Trendy Bakers Twine~He Is Risen Card

Hello all! It is time for another post for the Trendy Twine blog! We have been getting some sunny days lately, and this card captures some of that cheerfulness. The featured Trendy Twine of the month on this card is Bubblegum Taffy.
To begin with, I adhered patterned papers from Echo Park's Have Faith collection onto a kraft cardstock mat. I then used a small hole punch to add 2 holes in each corner to weave Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine through. I thought it created a fun border and great visual interest. For the focal point, I used an oval die with white cardstock and a scalloped oval die with vellum to create the background. I then die cut the Cottage Cutz He Is Risen die cross and words with navy blue cardstock and glued them to the vellum with Bearly Art glue. The top layer of the cross was cut from white glitter cardstock and also glued ontp the cross base. I used foam tape to pop up the oval onto the card front. For extra shimmer, I ran around the outer edge of the scalloped circle with Clear Glitter Wink of Stella, then added Cotton Candy Sequins in the four corners of the card with Glue Dots glue squares

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a full spool, you can find Bubblegum Taffy in our Aqua Sampler  PLUS Aqua Licorice, Aqua Midnight, and Twisted Gumball. Each twist is ten yards in length and comes on a wooden clothespin.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Pinochle Birthday Card

Hello all! This was a custom 5x7 card that I created last year for a 90th birthday. It was for someone who loves Pinochle.
I didn't get anywhere to purchase a deck of Pinochle cards, so I scanned and printed cards that I had at home to create those for the front. Patterned paper is from DCWV's Marquee stack. The gorgeous flower was die cut using Sizzix Thinlits Icelandic Poppy die. I printed the 90 onto light blue paper, then die cut around it with a CC stitched circle die, then matted it with a CC scalloped stithed circle die. It was popped up with foam tape. I decided I still wanted a sentiment on the front, so I die cut a small tag and stamped a sentiment in black on it, finishing the tag off with a bow of Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine. For a little extra sparkle, I finished the card off with a trio of silver gems. Other adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue, and ATG.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

I just love that shine! The layers of the focal point were die cut with Cottage Cutz Stitched Rounded Rectangle dies. It was popped up with foam tape onto the card.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Masculine With Thanks Card

Hello all, I am back with another post for the Trendy Twine blog! This month we are spotlighting Bumblebee Trendy Twine, a bright, cheerful twist of black and yellow. It is such a versatile color! Today, I am sharing a masculine card with it.

The patterned papers are from DCWV's Honey Dear stack. I thought they were great for a guy card and the colors were a perfect match with Bumblebee Trendy Twine! The background paper was cut to 4"x5.25" and the yellow plaid strip was cut to 2''x4.75". I then matted the narrow strip with black cardstock cut to 2.25"x5" and cut one end at 1.25" to create both sides of the strip. The cut ends border the outer edges of the card. I used my Crop-A-Dile and 1/18" eyelets and 20" of Bumblebee Trendy Twine to create the lacing area. I did not adhere the yellow strip until after it was loosely laced, then once both sides were glued in place, I tightened the laces and tied a bow.

The focal point was created with a Kraft Bracket Card matted with a black die cut from CC stitched rounded rectangle dies. The toolbench stamp is retired from a SumMore Fun set called Handy Man and was stamped with SB.com Rainy Day ink. The sentiment was from the APB Greetings stamp set (on SALE for only $9!) and was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The Kraft Bracket Card was popped up with foam tape for a little extra dimension.

If you are looking for more inspiration on what you can create with Bumblebee Trendy Twine, you can see some of my past projects using it HERE.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Birthday Fishes Card

Hello all! Today I am sharing a fun birthday card I sent to my little nephew. He loves fish! The Paper Smooches Birthday Buddies stamp set was perfect for this card.
The printed card base is from The Paper Studio. I die cut 4 Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies from solid cardstock, glueing the colored ones with Bearly Art precision glue. Once the white circle was stamped and colored with Artify alcohol markers, I popped it up with foam tape to the card front. I used vintage rick rack to add visual interest and texture. The finishing touch was a few Pearl Lane small gems above the fish to look like bubbles!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

2024 Seminarian Easter Cards

Hello all! Today I am sharing a large collection of Easter cards that I recently created. Several were sent off to seminarians from our diocese, and the rest will be given to family members. There are a total of 30!
The first thing I decided on was the patterned paper backgrounds. Most of the papers are from Echo Park's Homegrown collection, but I also used scraps from DCWV's Lilac Love stack to create 6 cards.
I used sections of DCWV's Paper Lace borders stack at the bottom of each background, then added two rows of matching Trendy Twine right above the lace. Those colors include Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine, Grape Fizz Trendy Twine, and Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine.
The front panel of the card was created with a background die cut from Cottage Cutz stitched rounded rectangle dies, lilies stamped from the Raisin Boat In Loving Memory set with Scrapbook.com Leather ink, and colored with Artify alcohol markers. The cross was a free SVG that was cut with my Silhouette Cameo. The large lily was die cut with my Brother Scan N Cut. The focal point was popped up with foam tape to the background of the card. Other adhesives used include ATG and Bearly Art glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Spring Celebrate Cards

