Just For You Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a card that uses new Decorative Triangles and Long Skinny Word Gina Marie Designs dies from Scrapbook Outlet.
This is a 5x7 card and I used DCWV's Meet Me In Paris stack on it.  Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink was used around the card panels.
To embellish, I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in white and bubblegum pink and white crinkled seam binding which I attached with Glue Dots stitch glues squares.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Summer Kids Activities

Hello everyone!  Today I am doing a post on toys/activities that are GREAT to fill the summer"spare time" that your kids might have!  All the products are available at Oriental Trading.

I think it is very important for my boys to learn how to help around the house and this is a great way for them to do so!  As you can see, they all took turns with these items.

The set includes a hand duster, a broom, hand broom with dustpan, mop (which is not to be used with water) and the stand that holds it all. They are great quality toys and they help keep the house clean, which is awesome!
The next day, I was babysitting two nieces and we got out the Farm Party Bean Bag Toss.  It was fun for all the kids to take turns trying to get the bean bag bales into the holes of the board!
From ages 2 to 10, it was a great activity.

Next up, we played with the Super Fun Bubble Wand Assortment and Bubble Bottles 32 oz. and all 5 kids spent a lot of time running around on the lawn blowing bubbles!
Who doesn't love bubbles on a warm day?!
And finally, they took the time to learn how to use the emoji fidget spinner.  Let me tell you, it was the hilight of the afternoon!  They all took turns with it.  Click HERE to go to a post that I made exclusively about this fidget spinner.
So, if you are wondering how you are going to keep your kids or grandkids having a great summer, stop by Oriental Trading and see all they have to offer.  You will be glad you did!

Flag Ribbon Card

Good Morning!  July 4th is fast approaching, so today I have a patriotic card to share.
I started with cutting several of the GMD Decorative Ribbon Border Die.  I glued them on white cardstock, added the star paper in the top left corner to resemble a flag and cut it out with a GMD stitched rectangle die.  I scored lines in the kraft card base with my Martha Stewart scoring board for extra visual interest.
I decided the card needed something extra, so I stamped and embossed a Welcome Home sentiment on kraft paper and die cut it with GMD Big & Little Pierced Chain Heart die.  I embellished it with Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine and GMD Patriotic Sparkle enamel dots.
The red and blue patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation stack.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Patriotic Celebrate Card

Hello crafty friends!  I am sharing a simple patriotic card on the Trendy Twine blog today.
I started with embossing the white background layer with a stars with swirls embossing folder and die cutting it out with a stitched rectangle die. I made a banner using Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine and patriotic washi tapes.
I die cut the celebrate sentiment three times to match the layers of cardstock I used as the mat on the card front.  The finishing touch was APB Peppermint Icicle sequins that I adhered with Glue Dots stitch glue squares.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Victorine Originals Challenge #5 ~ Summer Vacation

Happy Friday and welcome to a new challenge at the Victorine Originals blog!  It has a theme of Summer Vacation.  This is the card that I created for inspiration.
I started with the Victorine Originals Mt. Rushmore stamp and stamped it using Versafine Onyx Black ink and my stamp positioning tool.  I then cut layers of patterned paper out of DCWV's Cartographer stack using GMD stitched rectangle dies.
I added some burlap ribbons, punched arrows and a fussy cut sentiment from the Cartographer stack and two gold brads for embellishments.  P.S.  See that South Dakota silhouette in the large arrow?  Yup, I actually thought far enough ahead to plan that detail LOL!
So, now on to the details on how to play along with the challenge...
Head on over to the Victorine Originals blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s that follow the above theme and/or color scheme. They do not have to use Victorine Originals stamps on them. We can't wait to see what you create!

Mouse Shaker Card

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals blog.  I have this bright shaker card to share with you.
I started by stamping the V.O. Mouse With Umbrella stamp (also part of the Mouse Set 1) with Versafine Onyx Black ink on watercolor paper.  I used Crayola Watercolor pencils and an aqua brush to color in the image.  I made it into a shaker card using GMD double pierced circle in and out dies, acetate, foam tape and sequins.
I used a GMD stitched rectangle die for the front panel.  The papers I used are from Doodlebug Design Fun In The Sun 6x6 pad.  The sentiment is from V.O. Floral and Sayings stamp set and I added some GMD Watermelon Colors enamel dots around it.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Emoji Fidget Spinner!

If you have kids, more than likely you will have heard about fidget spinners.  My boys have been asking to get one and I was leery at first, but they really are fun for the kids to play with!
Here is the emoji fidget spinner that we got from Oriental Trading.  It is totally a win-win since it has emojis on it.

My oldest son is 10 and he had the easiest time spinning it.  He really did a great job in a short amount of time playing with it.
My 7 year old and 4 year old have smaller hands and it wasn't quite as easy for them to spin in the air.  They could do it, but it would spin longer for them if they held it on the table.
And just so you know, both my husband and I have played with it too :)  They are fun!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sewing Framed Art

Hello all!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  I really was excited to make this project!  It is a vinyl saying with paper and lace accents in a frame.
The vinyl saying comes from the JGW Just Sew set.  I cut it out in black vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo and layered it on the patterned papers I chose from DCWV's Royal Gypsy stack.
I added navy lace hem facing around the bottom and used the thimble and diamond quilt block files from JGW Parlor Patchwork as well as the scissors file from JGW Just Sew to the left corner.  The finishing touch was a threaded needle that I wove into the lace.  I then placed it all into a 8.5x11" frame.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hello all!  Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!  The Trendy Twine DT has lots of Father's Day inspiration for you on the Trendy Twine blog today.  This is the card I have to share with you.
I started out by stamping the large "Father Calligraphy" stamp and die cutting around it with a GMD stitched rectangle die.
The papers I used on this card are from DCWV's Luxe Lodge stack.  I die cut the front edge of the card with a GMD pine bough border die and wrapped Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine around that edge.  That color of Trendy Twine is one of my absolute favorites!  It is so versatile and perfect for masculine projects.

Hello everyone!  Happy Wednesday :)  Today I am sharing a card that features two dies from Scrapbook Outlet.

Behind the red tag-it I added a small stamped banner using the APB Smile stamp set and Versamark with white embossing powder as well.
I decorated the Kraft Chevron Treat Bag with Gina Marie Designs star die cuts and wrapped Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine around the bottom.
