25th Anniversary Card

Good morning!  I have a silver anniversary card to share today.  When I saw the gorgeous Crafter's Companion Classic Floral Frame die, I knew it would make a stunning card, and just look at it <3
All patterned papers are from the DCWV Silver Leaf stack.  I added a Sizzix adhesive sheet to the back of the paper before I die cut it to make it easier to adhere to my card.  The 25 was created in my SCAL software with the Fantasy font.  I sized it at 1.75" wide then copy/pasted it and shadowed the second set.  It was popped up with foam tape on the card.  I wanted "years" to match the 25, so I added patterned paper into my printer and made it in the Fantasy font, size 36, in gray.  I love the elegant monochromatic look this card has!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Older and Wiser Owl Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses Raisin Boat's Night Owl stamp set.  Isn't it fun?!
I stamped the large owl, tree branch, and sentiment from the Night Owl stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa inks.  I colored the owl with Spectrum Noir Markers (MB1, MB3, GY3) then wrapped Grape Licorice Trendy Twine around the stamped panel.  I popped that up with foam tape.
I'll admit, I had a lot of fun choosing papers to match that stamp set!  I ended up using TPS Stargazer 4.5x6.5 paper pad.  The iridescent foil treatment on the stars really added a lot to the card.  The final embellishment was silver Pearl Pen.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Safari Baby Card

Hello friends!  I am back with another blog post for the Trendy Twine blog.  Our featured twine for the month is Dark Citrus Trendy Twine.  It is a fun twist of navy and yellow that is perfect to brighten these last wintery days!  My project for today is a safari themed baby card.
I chose lots of fun papers from DCWV's Animal Crackers stack to make the card base.  Then I added a Navy Tag-It that I stamped on with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder.  Dark Citrus Trendy Twine accents were perfect to add to the tag, then I popped it up with foam tape onto the card.  The finishing touch was to accent with Peppermint Icicle Sequins.

Pink and Gray Wedding Card

Good morning!  I created this wedding card using a paper pad I got on 75% clearance at Hobby Lobby last year called Love Story by Webster's Pages.  I hadn't heard of that brand before, but the papers were beautiful, so I grabbed it!
The focal point of this card is the Love die and stamp set from Pink and Main.  I also used a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die.  The dark gray cardstock was a softer look vs. black and I was happy with how it turned out!  The finishing touch was a tie of white seam binding.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Thinking Of You Cards

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat stamp set called Talking in Circles.  The Talking in Circles set is on a SUPER sale right now...only $4 for the whole set!  Today I am showing you how easy it is to make cards with.
As most of you know, I am a HUGE fan of patterned papers.  I recently purchased the 6x6" TPS Hamilton Heights paper pad and wanted to play with it.  The Talking in Circles stamp set worked perfectly with it!
I stamped the thinking of you stamp with dark blue ink and then cut around it with my Brother Scan N Cut. I matted that with a scalloped circle die cut and popped that up with foam tape onto the card. The only embellishment I used on these cards was Ice White Pearl Pen. I didn't think they needed anything more!
As you can see, I made two different versions of this card, one with a dark background and one with a light.  Which one do you prefer?  Inspiration for this card sketch was from Kristi Marcotte's blog.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Guest Designer~Die Cuttin' Diva's

Hello all!  Today I have the honor of being Guest Designer over at the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog!  The new weekly challenge has a "Cherry Blossom or Pink" theme.  I created this Cherry Blossom sepia spotlight card.
The card I made features the lovely Raisin Boat Cherry Blossom stamp set.  I stamped the branches in Antique Linen Distress Oxide onto a white cardstock panel using my stamp platform.  With a new piece of white cardstock, I inked up the stamps with Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxides and stamped it again.  After the ink dried, I die cut circles out of the colored stamped panel.
I inked around the outside of those die cut circles with brown ink, then popped them up with foam tape, aligning them exactly with the same area on the tan stamped panel.  I stamped a sentiment from SumMore Fun's Crocus Craving set in brown ink in the bottom right corner.  I matted the stamped panel with a GMD Loopy Rectangle die cut and an A2 sized kraft panel.  The finishing touch was three pink enamel dots by the sentiment.
So, head on over to the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog to participate in the "Cherry Blossom or Pink" themed challenge.  You have one week to play along.  I can't wait to see what you create!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Kirby Card

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing the other birthday card I made in December...this one was for my oldest son!  He is a fan of Kirby.
Once again, this svg is retired from a blog hop that SVG Cutting Files had.  I cut it out of solid colored cardstock and added fun patterned paper from DCWV's Boyhood stack behind it on the card base.  The sentiment stamp is from Pretty Cute Stamps.  The only embellishment I used was adding pearl pink Pearl Pen to Kirby's cheeks.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Iron Man Card

Hello all!  I realized I have gotten very behind posting cards that were not for my design teams, so I am going to work on posting more of those cards this month.  This is one of them!  I made this for my middle son's birthday in December.
The cutting file for this card is retired from a blog hop that SVG Cutting files had.  I used solid colored cardstock for the whole thing, which is abnormal for me!  I popped the yellow up with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Pretty Cute Sentiments and I embellished with Pink and Main's glossy dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Purple and Gold Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses one of my all time FAVORITE stamp sets...Victorine Originals' Floral and Sayings.  You can see several other cards that I have created with that stamp set HERE.
Using my stamp platform, I inked up the flower with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink.  I wanted a little variation, so I re-inked the stamp touching only the edges with Dusty Concord DO and stamped over the flower again.  You can see it in the picture below if you look closely.  Then I stamped the sentiment in black ink, once again using the stamp platform for perfect placement.
I added metallic gold thread around the sentiment and gold Pearl Pen accents.  Other products used include GMD stitched rectangle die, GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die, white, black, and gold cardstock as well as paper from TPS Tattered & Worn paper pad. Adhesive used was ATG.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Life Is Good Bag

Hello friends!  I am back with another blog post for the Trendy Twine blog.  Our featured twine for the month is Dark Citrus Trendy Twine.  It is a fun twist of navy and yellow that is perfect to brighten these last wintery days!  My project for today is a brightly colored treat bag.
I started with a small yellow glassine bag and added patterned paper from DCWV's Fiesta Forever stack.  I wrapped Dark Citrus Trendy Twine around the bag in two different areas.  The tag started as a Large Kraft Metal Rim Tag that I added more patterned papers to.  It is popped up with foam tape on the center of the bag.  I also added Peppermint Icicle Sequins with Glue Dots to embellish.
Once the treats were added, I folded down the top, punched two holes and added Hello Fall Trendy Page Dots and tied it shut with Totally Navy Trendy Twine.

Girl and Boy Baptism Cards

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The cards I am sharing with you use two stamp sets from Raisin Boat; God's Child and Flourishing Thoughts.
I stamped the Baptismal gown from the God's Child set onto a panel of white cardstock with black ink.  I then added a die cut frame around it.  The sentiment is from the Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and was also stamped in black ink.
Here is a close up of the Baptismal gown panel.  I added clear glitter Wink Of Stella on it for extra sparkle!  The background panel was die cut using a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die.  As you can see, all of the papers I used (besides the white cardstock) have a pearlescent finish to them.  They are from The Paper Studio's Sophisticated Sparkle paper pad and they are so beautiful!
I also made a boy themed card just by switching the background paper and washi tape color.  The finishing touch for these cards was a trio of Ice White Pearl Pen dots in the top right corner.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Wagon Full Of Luck Card

Hello everyone!  I had the opportunity to create a project as inspiration for DCWV's March stackaholic challenge.  It has been a few months since I last did that and was happy to do it again!  The theme for their March challenge is "luck".
My card was created with two stacks of DCWV papers, Garden Charm and Adhesive Mat Stack.  The gloss treatment on the Garden Charm papers really added a lot of visual interest!  The svg files I used to create this card are Wagon Full Of Luck and a bee (sized at .75" tall) from the Bee Trio A6 Card, both are SnapDragon Snippets designs.
I embellished with Bumblebee Trendy Twine, enamel dots and red brads.  Adhesives used include Tacky Glue, ATG, and foam tape.  The final touch was adding a flight trail behind the bee with a black gel pen.  This card is for my oldest son to wish him luck as he participates in the Midwest Spelling Bee tomorrow!
So...to enter this month's DCWV "luck" challenge, create a project with that theme using DCWV papers. Photos should be emailed to dcwvsocial@americancrafts.com by 11:59pm, March 18th, with the names of the stack/s you used. You can create a card for someone else, a scrapbook page showing your blessings or something in-between. I can't wait to see what you all create!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
