Minnie Mouse Balloon Card

Hello all!  I just wanted to pop in quick to share this Minnie Mouse birthday card with you.  I used DCWV's Minty Lace stack for all of the patterned papers and I love the soft look those created!
The bow was punched from the Stampin' Up! bow builder punch.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and for embellishments, I used Totally White Trendy Twine and pearly sequins.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Monogrammed Heart Necklace

Hello my crafty friends!  Beth from the DCWV Social Media Design Team here.  Today I have a little bit of a different craft for you.  It isn't made of paper...*GASP*...I know!  But seriously, my love of vinyl is right up there with my love of paper and since this is jewelry, what's not to love?
This project literally took 5 minutes tops.  It is from a new collection called Made Mine from Blue Moon Beads.  They are available at Joann Fabrics stores and make monogramming SO easy!  The enamel heart necklace and the silver adhesive letters come separate so you can mix and match styles and colors to make the perfect gift.
Since I work a lot with vinyl, I have a couple of tips for you when making these beautiful pieces of jewelry.

  • Wipe the surface to which I am going to apply the letters to with rubbing alcohol so it is free of dirt and/or oils.
  • Never touch the adhesive side with your fingers!  The oils from your hands can break down the adhesive and make it not stick as well.
  • I like to use clear transfer tape so I can see the exact placement.
  • Most importantly, HAVE FUN and be creative :)

Trendy Twine ~ A+ School Card

Hi crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog and this month we are focusing on Back to School projects.
This card uses paper from DCWV's Grade School stack and the colors of Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine coordinated with it perfectly!  I use the twine to wrap around the center panel as well as creating the full bow on the tag.  The tag consists of a Red Tag-It (LOVE these!!) and sentiments from the NEW Smile stamp set.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Faceless Beauty Bookmark

Today I am sharing this bookmark as a tiny part of a friend's Growing In Unity week. Sadly, Carly's mother passed away this week and I said that she could use this project for one of her days if it would help her out.  She has it in the Growing In Unity Facebook group today, so I will post the details here :)
I used the gorgeous Faceless Beauty stamp set from Unity.  I have used it different times before and always love how it turns out.  I wanted the bookmark to resemble a mirror if self reflection. The sentiment at the bottom cut from the paper says "Be Bold" as a reminder!
The patterned papers are from DCWV's Gilded Grey stack (available at A.C. Moore stores).  I added vellum over the stamped image to soften its look.  I used Totally Black and Totally White Trendy Twines for the topper.

Unity gives away two stamp grab bags for Growing In Unity weeks, so if you want a chance to win those, head on over to Carly's post on Facebook and leave her some love there.

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Butterfly Sympathy Card

I have another simple card to share with you today.  Don't you just love it when the papers you create with speak volumes?  The Mariposa stack from DCWV does just that.  How gorgeous are those butterflies?!
I don't make sympathy cards very often, but this one went to a very special lady who lost her brother at a young age.  She is one of my DT sisters and I knew she would feel the warmth of love surround her even though she lives several states away!
The sentiment is from a retired set from My Craft Spot.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Love You Card

Here is a quick card that I created with my boys for my husband!  I wanted it to have a masculine-ish feel to it.  The papers I used were from DCWV's Gilded Paper stack and also their Premium Natural Cork stack.
I popped up the sentiment panel with Scotch foam tape.  The Krazy For Kraft Trendy Twine and gold sequin were the perfect finishing touches!  A quick yet beautiful card.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Marshall Paw Patrol Birthday Card

I must admit.  It has been a long time since I have posted on my blog with something other than a DT project.  Summer was quite busy and I now I hope to catch up a bit on some cards that I made, but didn't take the time to share with you!
Today, I am sharing this fun birthday card that I made for one of my nephews.  He loves Marshall from Paw Patrol!  I cut out the svg file (free from HERE) with the base of black cardstock, but all the other layers were out of vinyl. I knew they would cut perfectly and were already adhesive, so I didn't need to worry about gluing down tiny parts!  I popped Marshall up using Scotch foam tape.
The papers are from The Paper Studio's Little Boys and their Toys stack (which I have had forever!)  The stamp I used is from Pretty Cute Stamps and the twine I used is Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

DCWV Nautical Gift Bag

Good morning all!  Beth from the DCWV Social Media Design Team here with you today with a summer gift bag tutorial.
1. Create gift bag using an SVG file. This one was from SVG Attic (It is currently retired, but it is from the All At Sea set), but you could use nautical cut files and decorate any bag file you find. Paper used for the gift bag base is from DCWV’s Coastal stack (available at A.C. Moore stores).

