SumMore Fun Mood Board #25

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
The stamp set I used on this card was Raisin Boat's Oops A Daisy.  I stamped different daisies along the bottom and left side using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and a the sentiment off to the right.  I watercolored the daisies using Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean, Worn lipstick, and Shabby Shutters.  After it was dry, I die cut the panel with a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die.  I came back in with Antique Linen Distress ink to do some shading around the daisies.  The finishing touch was matching enamel dots.
Here is a look at the current mood board:
You can enter using the theme, pictures, or colors. Lots of choices! Head on over to the SumMore Fun blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s. We can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

84th Birthday Card

Good morning!  My husband's grandpa is celebrating his 84th birthday on April 1st.  This is the card I created to send to him.
I started off by picking the patterned paper I wanted to use, going the rustic route.  The stack is DCWV's Maps, Text, and Ledgers.  I picked elements out of it that I wanted to highlight and went to work!  The 84 was cut with my Cameo, layering it 3 times for extra dimension.
The sentiment stamp is from Victorine Originals.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp it.  Embellishments I used were silver brads and hardware.  Adhesives include ATG and Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Easter Wishes Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing the Easter card style that I sent out to most of my family.  I wanted to use the GMD Easter Banner Die, so I based it around that.
I used patterned papers from The Paper Studio's Watercolor Daydream stack (yes, it was one of my 75% off purchases!) and gray cardstock.  The sentiment stamp is from The Cutting Cafe Shop and I stamped it with Onyx Black VersaFine ink.  The embellishments I used include white satin ribbon and a snow marker to make the bunny tails.  Adhesives used were ATG and Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Easter Blessings Card

Happy Monday morning! I am on the SVG Attic blog today with this beautiful Easter card.  I needed to create one more to send out to family, and this one was perfect!
I used the Easter Blessings A6 Card file from SnapDragon Snippets.  It can also be found in the Silhouette store.  I really didn't alter anything from the original design.  The papers I used are from DCWV's Romantic Life stack and Brights Adhesive mat stack as well as scrap papers.
I kept the card simple, only embellishing with Platinum Stickles on the lily stamens and Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White on the word Easter.  The finishing touch was a bow of white seam binding.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Tag with Manila Pocket

Hello all and happy Thursday!  I am sharing this fun tag with manila pocket on the Trendy Twine blog today.  It is perfect for adding to a scrapbook page, a present, or simply writing a note on the tag to give to someone special!
This view is of the tag inside the Manila Library Pocket.  I decorated the pocket with AC Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6x6 papers, Twisted Lime Trendy Twine, and Chocolate Truffle Sequins.
Here you can see the tag removed from the pocket.  Don't these look so sweet together?!
The tag was created with more of the same patterned paper, Chocolate Truffle Sequins, a Hello Fall Trendy Page DotTwisted Lime Trendy Twine, and a sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamp set, stamped in brown ink.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

First Communion Invitations and Layout

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog. The cards and layout I am sharing with you uses Raisin Boat's First Communion stamp set.  It is an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone who is celebrating that occasion.  My son will be doing so in a couple weeks.
I created all the invitations using gray and white cardstock.  I designed the top white panel shape in my SCAL 4 software to fit the gorgeous border stamp in the First Communion stamp set.  I stamped using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and used clear embossing powder on the outline.  The sentiment was also stamped in the same way.  For the chalice, I used the same ink, but embossed with white pearl embossing powder for a silver look.
I used the dotted border stamp with gray ink to add a little more visual interest to the paper underneath the sentiment banner.  All the white cardstock was popped up with foam tape.  I used Totally White Trendy Twine to embellish and also added a dot of Ice White Viva Pearl Pen above the chalice to look like the Holy Eucharist.  Here is a look at all the invitations I created!
I kept one of the cards not assembled so that I could make this layout page for my son's scrapbook.  I asked him how he wanted it to be, and this is the design and papers he chose!  All the elements are the same as the cards with the addition of patterned paper from DCWV's Silver Leaf stack, a white and silver doily, and a larger chalice stamp that is also from the First Communion stamp set.  That stamp and it's shadow were cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut.
Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

