Graduation Cards

Hello all! I am back again with another large grouping of cards. This time it is graduation cards because my oldest child is graduating in May and I want to have plenty of cards made ahead for graduations we will be invited to! These are all created with Echo Park Graduation supplies...6x6 papers, 12x12 papers, and ephemera.
All of these cards were based on the No Scraps Sketch Set #1 from Bourbon Creek Crafts. I really love that sketch! Additional supplies used on these cards include: ATG, Bearly Art precision glue, Foam Tape, gold and black thin tape, and Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

GIU Gal Day#5

Hello all! Welcome to Day 5 of my Growing in Unity week. I am thrilled to be able to showcase Unity Stamp Co. products every day this week. Make sure you follow along and comment on my blog each day for a chance to win $20 Unity gift certificates sponsored by Unity Stamp Co!

My fifth and final project of the week is a 5x7 graduation card. My oldest son graduates in May, so I have been working ahead to make cards for all the graduations we will be invited to!
The focal point of this card is a stamp from the May 2023 KOM, Bloom in Color. I stamped it with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink, then heat embossed it with Wow! clear gloss embossing powder. I just love that shine! The layers of the focal point were die cut with Cottage Cutz Stitched Rounded Rectangle dies. It was popped up with foam tape onto the card.
The patterned papers are from Echo Park's Graduation 12x12 collection. The tassel was made with Midnight Trendy Twine and the final embellishment was a trio of GMD New Years sparkle enamel dots. Additional adhesives used on this card include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG.
Make sure you leave a comment here before you go and come back next week for the winners of the two Unity gift certificates!!

Graduation Cards

I am trying to work ahead a bit for events I know I will need cards for this year. Graduation cards were definitely on my to do list! When I saw the Echo Park Graduation papers, I knew I needed to grab them. I used both the 12x12 collection and 6x6 paper pad for these cards in conjunction with the OWH sketch #1 (first page of the linked pdf).
In all, I created 8 cards, 2 of each design.
The 3x3 journaling cards in the 6x6" paper pad made these cards a snap!
The only embellishment was Nail Art striping tape (essentially thin metallic washi tape) that created a border between the two background patterned papers.
Adhesives used include ATGfoam tape, and Bearly Art precision glue. On this last card, I also added a few gold star sequins from the Delightful Sequins mix to bring gold to the focal point.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Monochromatic Grad Card

Hello all!  Today is my day to share a project for the Trendy Twine blog.  The Trendy Twine colors of this month are Midnight and Stormy, which work perfectly with all the graduations happening AND are on sale this month!
For the card that I am sharing today, I started with patterned papers from DCWV's Gilded Grey stack and matted and layered those onto a card base.  With the background paper, I thought a "thread nest" would look nice on the card, so I used Stormy Trendy Twine to create that and popped up a sentiment strip over the top of it. The sentiment was from the APB You've Got Mail stamp set and was stamped in black ink.  The die cut grad hat was from the Silhouette Store file number 58783 (graduation banner grad caps) and was cut 3" wide.  The final embellishment was a trio of gold star sequins from the Delightful Sequins mix.  On a side note, the Merry Sequins mix has silver stars that I could have also used, but decided the pop of gold was just right for this card.  The layout of this card was inspired by the February 2020 SheetLoad of Cards sketch.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

You can find both of the fantastic Trendy Twine colors we are featuring this month in the Midnight Trendy Twine Sampler.

Annie's Paper Boutique - Greetings Stamp Release

We are so excited about the BRAND NEW Annie's Paper Boutique Greetings stamp set because it's been a little while since we've had a stamp release. This set was created with crafters and cardmakers in mind; it's a wonderful collection of sentiments for different occasions.  Make sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog for more inspiration with this stamp set!
We hope you enjoy our Greetings stamp set as much as we do.  Here is what I created with it:
This graduation card features several of the stamps from the Greetings set.  The exclamation point is seperate from all the sentiments so it can be used with any of them...or none if the occasion doesn't warrant it.  I stamped all the sentiments with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto die cut fishtail banners that I randomly glued to the background.  I placed a die cut graduation hat onto the larger white banner and finished the card off with a band and bow of Black Licorice Trendy Twine.  Don't you think that background with the sentiments is a fun technique?