Hello all! It is officially SPRING and I am so excited to share my latest creations with that theme on the Trendy Twine blog. They feature the beautiful Cotton Candy Trendy Twine.
I started by choosing springtime patterned paper, which is from Jillibean Soup's Coconut Lime 6x6 paper pad. I utilized the November 2023 SheetLoad of Cards sketch as a way to showcase several visually interesting techniques/supplies.
I really loved the diagonal strips of paper. It was something different than I usually do! The Cotton Candy Trendy Twine was a perfect accent to add between those paper strips. It adds great texture to the card! The vellum circle was die cut with a Cottage Cutz stitched scallop circle die and was adhered to the card front with foam tape. I die cut the GMD spring flower arrangement die out of white to allow the patterned papers and little punched out butterflies to shine!
The sentiment is from the Greetings stamp set and was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The banner, tiny butterflies, and flower were all adhered with Bearly Art precision glue. Don't the bright and beautiful colors on these cards make you smile? These will be great for birthday cards or just to brighten someone's day.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Cotton Candy Trendy Twine

Greetings stamp set (currently on sale for $8)

You can also find Cotton Candy along with Posy and Sky in the Cotton Candy Sampler. Each color is ten yards in length, perfect for building a variety of Trendy Twine colors!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Final UFO (UFO Post #12)

Hello all! This is the very last of the STACK of unfinished projects I had on my craft table. The tag, black die cut circle, and background paper were random pieces I wanted to tie together to use up!
The patterned papers were random ones I had received in a paper swap years ago, as was the tag. I die cut the flower and sentiment strip, adding a sentiment from Raisin Boat's No Loss For Words stamp set. Two button brads and a double bow of Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine were the final embellishments. And just like that, I have a much cleaner creating space! It took me a while to work through all of the random pieces, but in all, I was able to create 132 cards in all with those elements! If you are interested in seeing the other cards I created in this series, you can find them HERE.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Dollar Tree Sticker Valentine's Day Cards

I created this group of Valentine's Day cards with the specific purpose to use baeutiful heart stickers that I found at Dollar Tree. I used up the whole sheet which was my goal!
The patterned paper was from The Paper Studio's U+Me paper pad. The ovals were die cut using Cottage Cutz nested stitched scallop oval and stitched oval dies. The stamped sentiment was from Oak Tree Stamps Believe set and the ink used was VersaFine Clair Nocturne
The only embellishment used was white seam binding ribbon. The stickers were layered and had foam tape between the layers. I removed the back layer of foam tape so it would go through the mail a little easier. I used a Glue Dot to stick the heart onto the oval. Other adhesives used include ATGBearly Art precision glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~I {heart} U Card

Hello all! Valentine's Day is next month, so I am gearing up for that holiday. Today's project for the Trendy Twine blog is a card that features Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine, a unique twist of red and pink.
The patterned papers I used are from BoBunny's Love Letters 6x6 paper pad. It has an antique feel to it with creams instead of white. The sentiments are from APB You & Me stamp set. The inks I used were VersaFine Onyx Black and VersaFine Clair Tulip Red. The dies that I used were Elizabeth Craft Designs diagonal stitched fishtails die, and Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies. The fun part of this card was using Bearly Art precision glue and Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine to create the X and O on the banner and the circle and bow around the sentiment. The last addition to the card was a trio of Peppermint Stick Sequins for a bit of bling.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

The Cherry Cupcake Sampler includes Posy, Cherry Cupcake, and Berry Trendy Twine. Perfect for Valentine's Day crafting!

SheetLoad of "Denim" Sympathy Cards

Hello everyone! I was completely out of sympathy cards, so I knew I had to get busy making more! My favorite go-to when making multiple cards are SheetLoads, and I was inspired by the August 2020 SheetLoad to create these cards.
Patterned papers are from Authentique's Original 6x6" paper pad. I really loved those prints! The stamped sentiment is from my all time favorite sympathy stamp set, a retired My Craft Spot set called With Deepest Sympathy. It was stamped with Scrapbook.com Leather ink. If you have a favorite sympathy sentiment stamp set, please let me know! I would love to check it out!
The flower die is the GMD spring flower arrangements die. I inked a bit of Leather ink in the center and used a small white circle punch for the center. Adhesives used on these cards include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG.
I decided this card could have a little more masculine feel to it based on the paper designs, so instead of the flower, I used Cottage Cutz Feathers dies for the focal point. Now I have a good start on replenishing my sympathy cards!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Lightning Bugs Card

Hello all!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with this fun lightning bug card...or do you call them fireflies?  One way or the other, this card sure made me smile while I was creating it!
The image stamps were from Pink & Main's Way to Glow stamp set and were cut around using a Brother Scan N Cut.  The sentiment stamp is from Annie Paper Boutique's Greetings stamp set, which is a must have set (and currently on a fantastic sale!).  All were stamped with black ink and I then colored the images with Artify alcohol markers.  I made this card for my niece who loves purple, so I had to find papers to match the colored bugs!  Instead of matting the strip of plaid paper, I added lines of Totally Kraft Trendy Twine and Totally Lemon Trendy Twine next to it for definition.  The focal point was die cut using Cottage Cutz stitched circle and scalloped circle dies.  I added more Totally Kraft Trendy Twine around the handle of the net to look like a grip.  The final embellishments were a trio of Grape Fizz Sequins and a bit of Wink of Stella glitter on the wings and lights of the bugs.  Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue, ATG, and foam tape.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
Greetings stamp set (currently on a huge SALE!)

Blue and Lime Nurse Card

Hello all!  I needed some crafting therapy time, so I decided to play along with the current My Favorite Things Challenges: Color #184 and Sketch #582.  This card was the result!
Products used include: MFT Call The Shots, MFT Superhero In Scrubs, Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink, VeraMark ink, white embossing powder, Artify Markers, Echo Park Paradise Beach 6x6 paper, Cottage Cutz stitched rounded rectangle die, corner chomper, GMD Sophisticated enamel dots, ATG, Bearly Art glue, and foam tape.
P.S. I just realized this is the very first project I have posted to my blog all year so far that didn't have pink in it!  I love pink, but maybe I should be broadening my color palette a bit LOL!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
