Popcorn Ball Candy Corn Treats

We all like making and giving Halloween treats, so I created popcorn balls that look like candy corn for the Trendy Twine Happy Halloweenie Facebook hop that was this past Saturday.  To hold them, I used these cone treat bags.  Then I added plain white popcorn, then orange, then finally yellow.  I made the marshmallow popcorn ball recipe...YUMMY!
To decorate the treat bag, I layered scalloped circles of patterned paper and regular circles that had a sentiment stamped on them.  I punched a hole in the top of that and tied it to the top of the treat bag with orange limeade trendy twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Back to School Photo Prop

Today I wanted to share with you the photo prop I created for my kids' back to school pictures.  I used the Chalkboard from SVG Attic's Back 2 School.  It is actually a card, and a very pretty one at that.  But I knew it would be perfect for what I had in mind!
Instead of using the included sentiment for the chalkboard, I used a free printable from Jones Creek Creations and just sized it to fit the inside of the chalkboard.  I embossed the outside of the chalkboard with a woodgrain embossing folder and distressed it with brown chalk ink.  To embellish, I used some Cranberry Trendy Twine along the bottom and school themed buttons.
The best part is that I adhered the printable with dotto repositionable adhesive, so I could use the same prop for my Pre-Schooler too!
Here is a close up of the Cranberry Trendy Twine I used.

Book Worm Bookmark

Today I wanted to share a very quick bookmark that I created for my son using the Back to School files from SVG Attic.
I inked around the die cuts with tan and brown chalk ink, stamped a face on the worm from Peachy Keen stamps then added doodle dots.  I layered the die cuts on white and then black cardstock.  The tassel was made with Christmas and Black Twine.
The finishing touch was the apple paper clip on the top!

I have to share with you, that SVG Attic is having a 20% OFF SALE right now!  So if you want to get the file I used on bookmark or if you have some sets on your wishlist, now is the time to get them :)

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Crayon Card

I created a card that used the crayon from SVG Attic's Back To School set.  I welded 4 of the crayons together for the card base.
I popped the yellow and green crayons up for extra dimension, added four colors of Trendy Twine, buttons and a sentiment and now it is the perfect A2 sized card for a teacher!  I also used brown chalk ink around each crayon for added definition.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Vinyled School Boxes

School starts this week and with it is all of the school supplies that kids need.  Of course being a crafty mom, how could I NOT do something to the blank slate of my boys' school boxes?  LOL!  I asked my boys what they wanted and they were very descriptive in what elements they wanted where and I was happy to be able to make it just the way they wanted.  (These boxes were from Walmart.)
Christian wanted a Nebraska Huskers football theme :)  I used Oracal 651 vinyl in red, black, white and brown.  If you are wondering, I buy my vinyl from H&H Sign Supply.  I created the Husker logo in SCAL2 and the football was a built in design in that program.
Levi wanted a Disney Cars theme and I used white, black, yellow, and red Oracal 651 vinyl plus some random chrome vinyl that I had on hand.  I created the 95 logo in SCAL2 but the wheel is from SVG Attic's Work Zone set.  Isn't it just perfect for this box?
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Backpack with Trendy Twine

This is my first "official" post of being a member of Trendy Twine's Little Sister team!  It is so exciting!  I love their twine and am very honored to be chosen to feature it on my projects.

School is starting very soon and this backpack is perfect for this time of the year.  I created it using files from SVG Cuts' Back to the Books set.  The cardstock I used for the main part of the backpack is from Oriental Trading and I highly recommend it!  It is an awesome price and cuts perfect with my Cameo!
The front is embellished with star shaped buttons, fun School Paper and of course, Trendy Twine in Cranberry.  I also inked the edges of the backpack with brown chalk ink for extra dimension.
This backpack can hold a lot of school supplies and yummy treats :)
Here is a closeup of the Cranberry Trendy Twine I used in my project.

Smart Cookie Card

I have some cute vintage looking school themed paper that I have been looking forward to using!  It is called Class of '87 by Kaisercraft.  I also have a sheet of chipboard die cuts that coordinate, so guess what I made :)
I inked around the base layer of DP with red chalk ink.   I fussy cut around the pennants, added black behind them and wrapped some Cranberry trendy twine around it.  I used one layer of thin foam tape behind those for added dimension.  The notebook paper is also on one thickness of foam tape.  The Smart Cookie ribbon is from the chipboard die cuts.  Finally I added three of my homemade enamel dots to the top right corner.
Since the inside was green, I had to add a panel to write on, so I opted for more of the notebook printed paper and added a sentiment.  The apple in the bottom corner is one of the chipboard elements.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Back to School Stationery Set

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a back to school stationery set that I made using products that I recently received from Oriental Trading Company.  Did you know that they had scrapbooking supplies?  And some very nice ones at that!

This was created with paper and embellishements from OTC's School Paper Kit.  That kit is so fun!  So many fun die cuts, papers and embellishments to choose from!  The files I used to create the set are from SVG Cuts' Back to the Books set.
I added some super fun Chevron Washi Tapebuttons, black twine and Christmas twine.
On the pencil I added a twine bow with a tag that was part of the die cuts included in the paper kit and added a stamp that I had on hand.  I colored the stamped image with Prismacolor pencils.  The picture didn't pick up the coloring as well as I had hoped.  They really colored very smooth!
Inside the stationery set is a set of 6 notecards I created.  For the ones with the solid color bases I used Full Color Spectrum Cardstock and the ones with the printed bases are more paper from the School Paper Kit along with all of the die cuts and sentiments.
I used Black cardstock for the matting layer.  I also made 6 envelopes to fit the notecards using White Cardstock and once again, files from SVG Cuts' Back to the Books set.  I used Oriental Trading's Permanent Adhesive Tape Runners and I was very happy with how sticky it was!
All of the products that I used from Oriental Trading Company to make this project were wonderful!  I would recommend any and all of them to you.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The review of these products is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the products listed above. I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading Co. and I provided my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.
