Tag Tuesday~Christmas Treat Bag

Hello all! I am back with another Tag Tuesday project for the Trendy Twine blog. I know Christmas is months away yet, but I am one that loves to plan ahead so I have time to make something personalized instead of waiting until the last minute, overwhelmed. The shining star of today's project is a darling Christmas Visitors Retro Tag.
This project was very simple! I grabbed a Mini Kraft Paper Bag, stamped on it with a stamp from the Merry & Bright stamp set and VersaFine Clair ink. In the future, I will use dye ink, not pigment on the kraft bags because the oils in the pigment ink created a slight shadow effect around the sentiment. After turning the top flap over, I simply adhered the top of the Christmas Visitors Retro Tag and two banners made from scrap pieces of patterned paper. I then tied a double bow of Holly Berry Trendy Twine to a Mini Wooden Clothespin to hold the bag shut. Now it is ready to fill with Christmas treats, a small gift, or a gift card! Simple, yet cute!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Halloween Tag Art Collection

Hello all!  It is definitely getting cooler, so fall and Halloween are on my mind!  Aqua Licorice Trendy Twine, one of our featured twines of the month, works perfectly for both of those themes.  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog sharing a Halloween tag art collection.
All of the patterned papers used are from G45's Steampunk Spells 8x8" pad. I used the colors within it for inspiration for the entire project!  I started with a Manila Library Pocket and decorated it with patterned paper that was wrapped with Aqua Licorice Trendy Twine. I used Scor-tape to adhere the patterned papers. The flower was made by die cutting flower layers, spritzing them with water, crumpling them up, then letting them dry and layering them with a brad. To embellish, I glued Spellbinding Sequins to the front and tied a key on with a bow of Aqua Licorice Trendy Twine.
It go inside the library pocket, I created three tags.  The first was a Lemon Tag-It decorated with an Aqua Midnight Trendy Page DotAqua Licorice Trendy Twine, and a panel from the paper pad.
Next up, a Sky Bracket Card with a panel from the patterned paper, a stamped sentiment from the APB Happy Halloween stamp set, and a bat sequin from the Spellbinding Sequins mix.
Lastly, I embellished a Mango Chunky Tag-It with another patterned paper panel and attached aqua ribbon from the Chevron Ribbon Sampler with a staple at the top of the tag.  This project was a little out of my comfort zone, but I absolutely loved creating it!  Wouldn't it be FABULOUS with shabby chic or elegant feminine themes?  I'd love to see if you try this idea with different twists!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Vintage Car Card

Hello all! Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a special post. It happens to be Lesley's dad's 80th birthday today, and this is the card that I created for him.  Join us in wishing him all the best on his special day!
One of the things Tom likes is vintage cars, so I knew this Unity Stamp Co. image would be a great focal point for the card!  It was stamped in Scrapbook.com Dark Chocolate ink and accented with white colored pencil.  Both the image and patterned paper panels were die cut with GMD wonky stitched rectangle dies.  The fun license plate paper is from DCWV's Treasure stack.  Around the patterned paper, I wrapped orange ribbon from the Chevron Ribbon Sampler and Totally Chocolate Trendy Twine. I then adhered that layer to the background with scor-tape. After that, I added the car panel with foam tape.  For a sentiment, I used a Petite Kraft Metal Rim Tag on which I stamped words from the Hello Fall Planner Stamp Set in dark chocolate ink.  Once that was glued to the front, I also embellished with two square brads in the top left corner.  I hope Tom enjoys this card and has a birthday filled with joy!

Tag Tuesday~Scarecrow Tag

Hello all! For the remainder of the year, I am going to be on the Trendy Twine blog featuring quick tag ideas using products from Annie's Paper Boutique.  This week, I am sharing a simple fall tag with a sweet scarecrow on it.
I started with a Kraft Chunky Tag-It and stamped a sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set using Twilight VersaFine Clair ink.  I used a Round Scarecrow No. 2 Vintage Inspired Tag as the focal point.  It was matted with navy blue paper that was die cut with a GMD x-stitched circle die.  Isn't that scarecrow adorable?!  It comes with lovely inked edges that add such a sweet vintage feel to it.  I popped it up with foam tape onto the tag.  At the top of the tag, I added Dark Citrus Trendy Twine and a bow of Totally Navy Trendy Twine, then finished it off with Blue Berry sequins and Chocolate Truffle sequins adhered with Bearly Art precision tip glue.  Didn't it turn out cute?

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Sheetload of Gaming Cards

Hello all! I am back on the Trendy Twine blog with a SheetLoad of gaming cards for all of the boy birthdays I have coming up in our family!  It worked out great with the Trendy Twine featured this month, Aqua Midnight Trendy Twine.
I used papers from The Paper Studio's Boy paper pad with the August 2023 SheetLoad of Cards sketch to create these 8 cards.  I thought Tag-Its were the perfect blank slate to use as a focal point on them.  For half of the cards, I used Lemon Tag-Its, stamped the sentiment from the Smile stamp set in black, added a Aqua Midnight Trendy Page DotAqua Midnight Trendy Twine, and a fussy cut video game controller from the patterned paper.  The tag was popped up with foam tape and I added a trio of Blue Berry Sequins around it.
For the other half of the cards, I made the focal point in very much the same way with the exception of using Leaf Green Tag-Its instead of the Lemon ones.  I also placed it on a different area of the card front.
Here is a look at all 8 of the cards I created.  I really love how they turned out and will be great for all video game loving kids.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Lemonade Card

