Halloween Card from a Sketch

Yesterday, I was invited to participate in a sketch challenge at Paper Play Sketches.  Normally, I am not a huge sketch fan, but this one I really liked, so I decided to have a go at it!  Here is what I created...
I am in all-out Halloween mode right now, so be prepared to see LOTS of Halloween cards!  This one started with a white DCWV card base and all the papers are from DCWV's Spooky Night mini stack.  The stamp is from Unity stamps (it was a gift from Kim at Craftisan Studios) and I used Lime Licorice Trendy Twine on it as well.  The Black pearls are from Oriental Trading.
And here is the sketch I followed! I think I did a pretty good job sticking to it ;)

Bright and Bold Birthday Card

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped by Kristie's blog and was totally inspired by a sketch that she had created with.  I knew I wanted to create with it, so I dug out some papers and got started!
The patterned papers are all from DCWV's Fiesta Forever stack.  The stamp is from a retired My Craft Spot stamp set.  I embellished the card with a button and some In The Navy Trendy Twine.
The sentiment panel is popped up with thin foam tape for extra dimension.

Trendy Twine ~ Farm Fresh Gift Box

Good morning! Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog and this month we are featuring Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine.  Since fall is here, I went with a harvest theme for my project!
I started with a 3x3x3 kraft box and added papers from G45's Home Sweet Home stack, which was a gift from my sweet friend, Cyndy!  I decorated the front with a panel from the paper stack and added sequins from the Autumn Sequin Mix.
I wrapped the box with Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine and added a Petite Kraft Tag with Metal Rim on which I had stamped a sentiment from the Hello Fall Planner Stamp set.  A few more Autumn Sequins on the top finished it off.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

DCWV Halloween Treats

Hello friends! Beth from the DCWV Social Media Design Team here.  Halloween will be here before we know it, so I took a little time to start on projects for that holiday.
First up, I used the Spooky Night 6x6" stack and my envelope punch board to make these treat envelopes.  Using the 6x6 paper, punch and score at 2  5/8" on the envelope punch board.  Then rotating your paper 90 degrees, line up the score line with the guide line, punch and score again, and continue that around the whole paper.  You will end up with these cute holders that fit a fun size M&M package perfectly!
I embellished them with three different colors of Trendy Twine (Lime Licorice, Trick or Treat and Orange Licorice) and some fantastic Halloween charms from Blue Moon Beads (available in Joann Fabrics stores).  I used Glue Dots to assemble these.
For the spider web witch hat, I used the Hats, Cats, & Bats stack.  That stack is already pre die cut, so making this hat was a breeze!  No die cutting tools needed!  I used some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine at the top of the hat to suspend my spider and attach more of the fun charms and a tassel all from Blue Moon Beads (available in Joann Fabrics stores).
Want to see what is in the stacks that I used?  Here are flip through videos of them!

License Plate Birthday Card

Hello all!  I am behind once again on posting cards that I have made recently.  This one in particular is the one I made for my brother's 30th birthday!
He collected license plates when we were growing up, so knew the papers from DCWV's Treasures stack (available at Michaels) was perfect for his card!  I added some stamps from Unity Stamp Co., a bow of Totally Black Trendy Twine, and Epiphany Crafts 14mm epoxys for added fun.  The burlap strip is from DCWV's Printed Burlap 6x6 stack.

SVG Attic Fall Decor

Good morning all!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  Fall will be here in just a couple of days, so I created this fall decor to share with you.
For the apple basket, I used the file from JGW Fall Ensemble.  There is a great tutorial HERE to help with assembly.  Papers are from DCWV's Pumpkin Patch stack.  I added a small bow of Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine to the front.
The pumpkin is from the JGW Falling Leaves set.  Tutorial for that is HERE.  The leaf with vine is from the JGW Sam the Scarecrow set and it worked perfectly on the pumpkin!  Once again, all the papers are from DCWV's Pumpkin Patch stack.  I wrapped some Totally Chocolate and Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twines around the pumpkin.

Here is a look at the sets that I used:

APB Stamps~ Sweet Treats Box

Hello all!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I am showcasing the Happy Halloween Stamp Set.  The different sentiments and fonts on that set are so much FUN!
I filled a Candy Cube (2x2 clear box) with candy corn.  For the top, I stamped two different sentiments from the Happy Halloween Stamp Set onto banners and used Glue Dots to adhere them.  Then I added a double bow of Orange Licorice Trendy Twine on top.
Around the outside, I wrapped a 1" strip of patterned paper (DCWV's Eek A Boo stack), once again adhering it with Glue Dots.  Then I took a bat charm from Blue Moon Beads and used Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine to tie it to the front of the box.
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Curtain Fold Sympathy Card Tutorial

Hello all!  Today I am sharing my very first card tutorial video with you!  Yes.  I finally got up the courage to do that!  Why?  Because this card I made was a design that I came up with myself.  Of course, the curtain fold concept has been around for a while, but I couldn't find any that turned out *exactly* how I wanted them to.  So, I came up with my own!  Here is the video with step by step instructions:

DCWV DIY Favor Boxes

Hello friends!  Beth from the DCWV Social Media Design Team here.  I had to share these super sweet favor boxes that I whipped up in no time with DCWV's new DIY Project Stack: Favor Boxes (available at Michaels stores).  I really had so much fun creating these!  I decorated all of these boxes with elements that are found in the DIY Project Stack: Favor Boxes and the DIY Project Stack: Tags (also available at Michaels).
These are the largest boxes that are in that stack.  They are in gold and coral with gold dots.
On the gold box, I colored the heart with Floral Tones Chameleon Pens and added the banner on the top.
This style of box is perfect for a few pieces of candy!  They are in coral polka dot and kraft.
Finally, this stack also has pillow boxes in coral polka dot and turquoise stripe.  They fit a gift card inside perfectly!
Here is a flip through video that I made of the Favor Boxes stack:
And here is one of the Tags stack:
If you haven't seen these in your local Michael's store yet, you really need to check them out!  I know you will love them as much as I do!

DCWV DIY Pop Up Cards

Hello crafty friends!  One of DCWV's new DIY stacks at Michaels is Pop-Up Cards.  I have always been a fan of those, but have never made one because I thought they would be difficult to figure out.  Guess what...that stack makes pop-up cards SO easy!  Here are three that I created in just a short amount of time.
This flower is so pretty, isn't it?
And these birds look like they are flying off of a tree branch.
There are even some simple word pop ups in this stack!  All pre-cut and ready to go.  All you have to do is punch out the pieces and assemble!  Easy peasy!
Here is a peek at the fronts of the cards.  I love that they are understated to really allow for the WOW factor when the card is opened.
So if you are like me, and are intimidated by pop-up cards, don't let that stop you anymore!  Head on over to your local Michaels store and pick this stack up!

Here is a flip through video that I made of that stack:
