Graduation Cards

I am trying to work ahead a bit for events I know I will need cards for this year. Graduation cards were definitely on my to do list! When I saw the Echo Park Graduation papers, I knew I needed to grab them. I used both the 12x12 collection and 6x6 paper pad for these cards in conjunction with the OWH sketch #1 (first page of the linked pdf).
In all, I created 8 cards, 2 of each design.
The 3x3 journaling cards in the 6x6" paper pad made these cards a snap!
The only embellishment was Nail Art striping tape (essentially thin metallic washi tape) that created a border between the two background patterned papers.
Adhesives used include ATGfoam tape, and Bearly Art precision glue. On this last card, I also added a few gold star sequins from the Delightful Sequins mix to bring gold to the focal point.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Easter Blessings Layout

Hello all! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with something a little different than I usually create...a 12x12 scrapbook page! My now 5 year old daughter reminded me that I still don't have her first year album completed, so I took the opportunity to work on that a bit with this month's Trendy Twine twist, Watermelon Taffy.
Patterned papers are from Echo Park's Celebrate Easter paper pad. For captions, I used a Pink Bracket Card, then added Christmas Mint Trendy Page Dots in the curve of the side brackets, used a hole punch to punch the paper out of the center of the dots and wrapped and tied Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine in both areas. Documenting the Everyday stamp set was perfect for stamping sentiments on the page! The inks I used were VersaFine Onyx Black and VersaFine Clair Charming Pink.
The title was created in Sure Cuts a Lot, cut out on my Silhouette Cameo and popped up with foam tape. I wrapped Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine around the corner of the photo and embellished throughout the page with Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems that I glued on with Bearly Art Precision glue. One other embellishment I used was a metallic orange washi tape.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Annie's Paper Boutique also has an awesome little Watermelon Taffy Sampler. Each color is ten yards in length and is wound on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage. Colors in the set are Limeade, Watermelon Taffy, and Tickled Pink.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Quick Girl Birthday Cards

Hello all! I recently purchased some Echo Park papers that had been on sale and I had been really wanting to create with them! One was the Magical Birthday Girl 12x12 paper pad, which is what I used for today's post.
I will admit, the paper pad came with more focal point papers than overall patterns than what I had anticipated, so I had to pair them with solid cardstock backgrounds. In all, the 3x4" journaling cards made these cards a quick make! No stamping or coloring needed. I used ATG for all the paper layers and mini Glue Dots to adhere sequins to embellish.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Eagle Birthday Cards

Hello all! I am trying to get more masculine cards created for my stash. I always seem to be behind on those kind of cards! Today I am sharing monochromatic eagle cards that were inspired by OWH sketch #41. (Sketch 41 is on page 11 of the linked pdf)
Patterned papers used include The Paper Studio's Against the Grain 12x12" and Echo Park's Recollections Fall 6x6" paper pads. The eagle and cedar tree stamps were from Victorine Originals and the sentiment is from Raisin Boat's Nailed It! stamp set. Inks were Dark Chocolate and Camel from Scrapbook.com. Adhesives include ATG and Scotch foam tape. A trio of gold brads were the only embellishment. A kraft card base was the perfect background for the entire card!

Dollar Tree Sticker SheetLoad of Cards

Hello all! I am back with more cards I created using Dollar Tree stickers. Normally, I never use stickers on my crafting projects, but when I ran across some of the recent stickers in Dollar Tree that look like alcohol inks on acetate, I definitely wanted to try them out. I am so glad I did! I used the November 2021 SheetLoad of Cards template and Recollections Plaids 6x6" paper pad for all of them.
I started by making a trio of birthday cards with bold, beautiful flower stickers. Then, I moved on to cactus cards with a thinking of you theme.
I really love how the patterned papers matched the colors of the cacti so well!
The last set of cards, were once again birthday cards, with different papers than the first ones. I used some of the smaller flower stickers left on the sticker sheet and I like how these turned out as well! The sentiments were all from Raisin Boat's No Loss For Words stamp set and I used VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink
Adhesives used were ATG and Bearly Art precision glue. The stickers already had foam tape on them. If there was more than one layer of foam tape on the sticker, I peeled the back layer off to facilitate easier mailing and used a Glue Dot to adhere it to the card. To embellish, I used Park Lane gems.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Game Time Birthday Card

Hello all! Today I am sharing another project from my photo archives. Time just keeps going faster than I can share my projects it seems LOL! This time it is a birthday card with a gaming theme.
Patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Boy paper pad. I have used that so many times and absolutely LOVE it! The 11 was cut with my Silhouette Cameo and popped up with foam tape. The stamped sentiment was from an old Whimsy Stamps set. I wrapped Bumblebee Trendy Twine where the two patterned papers joined to add more visual interest and texture before adhering everything onto the yellow card base.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Sweeter Than Jelly Beans

Hello all! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a fairly simple Easter card. I really loved the jelly bean saying on the 3x4 card in the patterned paper pad, so I used that as the inspiration for the card.
The patterned papers are from Echo Park's Celebrate Easter paper pad. I matted the saying with kraft cardstock, then wrapped the yummy Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine around it like a frame and added a double bow of it in the bottom right corner. That twist of Trendy Twine is one of my absolute FAVORITES for springtime! The focal point was popped up with foam tape. To embellish, I used Bearly Art precision glue to add Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems. I also added glitter Pearl Pen to some of the jelly beans for a little extra sparkle.

Confirmation Scrapbook Layout

Hello all! Last week I shared a First Communion layout, and this week I have a Confirmation one to share with you!
The patterned papers I used were from DCWV's Red & White Christmas (red background) and The Paper Studio's Boy paper pad (orange). I inked the edges of the yellow and orange papers with Scrapbook.com inks in Daffodil and Orange Spice. The flame elements were adhered with Bearly Art precision glue. The words were created in Sure Cuts A Lot and were cut out of adhesive vinyl. The dove was also cut with my Silhouette Cameo and was popped up with foam tape

First Communion Scrapbook Layout

Hello all! Today I am sharing a scrapbook layout that I created for First Communion. It was a labor of love to paper piece the chalice and grapes.
Here is a list of the patterned papers I used: Craft Smith Heritage paper pad, DCWV Mercury Glass stack, Recollections Modern Bouquet paper pad, and The Paper Studio Glam Glitter paper pad. The chalice area was cut on my Silhouette Cameo using file #74695 First Communion Chalice Flat Card. It was also a file in SVG Attic Communion of Faith set if you have those files! I embossed the chalice with a Darice cross embossing folder. The stamp on the bottom of the page was a wood mounted stamp from Hobby Lobby and was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. Embellishments include white satin ribbon and Park Lane adhesive gems. Adhesives used include ATGfoam tape, and Bearly Art precision glue. The white and black layers of the First Communion words were created with adhesive vinyl. I love making the headings for layouts with vinyl! It is so much simpler and cuts cleaner than paper.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Birthday 2U Card

The inks I used include VersaFine Clair Nocturne, Twilight, and Green Oasis and Scrapbook.com Leather. The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's Stonewashed paper pad. The squares were die cut with Cottage Cutz stitched square dies, and a trio of white enamel dots was the only embellishment.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