DCD Guest Designer ~ Flower Challenge

Hello all!  I am guest designer over at the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog today.  They have a new challenge theme this week with the theme of flowers.  Remember, you need to use a die cut to enter their challenge!  Here is what I created for inspiration:
I used the SnapDragon Snippets Flower Chocolate Candy Card file to create this card and treat all rolled into one!  It has delicious Dove chocolates under the squares of paper.  Instead of the die cut sentiment that came with the file, I used Kat Scrappiness' Mom die cut to make this a Mother's Day card.  The papers I used are from DCWV's Watercolor Garden stack.  Adhesives include ATG, Scotch Tacky glue, and removable Glue Dots (for on the chocolates).
Remember to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog to check out the other DT inspiration and to enter their flower challenge!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SumMore Fun Mood Board #24

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
The stamp set I used for this card is Raisin Boat's Spring Is In The Air.  The background was created by using the grass stamp in that set, turning it horizontally to stamp, then rotating it 180 degrees and stamping again, overlapping a bit with the first stamping.  Isn't that a fun way to create a background?  I used Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber, Broken China, and Peeled Paint for the background.  The bunny and sentiment were stamped in black.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut the bunny and its shadow layer.  I added texture to the bunny's tail with a snow marker (you could also use liquid applique).  I embellished with pink ribbon and sequins.
Here is a look at the current mood board:

Simple Thanks Card

Good morning!  I volunteered to create some thank you cards for our church to send out as needed, so I wanted to keep them simple and flat for easy mailing.  This is what I came up with.
I used The Paper Studio's Sophisticated Sparkle paper pad that was part of my 75% of clearance Hobby Lobby shopping spree.  All the papers have a gorgeous pearlized finish to them, hence the slight difference in color of the patterned paper you see between the two pictures.  I also used gray and peach cardstock and used Pink and Main's Thanks die for the sentiment.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing a quick and simple baby girl card that I made to coordinate with the personalized onesie I shared a couple of weeks ago.

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Spring Kraft Tube

Hello all and happy Thursday! I am sharing this spring themed kraft treat tube on the Trendy Twine blog today.
I started with a Kraft Window Tube and kept it flat so I could stamp on it with Raisin Boat's Cherry Blossom stamp set using Distress Oxide Inks in Worn Lipstick, Lucky Clover, and Cracked Pistachio.  I filled it with spring Hershey's Kisses and popped the clear ends on the tube.
I further decorated the tube with Pink and Spring Green Tag-Its.  I stamped a sentiment in black from the APB Choose Happy stamp set and another cherry blossom onto them.  I added a Lime Orangesicle Trendy Page Dot to the tag, then wrapped Twisted Lime Trendy Twine around the tube, attaching the tags with a bow.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Elegant Baptism Card

Good Morning! Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog. The card I am sharing with you uses a newly restocked stamp set from Raisin Boat called God's Child.  I used the gown and Bible stamp from that set to create the focal point of this card.
The stamps were cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut 2.  (Psst!  My DT sister, Lisa, is doing an amazing Scan N Cut GIVEAWAY on her blog!)  I layered them on several die cut layers (GMD crochet lace oval, GMD stitched rectangle, GMD lacey edged rectangle)  The white rectangle was embossed with a Darice Crosses embossing folder.  Since There was a lot of glitter from the cardstock, I opted to only embellish with white seam binding ribbon. Adhesives used include Tombow Xtreme, Glue Dots, and Foam Tape.
Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

St. Patty's Day Treats

Good Wednesday Morning! I am on the SVG Attic blog today with these fun St. Patty's treats!
I started with the SnapDragon Snippets Pot O Gold Candy Wrap svg file and used DCWV's Garden Charm and Adhesive Mat stacks to create it.  I filled a small zip top bag with chocolates and adhered it inside the wrap to show through the front.  The finishing touch was a bow of yellow ribbon.
I then created two Gold Coin Boxes using The Paper Studio's Watercolor Daydream double sided paper.  For the top decorative layer, I inked it with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink and splattered it with water for an oxidized look.  I assembled these boxes with Scotch Tacky glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Easter Banner Card

Easter will be here before we know it!  This is actually a card I created quite a while ago, but I wanted to wait to share it until it was closer to the holiday.
I created the background with Canson XL watercolor paper, GMD Geometric Pattern stencil and homemade embossing paste.  I used Distress inks in Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn to add a little color to it.  The banner is GMD Easter Banner die.  I embellished the bunnies with bows of Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine and GMD Sophisticated enamel dots.
I added a stamped sentiment that is from The Paper Studio and wrapped more Bubblegum Taffy Trendy Twine around that.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
