Trendy Bakers Twine~Floral Happy Birthday Card

Hello all and happy Tuesday! I am sharing this floral Happy Birthday card on the Trendy Twine blog today.   This card is a little different than my usual posts because this is a card that my 5 year old wanted to make for me!
He asked me what papers I wanted for my card, and I picked out these fun papers from DCWV's Flower Shop stack.  He loves using Trendy Twine on projects, and this month's Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine matched the paper perfectly!  He die cut the layers with GMD stitched rectangle and GMD scalloped stitched rectangle dies.  The Happy Birthday sentiment was from APB Smile stamp set.  We wrapped the Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine around the sentiment paper and also threaded it through the button at the top of the card.  The final embellishment he wanted to add were GMD Rose Garden enamel dots.
Here he is so proud of the card he made for me (even though he had a little help 😉)!

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Make sure to check out  February's Treat Packaging Bundle!  Isn't it adorable?  Hurry, this is only available for a couple more days.

HTV Onesie

Good Monday Morning! I am on the SVG Attic blog today with this onesie I personalized with Heat Transfer Vinyl.  I made it for a gift for a co-worker who recently had a baby.
I used the Flower Split Monogram J from SnapDragon Snippets and cut that out in lavender HTV.  Make sure you flip your image before cutting!  I used my heat press to add that to the onesie first.
Next, I used a font called Siena CG and wrote out the baby's name.  I flipped it in my software and cut it out of purple HTV.  I once again heat pressed it to the onesie.  I think it turned out sweet!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

GIU Gal ~ Day 5

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week!  Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  I am choosing different coloring/stamping methods to share with you throughout this week. Today's technique is smooshing Distress Oxide inks to "color" an image.
I started with Canson XL Watercolor Paper and stamped the globe and sentiment stamp from Unity's Unexpected Places KOM 2/17 in black on it.  I used my Distress Oxide inks in Lucky Clover, Fossilized Amber, and Broken China and smeared them one at a time on my craft mat, spritzing the area with water.  I then used a piece of acetate to pick up the ink from my mat and lay it down on the card front.  When it looked how I wanted it, I dried the ink with my heat tool.  I cut around the image with a GMD wonky stitched rectangle die.  Embellishments include enamel dots and Aqua Midnight Trendy Twine.

GIU Gal ~ Day 4

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week! Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  I am choosing different coloring/stamping methods to share with you throughout this week.  Today's technique is blending Distress Oxide inks and stamping with water.
I started with an A2 size of Canson XL Watercolor Paper and used my Distress Oxide inks starting in the center of the paper with Seedless Preserves, then working outward in a circle, I added Wilted Violet, then Faded Jeans.  The Mandala stamp I used is from Unity's Unexpected Places KOM 2/17.  I placed it on my stamping tool and spritzed it with water and stamped it onto the inked paper, leaving it set for a minute or two.
I also splattered water on the panel creating the oxidized look.  I cut the panel in half to make the front and the back of the bookmark.  I inked the edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.  On the front, I stamped a sentiment from the Unexpected Places KOM 2/17 using VersaMagic Cloud White ink.  Last of all, I punched a hole in the top and added a ribbon.

Bicycle Happy Birthday Card

If you are looking for my GIU gal post, click HERE.

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses a stamp set from Victorine Originals called Bicycles Set with Penny Farthing.
I used patterned papers from DCWV's Hello Darlin' stack.  I stamped on the wood grain paper with the square shaped bicycle stamp using brown ink.  It created a great background!  I stamped the focal point bicycle in brown as well and then die cut around it.  The sentiment is from Victorine Originals' Floral & Sayings stamp set.  That was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with gold powder.  I embellished with a bow of Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine and GMD Mai Tai enamel dots.
Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

GIU Gal ~ Day 3

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week! Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  I am choosing different coloring/stamping methods to share with you throughout this week.  Today I am sharing white embossing on white paper with watercoloring.
I started by using Canson XL Watercolor paper and stamping the beautiful floral image from the Unity In Love With Love KOM 6/14 with VersaMark and embossing with white powder.  I used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Milled Lavender, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, and Peacock Feathers with an aqua brush for the image.  I then went around the image with Weathered Wood Distress Ink to create a shadow effect.  I splattered some inks around the image as well.  The sentiment is from a Unity grab bag.  I cut that panel out with a GMD stitched rectangle die and layered it with a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die cut.

