Trendy Bakers Twine~Valentine Treat Packet

Hello all! Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with this sweet treat packet. It is perfect for Valentine's Day or any day to give to someone you love! The main star of this project is a Cranberry Treat Packet and it is embellished with Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine. That twist is the perfect twine for Valentine's Day since it has both red and pink!
As I mentioned, I started with a Cranberry Treat Packet and added strips of paper from Echo Park's Love Notes collection. The top flap was decorated with a die cut from GMD Big & Little Pierced Chain Heart die set. I stamped a sentiment on the heart using the APB You & Me stamp set and SB.com Candy Shop Pink ink. The Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine was woven through the big holes around the outside of the die, tied in a bow at the bottom of the heart, then adhered to the treat packet with foam tape. A trio of Raspberry Cupcake Sequins were the finishing touch! Other adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and mini Glue Dots. Of course, the best part about these treat packets is they come with little zip top bags that are food safe...to which I added Valentine Nerds Gummy Clusters candy. If you haven't tried this candy yet, do yourself a favor and do so. It is delicious and perfect for your valentine projects!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a whole spool of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine, consider the Cherry Cupcake Sampler that includes 10 yards each of Posy, Cherry Cupcake, and Berry Trendy Twines.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~SheetLoad of Valentine's Day Cards

Hello all! Welcome to 2025 and a new post for the Trendy Twine blog! As soon as the new year hits, I love creating for Valentine's Day. Since I send Valentine's Day cards out to family every year, I decided to create a SheetLoad of Cards featuring Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine. That twist is the perfect twine for Valentine's Day since it has both red and pink!
I used the December 2020 SheetLoad of Cards sketch for my cards. Patterned papers are all from Echo Park's Love Notes collection. I thought the papers were absolutely adorable and the Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine matched perfectly!
Once I had the background papers layered, I wrapped Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine around it and adhered it to the card base. The tags were actually a piece of the patterned paper cut apart, but if you wanted to create your own with stamps, Annie's Paper Boutique has a fantastic collection of Tag-Its to choose from! I did punch a hole in the top of each tag, added a Cherry Latte Trendy Page Dot, and ran two lengths of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine through the hole before popping them up with foam tape on the card.
To add a little sparkle, I glued a trio of Peppermint Stick Sequins on each card front. I think these will put a smile on the recipients' faces!

Rose Valentine's Day Cards

Hello all! This is my second batch of Valentine's Day card that I will send out soon.
The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's U+Me paper pad. The sentiment stamp was from the Hero Arts V-day mini messages and was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black. That stamp set was a gift from the amazingly talented Ilda Dias. You can check out her blog HERE.
Now let's get down to the REAL reason for this post...THAT ROSE!! I can't believe how real looking the layered stamps from Crafty Meraki Rose Garden turned out! For the flower, I used Scrapbook.com Rose inks #1-4. For the leaf, I used Scrapbook.com inks in Pear, Olive, and Pine. Some of the layers I did stamp twice for better coverage, so using a stamp platform of some kind is a must with these type of stamps. Seeing each layer add more and more dimension was amazing! I didn't want to waste any part of what I stamped, so I used my precision scissors to cut along the outer edge of the leaf, placed the top of the scalloped heart die under the leaf and proceeded to center the rose within the middle fo the die and die cut it with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. That was adhered with foam tape to the card. I didn't add any additional embellishments because I feel that rose speaks volumes and didn't want to take any attention away from it.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Retro Valentine's Treats

Hello all! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a Valentine's Day treat idea. Medium Candy Bags are the perfect way to package little treats to gift, so that is what I used for today's project. They fit 6 Hershey's hearts perfectly!
As I previously mentioned, I added the chocolates to Medium Candy Bags and dressed them up with a tag. The tag was created with the following products: Posy Large Tag-ItsAPB You & Me stamp set with Color Box Chalk warm red ink, a Candy Cane Trendy Page Dot, patterned paper from Crate Paper's Oh Darling 6x6 paper pad, thin washi tape, Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine, a Round Little Baseball Player Retro Tag, and a Round Little Party Dress Retro Tag. Adhesives used on the tag were Bearly Art precision glue and foam tape.
Once the tags were completed, I used two strands of Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine to wrap around the Medium Candy Bags and through the hole in the tag to tie a bow. Don't those retro tag images just make you smile?!

