Party Coop Card

Hello friends!  I am back again with another chicken themed card for SumMore Fun!  You aren't tired of them yet, are you?  This card features what may be my favorite stamps of the whole release from the Raisin Boat Chicken Coop stamp set. I just love that coop!
First off, I stamped the coop and feed stamps from the Raisin Boat Chicken Coop set in black ink and die cut around the coop with a GMD wonky stitched square die.  I cut the chicken feed stamp out with my Scan N Cut. Both were colored with Artify alcohol markers.  I then came back to the coop panel and stamped the chicken feed from the same stamp set.  The bag of feed was popped up with foam tape and the whole square panel was distressed with brown ink around it.
Once again, the sentiment was from the Raisin Boat Chicken Coop stamp set and was stamped in black ink.  The feather was a Cottage Cutz die cut.  All of the woodgrain cardstock was included with the Chicken Pack bundle which is now sold out.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Birthday Chick Card

Good morning!  I am sharing another chicken themed card for SumMore Fun today.  This one has a totally different feel to it than the others that I shared.  I went super cutesy with this one :)  The stamps I used are from the Raisin Boat Chicken Coop stamp set.  The Chicken Pack bundle that was available this past weekend is sold out, but two of the three stamp sets are available for individual purchase, so go check them out!
To start with, I stamped the balloons and chick from RB Chicken Coop with Scrapbook.com black hybrid ink onto white paper.  After coloring them with Artify markers (which I really love!), I cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut.  I decided to do a slimline card for the very first time with the images because I thought that layout would look the best.  Once the balloons were arranged how I liked them on a white piece of cardstock, I glued them down and drew black lines to the chick to look like strings.
For accents on the balloons, I added small enamel dots and white gel pen doodles.  I stamped the sentiment from the RB Chicken Coop in black as well then added Trendy Twines that matched the balloons (Orangesicle, Twisted Lime, Peppermint, Lemon Tart, Blue Berry TT).  The whole stamped panel was popped up with foam tape and matted with patterned cardstock from the DCWV Celebration Stack.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

*NEW RELEASE* Nesting Box Card

Welcome to another SumMore Fun blog post!  I am super excited about a new/re-release that we are having.  It is called the Chicken Pack and I absolutely love this fun set:

***UPDATE*** The Chicken Pack is now SOLD OUT but you can still purchase the Chicken Coop and Chicken Soup stamp sets separately.

Retail Value is $39.99 but buy it now for ONLY $29.99!  Make sure you hurry, THERE ARE ONLY A COUPLE OF THESE LEFT and this bundle is the ONLY way you can get that chicken wire background stamp.  It is not available for purchase separately.

Here is a card that I created using the Raisin Boat Chicken Coop stamp set, as well as the woodgrain and red cardstocks and card base from the Chicken Pack.
First up, I stamped the chicken image from Chicken Coop using Scrapbook.com black hybrid ink and colored it in with Artify alcohol markers.  I then die cut a circle in the awesome white woodgrain paper from the Chicken Pack and also from a piece of kraft cardstock.  I wanted it to look like you were looking in a circle doorway of a nesting box!
The sentiment is also from the Chicken Coop stamp set and was stamped in black ink on kraft paper.  I added some die cut eggs, popped up the sentiment strip with foam tape and added some burlap ribbon.  The finishing touches were inking the edges of the white papers with tan ink and using a black gel pen to make doodles.  The whole card front was matted with a red cardstock from the Chicken Pack for a pop of color.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

*NEW RELEASE* Chicken Wire Card

Welcome to another SumMore Fun blog post!  This time I am super excited about a new/re-release that we are having.  It is called the Chicken Pack and I absolutely love this fun set:

The Chicken Pack includes:
  • one background stamp (Chicken Wire)
  • two stamp sets (Chicken Coop and Chicken Soup)
  • four sheets of 6x6" woodgrain cardstock
  • six red A2 envelopes
  • six white A2 card bases
  • six pieces of red A2 size cardstock

Retail Value is $39.99 but buy it now for ONLY $29.99!  Make sure you hurry, because supplies are limited and this bundle is the ONLY way you can get that chicken wire background stamp.  It is not available for purchase separately.