2. Decorate bag with wave SVG files fit to width of your bag using various blue pearl papers from the Coastal stack. You may want to ink the edges of your cut files to add dimension and distinction as seen in the photos.
3. Use a life preserver SVG file and papers from the Coastal stack (white is the flip side of the printed paper) and red from the Brights Border cardstock stack (available at A.C. Moore stores).  Add a length of coordinating twine around the outside and adhere to front of bag using foam dimensionals.
4. Cut an Anchor SVG file using papers from the Coastal stack. Adhere anchor layers together and string In The Navy Trendy Twine through the top of the anchor. Braid the tails of the twine. Adhere the anchor to the front of the gift bag with foam dimensionals. (Tip: The lower right side of the anchor will need two layers of dimensionals and the part that is on top of the life preserver will only need one due to the life preserver already being popped up.) Glue the ends of the braided twine to the inside of the bag.

5. Add layered Enjoy sentiment from Coastal stack on the front of the bag.

6. Embellish bag with wooden buttons using glue dots to adhere if desired.

I am so excited to share with all of you that this project is featured on the A.C. Moore website!  You can check it out HERE.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Apple Core Treat Holder

Happy Sunday!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  It is back to school time here and I always like to give my boys a treat on their first day of school, so this is what I went with this year.
Even though the main focus of this project is the treats, I had to make a sweet apple core treat holder to go with it.  That file from SVG Attic's G is for Gratitude set.  I wrapped Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine around the top and added a Red Tag-It.  I used a sentiment from the brand new Smile stamp set to finish off the holder.
For the treats, I started off with Medium Candy Bags which fit Hershey's Nuggets in perfectly!  I wrapped the candies with patterned cardstock and added the topper.
The toppers use files from SVG Attic's Back to School set.  I finished them off with a bow of Cherry Midnight Trendy Twine.  All the patterned papers in this project are from DCWV's Grade School stack.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Documenting the Everyday with a Smile Blog Hop

We are so thrilled to be sharing our new stamp sets with you today. Two of them focus on memory keeping/journaling and the third one is a collection of everyday greetings. All of them are super fun and are sure to make you smile.
We also are releasing three more planner clips. These cuties can be used on your notebooks and journals and are perfect on a layout, too.
The design team has created some amazing projects for you. Have fun hopping and we hope you will find some crafty inspiration along the way. Here is what I created...

I used the Documenting the Everyday stamp set to create this scrapbook layout.  I also used In The Navy Trendy Twine to embellish with.
I used yellow and blue Tag-Its to stamp the fun sentiments from the Documenting the Everyday stamp set on.  They were simply perfect for this project!
The papers I used are DCWV's Playtime and 6x6 Paper Lace stacks as well as Pressed Petals Precut alphabet/numbers stack.
Using the Smile stamp set I created these fun birthday items:
The card features the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Smile stamp set.  I also used Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine on the balloon.
The matching gift bag also used stamps from the Smile stamp set on the yellow Tag-It.  I used Totally Pink Trendy Twine on the balloon and tied the bag shut with Tickled Pink Trendy Twine.  I used SVG files from SVG Attic's SDS Birthday Bash set and papers are from DCWV's Confetti stack.

Tiny Worlds Eiffel Tower Necklace

Hello crafty friends!  Today I am sharing a little bit of a different project with you...jewelry.
This is a creation from the Tiny Worlds line from Blue Moon Beads.
It includes an Eiffel Tower, the word "love" and filler beads and glitter.  For the charms on the outside, I chose the word "wish" and a clear acrylic drop.  The chain is a 24" metal ball chain.
The best part about this necklace is that a young girl I was crafting with recently saw it and fell totally in love with it.  I was happy to give it to her to wear and enjoy.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

3D Locker Gift Box

Good morning my crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  School starts in 11 days here, so I went with a back to school theme.
I created the locker in from the JGW Campus Capers set.  I just added a more sophisticated and modern look to it!  The papers I used are from DCWV's Modern Metallic stack that is available at AC Moore stores.
The fun part is that the locker opens to be used as a gift box!  The lock even slides off for extra fun.
Want to see all the files that are included in the JGW Campus Capers set?  Here it is!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