Dollar Tree Sticker Valentine's Day Cards

I created this group of Valentine's Day cards with the specific purpose to use baeutiful heart stickers that I found at Dollar Tree. I used up the whole sheet which was my goal!
The patterned paper was from The Paper Studio's U+Me paper pad. The ovals were die cut using Cottage Cutz nested stitched scallop oval and stitched oval dies. The stamped sentiment was from Oak Tree Stamps Believe set and the ink used was VersaFine Clair Nocturne
The only embellishment used was white seam binding ribbon. The stickers were layered and had foam tape between the layers. I removed the back layer of foam tape so it would go through the mail a little easier. I used a Glue Dot to stick the heart onto the oval. Other adhesives used include ATGBearly Art precision glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~I {heart} U Card

Hello all! Valentine's Day is next month, so I am gearing up for that holiday. Today's project for the Trendy Twine blog is a card that features Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine, a unique twist of red and pink.
The patterned papers I used are from BoBunny's Love Letters 6x6 paper pad. It has an antique feel to it with creams instead of white. The sentiments are from APB You & Me stamp set. The inks I used were VersaFine Onyx Black and VersaFine Clair Tulip Red. The dies that I used were Elizabeth Craft Designs diagonal stitched fishtails die, and Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies. The fun part of this card was using Bearly Art precision glue and Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine to create the X and O on the banner and the circle and bow around the sentiment. The last addition to the card was a trio of Peppermint Stick Sequins for a bit of bling.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

The Cherry Cupcake Sampler includes Posy, Cherry Cupcake, and Berry Trendy Twine. Perfect for Valentine's Day crafting!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Frozen Valentine Card

Happy Valentine's Day! Today I have a project for the Trendy Twine blog.  I love all the sweet Trendy Twine colors that work for today's holiday.  This time, I am using Totally Raspberry Trendy Twine.
This is a very simple card that my 4 year old daughter wanted to make for 2 of her cousins...hence the total of 3 princesses on the front of the card!  That paper was from an EK Success Frozen paper pad.  She wanted to stamp using APB You & Me stamps and VersaFine Clair Charming Pink ink onto a die cut heart. She picked out and arranged the stamps exactly where she wanted them to go!
Here is a peek at her doing the stamping with the help of a stamp positioning tool.  We adhered the heart to the patterned paper and added accents of Totally Raspberry Trendy Twine to the card before gluing it to the card base.
The finishing touch was the addition of Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems that my daughter also carefully placed.  Remember, involve your kids, grandkids, or volunteer at schools or libraries to instill the love of crafting into young minds!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Roses Treat Bag

Good morning! Today I have a project for the Trendy Twine blog.  I am working on Valentine's Day projects and love all the sweet Trendy Twine colors that work for that occasion. Today I am using Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine, but be sure to look at all the fun Valentine's Day items at Annie's Paper Boutique.
I decorated this beautiful treat bag that will hold candy, cookies, or even a set of handmade cards!  I started with a Large Pink Glassine Bag and adhered die cuts from Sizzix Floral Lattice Thinlits to it.  I used Bearly Art precision tip glue to adhere a frame of Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine around the die cuts.
I folded the flap of the bag shut, punched holes and added Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dots plus a White Tag-It with a heart from the APB You & Me stamp set stamped in pink. I tied the bag shut with 3 strands of Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.  The finishing touch was several Pink Diamonds Sparkling Gems glued with Bearly Art glue all over the bag and tag.  Now I just have to find the perfect treat to add to the bag!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Coffee and Donuts Valentine

Good morning and happy new year! Today I have a project for the Trendy Twine blog.  I am in Valentine's Day mode and can't get over all the sweet Trendy Twine colors that work for that occasion. Today I am using Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine, but be sure to look at all the fun Valentine's Day items at Annie's Paper Boutique.
I started this card by stamping on a piece of white cardstock.  The images were stamped with Scrapbook.com black hybrid ink from the Perfect Pairs stamp set, which is one of my all time favorites for CUTENESS!  The sentiments were from the We Go Together stamp set.  Both of those sets are on sale this month, so grab them while they are marked down!  I colored the images with Artify alcohol markers to match the twine I planned to use.  The front panel was made with various cardstocks, then I die cut a heart out of it.  Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine in an X with a bow was a great way to fill in the blank space on the kraft color.  I added one layer of fun foam behind the front panel before gluing the stamped panel to the back.  The foam added just enough dimension to allow Raspberry Cupcake sequins to be tucked in and glued around the heart.  Adhesive used was Bearly Art precision tip glue.  A few more Raspberry Cupcake sequins and black glitter enamel dots in the bottom right corner made the card complete!  Don't you just love how the Trendy Twine and the heart give the appearance of XO on the card?  Perfect for your valentine!