Here is a card that uses all three of the stamp sets available in the Chicken Pack (RB Chicken Wire, RB Chicken Soup (image), and RB Chicken Coop (sentiment).
The chicken wire background was inked with Charcoal ink from Scrapbook.com, then inked on top of that with VersaMark so I could emboss with clear powder.  I ink blended with SB.com Leather ink around the outside of the background as well.  The nest was stamped in SB.com black hybrid ink and colored with Artify Markers.  The circles were all die cut using GMD X-stitched circle dies.  The sentiment was also stamped in black ink.  The embellishments include Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine and GMD Mai Tai enamel dots.
If you loved the chicken theme of this card, stay tuned because there will be many more shared in the near future using items from the SumMore Fun Chicken Pack!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Treats To Make You Smile

Hello all!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with these treat boxes.  They are all decked out with uplifting sentiments to make the recipients smile!  I just love how red, white and blue can be go-to colors for any season or event.
I started with Mini To Go Boxes and filled them with an assortment of non meltable candy since these were for a outdoor get together (socially distanced!).  I knew right away I wanted to use the uplifting sentiments from the Choose Happy stamp set on Tag-Its, so I started with some Navy Tag-Its and stamped on those with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder.  I then added washi tape to the bottom of the tag and a Kraft Brown Trendy Page Dot and Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine to the top.  I adhered the tag to the top of the box with Glue Dots.
For the red tags, I made them with almost the same method as the navy one above, but used Cranberry Tag-Its and Navy ink for the sentiment from the Choose Happy stamp set.
I wanted to decorate the box as well, so I added some of the same washi tape as I used on the tags around the bottom edge of the box.  I then alternated on the boxes using Totally Red Trendy TwineTotally Navy Trendy TwineTotally White Trendy Twine and tying them around the box, making sure to glue them in a couple areas so they wouldn't shift.  I added a star button to each of the boxes and some Frosted Cranberry Sequins.  These were a fun way to let people know we are thinking about them, especially during this crazy time.

Monochromatic Eagle Birthday Card

Happy Sunday!  I am posting for the SumMore Fun blog today.  This time, I created a masculine birthday card with some of their red rubber AND photopolymer stamps.
SumMore Fun is in the process of retiring all of their red rubber stamps, but I have several of them that I love and just had to share this technique with you.  Even though the nature stamps I used on this card are not available for purchase, you could easily re-create this card using pine trees from the Winter Heart and Sole or Merry Nature photopolymer sets.  Any wildlife stamp could replace the eagle such as the Got Game? photopolymer set.  To make this card, I simply used monochromatic inks from Scrapbook.com, starting with the lightest in the back and darkest in the front.  The ink colors I used include: Sugar Cookie, Camel. Leather, and Dark Chocolate.  The eagle was stamped on a different paper and cut out with my Scan N Cut and popped up with foam tape.  The sentiment was from the Raisin Boat Varsity Locker stamp set.  I added patterned paper and matted the panels with dk brown cardstock to stick with the monochromatic theme.  I recommend using a stamp platform with this technique so you can get the exact placement you want with all of your stamps.
Now for some EGG-citing news!! SumMore Fun will be having a RE-RELEASE of some awesome stamp sets on July 18th!  I had never seen these sets before, so they were new to me, and I absolutely fell in LOVE with them.  Here is a sneak peek of one of my cards that will be shared later.  Stay tuned for more news on this release as well as awesome inspiration from the DT!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Panda Birthday Card

Hello everyone!  Don't you just love it when your kids craft with you?  Today I am turning my SumMore Fun blog post over to my son, Levi, to let you know what he did to make this birthday card for his brother.
First I stamped a panda from the Raisin Boat What a Zoo, Too! using black ink. Second, I put black cardstock behind it, and added an action wobble. I wanted a fun background to go with pandas, so I chose green cardstock and embossed it with a zig zag embossing folder.
I added two stripes of washi tape to the green background.  Finally, I used a Silhouette Cameo and cut the 8 and Connor out and glued them to the paper.  Now, it is ready to give to him for his birthday!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Flag Note Card & Envelope

Hello all!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with this kraft note card and envelope set.  I decorated it with a vintage patriotic theme, which could be used any time of the year, but is especially fun for summertime.
I started with the Kraft Scallop Note Card and wrapped Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine and Totally Red Trendy Twine in line with the scallops.  The top two pieces of Trendy Twine were poked through the cardstock with a paper piercer.  I taped the ends of the twine to the back and covered the back with a scrap piece of cardstock cut to size so the ends wouldn't show when the card was opened.  I then stamped the large star from the Merry Christmas stamp set and the Blessed sentiment from the Hello Fall planner stamp set in Scrapbook.com Midnight Blue ink.  White gel pen doodles finished the look I was going for with the note card.
Next up was decorating the Kraft Small Envelope!  Once I stamped the stars from the Merry Christmas stamp set in Scrapbook.com Cardinal Red and Midnight Blue inks, I added white gel pen doodles as well.  I really like how the white brightened up the whole project.
In this photo, you can see that the note card easily fits in the envelope with no issues even though there is extra bulk on the note card.  Now it is ready to write a note in and give to someone special!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