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Celebrate Grad Cards

Yesterday my boys went back TO school, so it seems odd to be sharing graduation cards, but in reality area schools just had their graduations this month.  This COVID business is getting old, isn't it. Anyway, here are the cards graduates received from us this year!
The patterned papers are from DCWV's Jet Black stack.  I used solid color cardstock in school colors for the hat and matting.  The square die for the hat is from Cottage Cutz, while the sentiment die is from Sizzix.  I made a tassel from Totally White Trendy Twine and attached it to the hat with a brad.  Adhesives used were ATG and tacky glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Chalkboard Style Congrats Cards

I promised you another day of graduation cards, so here they are!  I made them in a very similar style as yesterday's card, but with a different feel to them.
The papers are from DCWV's DIY Chalk Party stack, which I love for school themed projects.  The stamp set is Pink and Main's Congrats and I stamped it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white powder.  I used GMD slash stitched oval dies and popped them up with foam tape.
Embellishments include Totally Lemon Trendy Twine (first card), white seam binding (second card), and Gold Pearl Pen dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Feminine Congrats Card

This is going to be a week for me to post all the graduation cards I made this year :)  If you missed yesterday's post, you can see it here, plus I will have another graduation card tomorrow to share.
I really, REALLY loved how this card turned out!  The gorgeous papers are from DCWV's Hello Darlin' stack.  The stamp set is Pink and Main's Congrats and I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear powder.  I used three different kinds of oval dies and popped them up with foam tape.  Embellishments include white seam binding and GMD Rose Garden enamel dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Graduation Cards

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The cards I am sharing with you use the Victorine Originals Happy Graduation stamp.  There is also a larger Happy Graduation stamp with the same design HERE.  I love the elegance of it!
I stamped the Happy Graduation stamp using my stamp platform and VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  I heat embossed it with clear powder and colored in the image.  For this red one, the red is just Sharpie marker and the yellow is Sparkling Unicorn Spit that I painted on undiluted.
I made other cards as well in different colors, only changing the color of Sparkling Unicorn Spit for the had and ribbon.
It was fun to change things up with these cards.  I embellished with various solid twists of Trendy Twine.  The star die cut is from the GMD double stitched in and out cut star dies.  Patterned papers are from DCWV's Dots, Stripes, and Plaids and Seaside Yacht stacks.
Note:  The hat and ribbon on this were actually painted with Dolly Firebird Unicorn Spit, but it came out  as a bright pink on the white paper instead of red.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Success Index Graduation Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Opportunity Knocks stamp set.  I made this one for my oldest son who is having his 6th grade graduation next week!
I used chalk paper to stamp the Opportunity Knocks stamps onto with VersaMark ink.  I then embossed with white embossing powder.  It turned out great!  All the papers are from the DCWV DIY Chalk Party stack.  I did use Tombow Xtreme adhesive on this card because the chalk papers are a little tougher to keep stuck together.
I added some Totally Lemon Trendy Twine around the center band, plus made a tassel out of it as well!  A few GMD New Years sparkle enamel dots and the card was finished!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Graduation Gable Box

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  With graduation right around the corner, I decided to make this gift box for a small graduation gift.
I started with a Small Kraft Gable Box and added papers to all the sides.  The patterned paper is from DCWV's Hello Darlin' stack.  I added Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine around the front paper panel with Lineco Adhesive and a precision tip glue bottle.  It works like a charm!
The Pink Tag-It was stamped on with graduation stamps from Raisin Boat's Opportunity Knocks stamp set.  I added some white gel pen accents, a Kraft Brown Trendy Page DotPinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine, and Raspberry Cupcake sequins.  I also added a bow of Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine, and Raspberry Cupcake sequins on the bottom of the box as well.  To finish it off, I tied a knot of reversible satin ribbon from the Pretty In Pink set to the box handle.
Here is a close up of May's featured Trendy Twine:

Rocket Grad Card

Good Morning!  Happy first day of May!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Opportunity Knocks stamp set.  It is a great set for graduations and other school related projects.
This card started with watercolor paper and did an acrylic block watercolor technique (you can see a video with a how-to here) and Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, and Salty Ocean.  Once dry, I stamped the rocket and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I used my embossing buddy on the top of the paper, then stamped the stars with VersaMark and heat embossed them with white powder.  I added doodles with black and white gel pens.  The only embellishments were Pearl Pens in black, blue, and red.  Products also used on this card include ATG, solid colored cardstock, and GMD Stitched rectangle dies.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hello all!  I was in need of one more graduation card, so off to work I went making it!  Die Cuttin' Divas had a sketch that I decided to follow for inspiration, so I am entering it in their challenge.
Supplies used include:  GMD Double Stitched In & Out Cut Star dies, washi tape, patterned paper, Kaisercraft stamp set, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, scraps of vinyl, Graduation Cap Card svg file from SnapDragon Snippets (grad hat was cut at 2" wide), and black nuvo crystal drops.

Congrats Graduation Cards

Good morning!  We were invited to 6 graduations this year, so I needed to get going with cards!  This style was my go-to for this year.
They are fun and bright but since the papers are from DCWV's DIY Project Stack:  Chalk Party, it has a educational theme to it.  The stamps I used are from Pink and Main's Congrats set.  I didn't have the matching die, so I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut around the Congrats and make a shadow for it as well.  The four solid squares and the Congrats are popped up with foam tape.
I also used a pink card base on a couple to make them more feminine.  Additional products I used include GMD Wonky Stitched Rectangle die, sequins, and Lineco adhesive.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
