paper with pink cardstock and using the entire APB You & Me stamp set.  I used my stamp platform so once the stamps were arranged, I simply shifted my paper over to reink and stamp again.  Easy peasy!  I love how the stamped images continue from one panel to the next.  I followed a tutorial from The Paper Pixie to assemble the carton.  It fit the 1.08 oz. tubes perfectly!  Before gluing the pink paper onto the carton, I adhered many Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems everywhere.  Pink and sparkles...yes, please!
I wrapped Pink Midnight Trendy Twine around the lower part of the box three times, and added a Petite Kraft Metal Rim Tag that had been stamped with the "To:'' from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set.  To close the top of the carton, I simply added a sweet Mini Wooden Clothespin that I had wrapped with a double bow of Pink Midnight Trendy Twine.  Valentine's Day treat complete!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
APB You & Me stamp set (Only $3.95 on sale!)
APB Merry & Bright stamp set (Only $7.50 on sale!)

P.S. Head over to the Annie's Paper Boutique store and check out the stamp sets.  They are ALL on sale, ranging from $0.75 to $13.50.  I know you'll find some that you'll love!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

You Are Amazing Card

Hello all!  I recently was gifted a $100 certificate to My Favorite Things, which was amazingly generous of them!  I was able to purchase several of their wonderful products and they arrived today.  I couldn't wait to get creating, so I decided to jump into their challenges (Sketch 576 and Color Challenge 181) with both feet using some of the new products.  Here is what I created.

The stamp set I used was MFT All About You and the die cut is by the same name.  I die cut the "you" first, then stamped it so make sure it was centered well.  The "are amazing" was embossed with clear embossing powder.  The background was created by ink blending Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple Distress Oxides, then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder on those areas, making a fun shiny texture.  I splattered with black acrylic paint, then die cut with a GMD stitched rectangle die.  The gray was cut with a GMD Eyelet Elegance die.  To embellish, I added a few black pearl pen dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Sending Hugs Card

Hello all!  Today I am back with a bonus post for Trendy Twine!  I have my regularly scheduled projects, but I decided to post this one as well for just a bit more inspiration for Valentine's Day...or just because.
You know you love Trendy Twine when your brain automatically thinks about twists that would match patterned paper you are using!  That is what spurred this creation.  Patterned papers are from The Paper Studio Boho Vibes paper pad, which matched Strawberry Cupcake and Tickled With Teal Trendy Twines perfectly.  The stamps I used were from Amazon and were stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  The large sentiment was heat embossed with clear powder.  I die cut around that with a CC stitched oval die and matted that with a GMD Crochet Lace Oval die cut.  A trio of matte enamel dots finished off the card.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

6"x6" One Sheet Wonder Cards

Good morning!  I recently decided to try out a One Sheet Wonder diagram of 6- 6"x6" papers to yield 8 cards from Kathryn B.'s blog.  I used her Template #2 with papers from Echo Park's Summer Dreams 6x6" pad for this set of bright summery cards.

This was what I created for Cards 1A, 1B, and 1C.  Stamps were from Amazon, stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black for "happy", and VersaMark with white embossing powder for "birthday".  I placed the paper with "happy" on my Brother Scan N Cut mat, which cut around it, then I shadowed it to create the vellum underlay beneath the word.  The black sentiment strip was popped up and the finishing touch was a few sequins.

Cards 4A and 4B also have a birthday theme to them.  The stamp is retired from My Craft Spot (Chalkboard Sentiments) and was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear powder.  I also used a white gel pen to fill in the open places within the letters making the stamp pop a little more.  A trio of enamel dots finished off these cards.

This duo is cards 2A and 2B.  The image stamp is Pink and Main Sunflowers stamp set.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties So Sweet Of You set.  It was all stamped with Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink and colored with Artify alcohol markers.
The stamped image was die cut with a GMD Up & Down In & Out square die.  The focal point was popped up with foam tape and two yellow enamel dots were placed in the top left corner.
The final card was Card 3 on the template.  This one was quite simple.  The sentiment was from Pink and Main Sunflowers set and was stamped in black.  The sunglasses were cut with my Silhouette Cameo and popped up.  Enamel dots on the sunglasses and flamingo paper added a bit of visual interest.
Other adhesives used on all cards include Bearly Art precision tip glue and ATG.
What do you think?  I really loved the layout of these cards!  They definitely don't look like you were trying to scrimp on patterned paper, which is what some OSW templates end up looking like.  If you like them, head to Kathryn B.'s blog and try them for yourself!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~SheetLoad of Valentine's Day Cards

Hello and welcome to my first post of 2022!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a SheetLoad of fun Valentine's Day cards.  I send these out every year, so I wanted to get a head start on them and this month's spotlight of Pink Licorice Trendy Twine was perfect for that project!
I started with the January SheetLoad sketch from Call Me Crafty Al and made it my own!  Patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Best Day Ever paper pad.  The pink cardstock layer was embossed with a Sizzix Phrases-I Love You folder.  I did have to lightly spritz the pink with water before embossing to make it so the paper didn't carck much with embossing.
Now let's talk about the focal point on the cards.  There is a LOT going on there!  I started with a White Large Tag-It and stamped a sentiment from the APB You've Got Mail stamp set in SB.com Candy Shop Pink ink.  You want to know all about that heart, right?!  I cut 2 strands of Pink Licorice Trendy Twine and one strand of Totally Pink Trendy Twine at 8.5" long, saturated them with fabric starch and shaped them into the heart.  I let them dry fully on my glass craft mat and then trimmed the ends as needed and glued them to the Tag-Its with Bearly Art precision glue.  At the top of the tags are Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dots and a bow of either Pink Licorice Trendy Twine or Totally Pink Trendy Twine.  The finishing touches were Raspberry Cupcake sequins.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
You can also purchase a Pink Licorice Sampler if you like smaller amounts of Trendy Twine!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