GIU Gal ~ Day 2

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week! Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  I am choosing different coloring/stamping methods to share with you throughout this week.  Today's technique is white colored pencil on kraft.
I stamped the Unity Hey There...Wise Guy stamps in black on a large kraft tag-it and simply shaded in areas with a white colored pencil.  I then distressed the edges of the tag with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and added a Trendy Page Dot and Totally Black Trendy Twine to the tag.  The card base features patterned papers from DCWV's Treasures stack, burlap ribbon and GMD Sophisticated Enamel dots.

GIU Gal ~ Day 1

I am so excited and honored to be the Growing in Unity Gal this week! Each day I will post a creation I have made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  I am choosing different coloring/stamping methods to share with you throughout this week.

Since yesterday was my birthday, I went with a birthday themed card to share for Day #1.
The focal point on this card is the delicious cupcake tower stamp from the Unity KOM 2/17 Unexpected Places.  I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then colored the image with colored pencils and die cut around it with a GMD scalloped stitched rectangle.  The patterned papers are from Dear Lizzy Neapolitan 6x6 paper pad.  I embellished with a yellow/white ribbon and GMD Mai Tai enamel dots.

SumMore Fun Mood Board #22

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
I started with the Large Stemmed Daisy (2151-H) stamp.  I stamped it in black and used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to fussy cut around it, and to create the shadow layer behind it as well.  I also used that daisy stamp with Distress Oxide inks in Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple, and Fired Brick to create the floral background on the card base.  I added a Kaisercraft Mandala Die Cut onto the card base and then popped the daisy up on that.  I watercolored the daisy with Distress Oxide inks.

I stamped the Kindness is to the Heart What Sunshine is to the Flowers sentiment onto vellum using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and embellished with enamel dots.
Here is a look at the current mood board:

You can enter using the theme, pictures, or colors. Lots of choices! Head on over to the SumMore Fun blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s. We can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello all and Happy Valentine's Day!  The Trendy Twine DT have projects to share with you on the Twine It Up blog, so stop over there for wonderful inspiration.  Here is what I created to share with you today.
I started with a kraft card base and scored around all four sides to add a little visual interest.  I wanted the Wee Glassine Envelope to be the focal point of this card, so I kept the rest of the card simple.  I added several die cut hearts in red and pink in the Wee Glassine Envelope and floating above it.  I also stamped hearts in white from the You & Me planner stamp set.  I wrapped Cherry Latte Trendy Twine around the card front and the glassine envelope.  I just love the look of kraft and red together!  The final touches were the sentiment in black ink from the You & Me planner stamp set and some white gel pen doodling.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Washi Tape Valentine Card

I had to make a couple more Valentine's Day cards, and I wanted them to be quick!  Washi tape to the rescue!
I added washi tape from Oriental Trading and Michaels to the white rectangle panel, then added a die cut square on top with foam tape that had a heart cut out of the middle so the tape can show through.  The sentiment is from Victorine Originals and the only embellishment were GMD Patriotic Sparkle enamel dots.

Key to my Heart Card

Good Monday Morning!  I am on the SVG Attic blog today with this non-traditionally colored Valentine's Day card.
I used SnapDragon Snippets svg files including Heart Doily Key Ornament, and Doily Loopy.  I sized them to fit on the front of an A2 card.  The papers I used are from Fancy Pants' Country Boutique 6x6 paper pad and I embellished with Krazy For Kraft Trendy Twine and GMD Sophisticated enamel dots.  The sentiment stamp is from Victorine Originals.  Adhesives used include ATG, foam tape, and Lineco Adhesive in a precision tip bottle.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Rustic Valentine Card

I needed to make several Valentine's Day cards for family, and I was procrastinating.  Eeek!  When I found the Denim & Pearls stack at Hobby Lobby (for only $5!) I decided I would go with a rustic Valentine theme this year.  Here is what I ended up creating.
I used stitched and scalloped stitched heart dies to create the focal point. The small hearts were popped up with thin foam tape.  The sentiment is from Victorine Originals.
I made 6 of this style of card, so I would have to say that that bargain for the stack has already paid off!  Here is a peek of the 12x12 stacks I got for 75% off when I went to Hobby Lobby last week.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Valentine Treat Box

Hello all and happy Thursday!   I am sharing this sweet Valentine treat box I created on the Trendy Twine blog today.
I started with a Kraft Window Box and stamped on it with APB You & Me planner stamps using Distress Oxide inks in Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry as well as VersaMagic Cloud White ink.  When the inks were dry, I added the peanut M&M's, wrapped the box with Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and added a Pink Tag-It.  The Tag-It is decorated with a Pink Midnight Trendy Page DotJust For You print and punch tag, and Chocolate Truffle Sequins.
I used all of the elements from February's Treat Packaging Bundle on this project!  I just love how well these go together.  Perfect for Valentine's Day or party favors!
