25 Cards

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a group of 25 cards that I recently created.  I purchased a set of card bases and envelopes a few years ago from Michaels when it was on sale.  I didn't realize at the time that the card bases were not actually A2 size, they were only 4" wide by 5.5" tall.  So they sat for a long time until I decided to just use them all up at once.  This is the result!

There were 16 thanks cards created.  I was trying to make great use of a 6x6 pad of Fancy Pants paper called Happy-Go-Lucky as well.  As you can see, I cut the paper 3.75" and then cut it 5.25" long.  The extra .75'' paper strip went onto a coordinating paper to create the card base.  I matched up the papers before I started cutting to make sure they would look nice.  I added strips of thin colored tape around the thin strip to keep the layers at a minimum. The thanks die is from Pink and Main.  Two dots of pearl pen in the top right corner finished off the cards.
Next up, I made 8 birthday cards using scraps from the earlier cards and other scraps I had in the paper pad.
These cards were made with mostly the same elements and embellishments except the sentiment.  These utilized Unity Say It Big stamps and dies.  The stamped portion was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder.
For card #25, I took a piece of white cardstock and added the scrap strips from ALL of the previous cards onto it, then trimmed off the edges.  The circle was a patterned vellum and I die cut it with a GMD x stitched circle die.  The Heartfelt Sympathy die was also from GMD and was popped up with foam tape.  I also embellished this card with pearl pen dots, just like all the other cards.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I utilized the set of irregular card bases and also knocked out over half of a 6x6 paper pad!
Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Safari Theme Card Trio (UFO Post #4)

Hello all!  I am back with another unfinished object post today.  This time it was the patterned paper card bases that were sitting on my craft table for a long time.  I just couldn't figure out what to finish the cards off with because safari themes are not my usual.

I based the cutting design of the patterned paper off of THIS One Sheet Wonder die.  It was unavailable to purchase when I was looking to utilize it for cards, so I simply cut the papers in the general same way as the die.  The papers are from Echo Park Animal Safari 6x6.  The ADORABLE giraffe stamp from Kat Scrappiness called Lola the Giraffe was a perfect match!  It was stamped with Scrapbook.com hybrid black ink and colored with Artify alcohol markers.  I die cut around it with a stitched fishtail banner die and added a sentiment from the Raisin Boat No Loss For Words stamp set to it to make them into baby cards.  Some black tape and silver foil enamel dots finished the cards.  Adhesives used include Bearly Art glue and ATG.
I used the reverse side of the papers to create the third card.  It also utilized thin black tape, but I used a postage stamp die and Recollections tropical stickers for the focal point.  The sentiment was also from the Raisin Boat No Loss For Words stamp set and was stamped in black.  The enamel dots I used were from the GMD Tropical Island set.

Sheetload of Birthday Blessings Cards (UFO Post #3)

Hello all!  I am back with another unfinished object (UFO) post.  The only part of these cards that was actually on my crafting table was the light tan paper with the yellow and pink roses stamped on them.  I didn't know what to do with them at first, because I wasn't in love with the look. I am glad I persevered and didn't throw them away, because I love how they turned out!  The layout is based off of the July 2019 SheetLoad of Cards sketch.

The patterned papers are from DCWV's Country Floral stack.  I used metallic rose gold nail art tape to give the appearance of layers, but by using the tape, it made these cards less bulky.  The decorative rose stamps behind the word "blessing" were from a retired SumMore Fun stamp set called A Rose By Any Other Name and were stamped in Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade and Rubber Ducky.
The sentiments were stamped with SB.com Dark Chocolate ink and were from Hero Arts Blessings stamp & cut set.  The small sentiment strips were popped up with thin foam tape for a little extra dimension.  Enamel dots from the GMD Passion Pink Clear set and Pink & Main Birthday Girl set were used on the cards as well.  I ended up with 5 new cards to show for my efforts!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Monochromatic Grad Card

Hello all!  Today is my day to share a project for the Trendy Twine blog.  The Trendy Twine colors of this month are Midnight and Stormy, which work perfectly with all the graduations happening AND are on sale this month!
For the card that I am sharing today, I started with patterned papers from DCWV's Gilded Grey stack and matted and layered those onto a card base.  With the background paper, I thought a "thread nest" would look nice on the card, so I used Stormy Trendy Twine to create that and popped up a sentiment strip over the top of it. The sentiment was from the APB You've Got Mail stamp set and was stamped in black ink.  The die cut grad hat was from the Silhouette Store file number 58783 (graduation banner grad caps) and was cut 3" wide.  The final embellishment was a trio of gold star sequins from the Delightful Sequins mix.  On a side note, the Merry Sequins mix has silver stars that I could have also used, but decided the pop of gold was just right for this card.  The layout of this card was inspired by the February 2020 SheetLoad of Cards sketch.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Coffee Themed Cards (UFO Post #2)

Hello all!  I am back with another Unfinished Object (UFO) post today!  I had both the crimped kraft backgrounds and the stamped panels sitting on my craft room table as parts of random past projects, and I took the time to make them into cards.

I used patterned paper from Echo Park's 6x6 Coffee paper pad since the one stamped sentiment had a coffee theme.  The patterned papers were all scraps that were sandwiched between the pages of the paper pad.
The top card features a stamp from Unity's I Consider You Special stamp set and was stamped in Scrapbook.com Midnight Blue inkGMD slash stitched round square dies were used on the focal point.  I embellished with GMD strawberry shortcake enamel dots.  The bottom card had a Stampabilities "Have Faith" stamp used on it and was stamped in black ink.  I embellished that card with GMD sunset colors enamel dots.  Adhesives of Bearly Art Glue, ATG, and foam tape were used on both cards.