Hello all!  It has been a while since I have had a blog post.  Different things in life have been very challenging lately, which necessitated the break.  Hopefully, I will be able to post a little more now, starting with a post for the Trendy Twine blog.  This month we are are featuring the summery twists of Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine and Cherry Lemonade Trendy Twine.  My lemonade card has Cherry Lemonade Trendy Twine on it.
I personally think lemonade is a sign of summer, so my mind automatically went there with these colors of Trendy Twine.  Luckily, I had these stamps from Unity's Totally and Utterly Amazing set that were perfect for that theme!  Once the image was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne onto watercolor paper, I watercolored it with Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Weathered Wood, and Mowed Lawn.  I corner chomped the corners and glued it to a Lemon Bracket Card.  Those cards are flat, so they also work perfectly as layers on cards or scrapbook layouts!  After putting a thin line of Bearly Art glue around the image, I lined it with Lemonade Trendy Twine and added a bow in the bottom right corner and popped it onto the card with foam tape.  The sentiment panel also had Lemonade Trendy Twine wrapped around it and was popped up with foam tape.  The finishing touch on the card was a trio of Frosted Cranberry Sequins adhered with mini Glue Dots.

SheetLoad of UFO Cards

Hello all!  Yes, I am still working diligently on all of my unfinished projects.  This set is a SheetLoad of Cards from the February 2022 sketch.
The patterned papers I used were some that I have received years ago in a paper exchange, so I don't know what brand they are.  I did have a big crafting mishap with these cards.  Last year, I purchased several of these Sticky Thumb adhesive rollers from American Crafts.  I used them to adhere the papers on one another and then these cards sat for months on my desk without being finished.  I am glad I didn't finish them right away, because the adhesive became brittle and cracked apart if the paper moved at all!  The image below is what the papers looked like.  You can see exactly where the adhesive was, but it was hard and detatched from the other paper, even though it was super duper sticky to begin with.  I absolutely DO NOT recommend that adhesive!  I ended up redoing everything with Bearly Art precision tip glue because I knew that would stick with no trouble.
The stamp I used was from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and used Scrapbook.com Leather ink to stamp it. The finishing touch was a flower die cut.
Here is a look at all the cards I created!  I was able to get 7 cards instead of 6 because of the non-directional print of the paper and used the scraps to get card #7.  If you are interested in seeing all the other UFO posts I have been working on, you can CLICK HERE.

SheetLoad of Anniversary Cards

Good morning!  Today I am back with another SheetLoad of cards.  This time it is a set of anniversary cards.  These were created using the May 2022 SheetLoad sketch from Call Me Crafty Al.
The patterned paper and stickers used are from the Echo Park 12x12" Just Be You kit. I have made several cards from this kit, and you can see them HEREHEREHERE, and most recently, HERE.  That makes at least 33 cards from that kit!!
The card above uses a sticker and the one below is a die cut heart from those papers.  Adhesives used were ATG, fun foam, and Bearly Art precision glue.  The sentiment was stamped with Scrapbook.com Midnight Blue ink with a stamp from My Sentiments Exactly, Anniversary Innies & Outies set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Disney Inspired Cards (UFO Post #7)

Hello again!  I am back with more UFO!  I'm telling you, it feels great knocking these projects out of the way :)  If the layout of these look familiar, it is because I made THESE CARDS with the same cuts.  I loved these papers, but couldn't think of a way to finish them off, so they sat on my desk for too long.
I based the cutting design of the patterned paper off of THIS One Sheet Wonder die. It was unavailable to purchase when I was looking to utilize it for cards, so I simply cut the papers in the general same way as the die.  The patterned papers are from Simple Stories Say Cheese.  I used black tape to line the center strip of paper for more definition.  The image panel was die cut using Pink Fresh Studio label dies, and SVG for the Minnie (and Mickey).  The stamp was from Echo Park's Smiles from Ear to Ear stamp set and was stamped in Scrapbook.com Cardinal Red ink.  I added metal stars to embellish.
The remaining banners of paper from the above cards were turned into these simple thank you cards.
Adhesives used for all cards include Bearly Art glue and ATG.  The stamp used on these three cards is a retired Victorine Originals stamp.  If you are interested in checking out my other UFO posts, you can do so HERE.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~SheetLoad of Red, White, & Blue Cards

Hello all!  This month we are sharing patriotic projects on the Trendy Twine blog.  It is always fun to use the patriotic twines of Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine and Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine!  Today I am sharing a SheetLoad of red, white, & blue cards!
I decided to make a set of cards that could be used in a patriotic way, but also more versatile.  I decided to use the March 2023 SheetLoad of Cards sketch and paper from the BoBunny Celebrating Freedom 6x8 paper pad for today's 8 cards.  The sentiment is from the Greetings stamp set and was stamped in SB.com midnight blue ink.  Once that strip was adhered onto the white/patterned paper panel, I wrapped a length of Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine above and below it.  Using a strong double sided tape, I adhered that panel to the card base.
To embellish, I die cut flowers out of solid cardstock and popped them up with foam tape to the left of the sentiment.  A trio of small gems finished off the card.  Here is a look at all 8 cards!  I enjoyed rotating the papers through all four areas of the card to make different looks.  Now these can be sent out as party invitations OR birthday cards!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

These patriotic samplers are a wonderful way to get several colors of Trendy Twine and are on sale this month!  Each color is ten yards in length and is wound on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
