Deer Scene Card

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  I made this deer scene card to give to my dad for his birthday.  The stamps I used on it include the Raisin Boat Big Bucks stamp set and the Victorine Originals Grove of Trees stamp.
I started by making my background using Distress Oxides.  I blended Lucky Clover at the bottom and Broken China with a hand cut cloud mask to create the sky.  I then stamped the Grove of Trees stamp using my stamp platform two times using Pine Needles Distress Oxide.  I filled in some of the ground area with the grass stamp from the Big Bucks stamp set, once again with Pine Needles DO.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in black at the top of the background.  It also was from the Big Bucks stamp set.  The deer was from the same set and was stamped on a separate piece of paper in brown ink and I used my Brother Scan N Cut to fussy cut it.  Once I colored it with colored pencils, I glued it onto the card front.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Owl Birthday Card

Welcome to another Wednesday!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  I am sharing this fun owl birthday card that features stamps from the Raisin Boat Night Owl stamp set.
Using my stamp platform for accurate placement, I stamped the branch (brown ink), then the owl (black ink) and masked over the owl to stamp the moon (Pumice Stone Distress Oxide).  I then stamped the party hat in green ink on white paper and cut it out with my Brother Scan N Cut and adhered it to the card.  The pom pom was made with Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine.  I stamped the stars with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide and also added dots of silver Pearl Pen.  The owl was colored with colored pencils and I added glossy accents to the eyes for extra shine.
The bottom of the card has the sentiment, once again from the Night Owl stamp set, which I stamped using black ink.  I die cut around the whole kraft panel with a GMD Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and added three rounds of Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine and tied it in a knot.  I adhered that to a layer of black and yellow cardstock and the card was complete!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Floral Thanks Card

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I made this card using the featured Trendy Twine of the month, Lemon Midnight.
I layered solid colors of cardstock then added the die cut patterned paper layer.  I poked a hole in the paper next to the flowers to lead the Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine through it and around the right side of the paper.  I added a bow of Trendy Twine to the bottom as well.  The Thanks die cut was layered with the solid cardstock as well and the finishing touch was to add Pink Diamond Sparkling Gems with Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle.

Also new this month is the Lemon Midnight Trendy Bakers Twine Sampler

Sundri's High Tea Sneak Peek + GIVEAWAY!

Hello everyone!  This week SumMore Fun is sharing projects that are created from their stamp set "Sundri's High Tea".  It will be available to purchase on Friday, July 19th!  Without further ado, here is the card that I made for release week.
I went with a CAS design, which is unusual for me.  I stamped the teacup onto the white cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I then watercolored the image with an aqua brush and Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio, and Pumice Stone.  The pink cardstock at the bottom was stamped randomly with rose stamps in Worn Lipstick DO ink.  The sentiment was stamped in black on top of that.  Once the card front was matted with black and mint cardstock, I added Silver Pearl Pen dots.

***Now for the giveaway info!!***

I will be giving away a cardmaker's pack of Sundri's High Tea to someone who comments on this post!  For an extra chance, head on over to my post on the SumMore Fun blog and comment there as well.  Since this is a physical package that will need to be mailed, US addresses only, please!
The cardmaker's pack includes Sundri's High Tea photopolymer stamp set, sticker sheet, and 12 - 6x6" scrapbook papers.  Winner will be chosen and posted on my blog this Friday, the 19th.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Guest Designer

Hello all!    I am back as guest designer over at the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog today.   They have a new challenge theme this week with the theme of Embossing.  Remember, you need to use a die cut to enter their challenge!   Here is what I created for inspiration:
I did both kinds of embossing on this card, both dry and heat embossing.  I stamped the stamps from the SumMore Fun Foxy Lady stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black, then heat embossed them with clear powder.  I then colored the fox in with Spectrum Noir markers (BO3, BO4, MB4).
I wanted the fox to be peeking through an oval, so I die cut graduation ovals out of brown and kraft.  The kraft paper was die cut with a GMD wonky stitched rectangle die, then ran through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 with a woodgrain embossing folder.  The woodgrain really popped by distressing it with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide!  The 40 was die cut with my Cameo using the Bart font.  The only embellishments I added were matte gold brads.
Remember to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog to check out the other DT inspiration and to enter their Embossing challenge!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Confirmation Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses stamps from the Raisin Boat Handle With Prayer stamp set.  The physical stamp set is currently not available, but you can snag the digis to create a card like this one!
Once the stamps were placed on the paper how I liked them, I die cut it with a GMD wonky stitched square die.  I then blended Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, and Fired Brick with makeup brushes to create a sunset appearance.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut around the dove and popped that up with foam tape.  I matted the sunset paper onto a black square and added strips of coordinating washi tape to the card base before adhering the stamped layers.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Tutu Cute Layout

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I made this scrapbook layout of my sweet baby girl using the featured Trendy Twine of the month, Lemon Midnight.
I knew I wanted to document this adorable picture, so I chose papers that matched from DCWV's Country Floral stack.  With the picture on the page, I added Large Tag-Its in white and lemon for documenting the moment.  On the Lemon Large Tag-It, I stamped a sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamp set.  I added the White Large Tag-It on top of the Lemon one, stamped another sentiment from the APB Choose Happy stamp set, then added a Lemon Midnight Trendy Page Dot and Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine to the top.
On the bottom right corner, I added more Lemon Midnight Trendy Twine, a doily, then embellished with Silver and Black Pearl Pen, Cotton Candy Sequins and the inside dots from Lemon Midnight Trendy Page Dots.

You Can Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the SumMore Fun You Can stamp set.  It just so happens to be at a steal of a price of $5.99!
I stamped all of the stamps using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and my stamp platform onto MAMBI breast cancer patterned paper.  For the "YOU CAN" I heat embossed it with Zing silver glitter embossing powder to add a little glitz!  I added Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine to the area between the two patterned papers and dots of Pink Glitter Pearl Pen by the script words.  Now this card is ready to send out for encouragement!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