Heartfelt Thanks Nurse Cards

Hello all!  Today is finishing off Nurse's Week.  It is always the first full week in May.  I am a nurse, so when I saw the BB Call the Shots stamp set from MFT, I knew I had to grab it!  I also purchased the set with the male nurse on it (my husband is also a nurse) called BB Super Hero in Scrubs.
These poor cards have been finished for a long time, I just never took the time to photograph them.  Therefore, I am not counting them in my UFO postings/counting because technically they were finished already, but I am happy to have them off my crafting area all the same.  The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Watercolor Daydream paper pad.  I used Totally Sky and Totally White Trendy Twines on the blue cards and Pink Midnight Trendy Twine on the pink cards.
Stitched heart dies were cut and adhered to the card next.  The white heart was popped up with foam tape.  I stamped the nurse from BB Call the Shots with Scrapbook.com hybrid ink, cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut, and colored them with my Artify Alcohol markers.  The sentiment was actually from the BB Super Hero in Scrubs set and was also stamped with black ink.  Additional adhesives used include Bearly Art Glue, and ATG.  A single red gem inside one heart was the finishing touch.
Here is a look at all the cards I created.  I had fun making different looks just by changing what colors of markers I used.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

On to project #5...

This project is extra special because it was created as a collaboration with my 4 year old daughter!  She loves crafting with me and chose all of the elements and colors she wanted to use on this card to send to her cousin.  The butterfly card base was from The Paper Studio.  The Unity Every Day Be Happy stamp was perfect for the card!  It was stamped using Scrapbook.com Midnight Blue ink and my daughter colored in the images with my alcohol markers.  That was matted with navy blue cardstock and adhered to a Posy Large Tag-It that was completed with an In The Navy Trendy Page Dot and Posy Trendy Twine.  The tag was popped up with foam tape onto the card front and a trio of GMD Iris sparkle glitter enamel dots were the finishing touch.
Here is a photo of my daughter holding the card she created!  My niece who was the recipient loved the card too!

I created three of these Mother's Day card to send out and I love the vintage feel they have!  The apron image is from Unity's Sweetness, Miracles, & Wishes (KOM 5/19) stamp set and I stamped it onto patterned paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.  All patterned paper was from The Paper Studio's Measure, Mix, and Stir paper pad.  I fussy cut the apron out and embellished it with a ribbon bow.  The sentiment was from a Unity grab bag and was stamped with VersaMark, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Adhesives used include Bearly Art Glue, ATG, and foam tape.  Other supplies used include a paper doily and button brads.

This navy and yellow sheetload of cards was inspired by the May 2020 Sheetload sketch.  The sentiment stamp is from Unity's I Consider You Special set.  It is a MUST HAVE!!  I have used it so many times.  It was stamped in Scrapbook.com Midnight Blue ink and die cut with a GMD X Stitched Circle die.  Patterned papers are from DCWV's Autumn Leaves stack.
I added a few GMD Twiggy Branches die cuts around the sentiment and a trio of Sunny Yellow Pearl Pen dots to embellish.  Adhesives used include Bearly Art Glue, ATG, and foam tape.  Here is a look at the whole set that I created!

GIU Gal Day #2

Thank you for joining my week of Growing in Unity!  From Monday through Friday I will post a new creation daily that feature stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  Be sure to stop by and comment each day because there will be 2 random winners from my blog comments who will each win a $20 gift credit to Unity!

On to project #2...

I stamped the darling image from Unity's Sweetness, Miracles, & Wishes (KOM 5/19) stamp set onto watercolor paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.  I used several mediums to watercolor the image including shimmer paint, Distress Inks, Glitter Unicorn Spit, and even a little gel pen.  It has lots of shimmer on it!  I layered that panel onto silver glitzy glitter paper, then patterned papers from DCWV's Romantic Life stack.  The sentiment was from the same stamp set, and also on patterned paper.  I used VersaFine Clair Morning Mist for that.  The only embellishment was a trio of gems.  Bearly Art Glue was my adhesive of choice for this card.
As I mentioned earlier, be sure to leave a comment and stop by all week to increase your chances at winning those Unity gift certificates!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Grad Gift Card Holder

Hello all!  Today is my day to share a project for the Trendy Twine blog.  May is here and with it, graduations.  The Trendy Twine colors of this month are Midnight and Stormy, which work perfectly with the graduation theme AND are on sale this month!
I am sharing a graduation notecard/gift card holder.  I started with the envelope.  Non-traditional, I know!  However, I knew I wanted to feature a fun tassel with Midnight Trendy Twine, and used that as a belly band of sorts around the envelope.  A bit of Totally Red Trendy Twine was also on the tassel to bring in the school color of the graduate.  I stamped a grad hat and "23" for the year in the bottom corner of the Kraft Small Envelope.
Now on to the card.  The Cranberry Bracket Card is a flat card, meaning it isn't folded.  I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with white powder then stamped the hats in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.  Both stamps were from the Unity Totally & Utterly Amazing (KOM 5/13) set.  I will hand write a short message on the back of the notecard.
Here you can see that the note card and a gift card will fit perfectly inside the Kraft Small Envelope.  Now all that is left to do is slip the tassel back on the envelope and give it to the graduate!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
