Memory Keeping with Annie's Paper Boutique

Hello all!  Today the Trendy Twine DT has some memory keeping projects to share with you.  Hop on over to the Trendy Twine blog for the other inspiration!
This project is a very personal one for me.  I guess you could say that this is a huge reason why it is so important to DO memory keeping posts!  My baby girl was born in July very unexpectedly.  She wasn't due for another 5 weeks.  Everything happened so fast that there was no time for steriods to help develop her lungs, so she had periods of apnea and subsquently was flown to a NICU where she spent the first three weeks of her life.  This is the very beginning of her story!
The stamps from Feeling Funny and Feeling Happy were perfect to document the wide range of emotions that we went through that day and the days following.  I also used stamps from Documenting the Everyday and Documenting the Everyday #2 for the words on the Kraft Mini Seed Packet and Card and the green arrows on the "Feeling" journaling area.  I also added a Hello Fall Trendy Page Dot to the kraft card along with Twisted Lime Trendy Twine.  The inks I used were VersaFine Onyx Black, and Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Abandoned Coral and Fossilized Amber.
Of course, I added a picture of baby Autumn that I took when they wheeled her into my hospital room.  She was in the isolette, intubated and with an IV.  It was very hard seeing her like that!  I added Totally Lemon Trendy Twine and Twisted Lime Trendy Twine to embellish the Layout.
Last, but not least, I added several Pink Diamond Sparkling Gems around the flowers on the paper.  All the papers used are from DCWV's Flower Shop stack.
Remember to stop by the Trendy Twine blog for more memory keeping inspiration.

Annie's Paper Boutique is running a fantastic sale of all four of the stamp sets I used on this layout page.  Free Domestic shipping is included!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SumMore Fun Monthly Challenge #1

Good morning and welcome to SumMore Fun's brand new challenge!  There are some big changes with this challenge so read on carefully...
From this challenge onward we will be moving to one challenge a month.  Each challenge will have a theme, this may be a technique for you to try or a physical theme.  We are no longer expecting you to link your blog post to our challenge post.  We have a great new Facebook fan group called SumMore Fun Creations. All entries should be placed in the album labelled Monthly Challenge #1 26th Oct in this group which can be found by clicking the link above.  This means even if you don't have a blog you can now join in!!

On to our first monthly challenge:
This month's theme is All Dressed Up

Here is what I created for inspiration using Raisin Boat's Canines In Costume stamp set.
I stamped the image and sentiment with black ink on heavy cardstock using my stamp platform.  Using Distress Inks and my aqua brush, I watercolored the image.  When it was dry, I added Glitter Pink Pearl Pen to the hat buckle, collar, and pumpkin for a little extra shine and glitter!  I die cut around the stamped area with a postage stamp die once the pearl pen was completely dry.  The card base was decorated with papers from DCWV's Eek-A-Boo stack, Trick Or Treat Trendy Twine, and Ice White Pearl Pen.  I then adhered the stamped panel to the card base with foam tape.
Now it is time for you to link up your "All Dressed Up" creations in the SumMore Fun Creations Facebook group!  You have a whole month to do so.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Christmas Wreath Card

Good Morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses the brand new SumMore Fun Tangled Tinsel stamp set and my stamp platform.  I just love how versatile those stamps are!
I used the pine bough and two different colors of green ink using the "wreath builder" technique to make the base of the wreath.  Then I stamped the berry sprig in red.  The final touch on the wreath was to stamp the bow in red as well!  I added red and iridescent Stickles in the berries.  The wreath was die cut around with stitched circle dies.
The background papers were from The Paper Studio's Rustic Noel paper pad.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder, then added three dots of gold Stickles next to it.
This card follows the Sketch Challenge SumMore Fun has going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it.

Batty Treat Holder

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  I created this fun Halloween treat holder to share with you.
The file I used to create it is the Bat Handle Candy Bar Tote.  It is quite simple to assemble, but if you get stuck, Jodi has a great tutorial for it HERE.  The paper I used to create it are from DCWV's Spooky Halloween stack.
This holds 6 fun or mini sized candy bars, three in front and three in back.  As you can see, I did a mixture of those sizes.  I embellished with Lime Licorice Trendy Twine and GMD Citrus Twist enamel dots.  Now this is ready to give to someone special for Halloween!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Witchy Mini Popcorn Box

Hello all and happy Thursday!  I am sharing the fun treat box I made for the Trendy Twine blog today. This month we are showcasing Gray Licorice Trendy Twine, which is perfect for Halloween!
This whole project was based around the sentiment from the APB Happy Halloween stamp set that I thought was so much fun!  So, I started with a Black Mini Popcorn Box, wrapped Gray Licorice Trendy Twine around it and added a witch hat tag I cut out from SVG Attic.  I added Totally Grape Trendy Twine for the hat band and a curlicue of Gray Licorice Trendy Twine at the top of the hat and sentiment tags.  To create the curls, I cut a section of Trendy Twine, saturated it in liquid fabric starch, wrapped it around a paintbrush handle and let it to dry.  Very simple, yet it adds a different visual flair to the finished product.

Three Sheet Halloween Cards

Good morning all!  Today I am sharing a collection of 12, yes, 12 different Halloween cards that were made with a few sheets of cardstock from DCWV's new Spooky Halloween stack.
All of the 3"x4" image panels on the cards were cut from one sheet of paper.  The background panels were cut from 2 sheets of paper.  They are double sided, so I had 4 patterns to choose from to compliment the image panels.  So all of these card only used 3 sheets of 12x12 cardstock from that stack!
I die cut rectangles out of black cardstock to matte some of the image panels, but others I left by themselves.  I popped the image panels up with fun foam.
For embellishments, I kept it very simple, only adding dots of Nuvo Drops, Stickles, Pearl Pen or sequins.  These were really fun to create and extremely quick too!
Here is a flip through video of the DCWV Spooky Halloween stack.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SumMore Fun Sketch Challenge

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is the start of a new challenge at SumMore Fun.  This time, it is a sketch challenge.  You can see it at the end of this post.  I created this card with the brand new You Can stamp set that was just released yesterday!  I love that this set is directed towards cancer encouragement, but can be used for so much more.
I made a panel of white cardstock and stamped the YOU CAN sentiment using Distress Oxides in Candied Apple, Broken China, and Twisted Citron and my stamp platform.  I used washi tape to mask off the letters I didn't want stamped, then removed the washi tape after the ink was on the stamp and stamped!  I then added patterned paper on the lower portion of the panel.
The circles were die cut using stitched circle dies.  I stamped the "do it" sentiment in black, then added dots of Glossy Accents around it on the blue circle.  Both the blue circle and the whole You Can panel were popped up with fun foam.
Here is the sketch to use to join our challenge:

Here is a look at the new You Can stamp set that I used!

SumMore Fun Release Day!

Hello all!  Today is the day you have been waiting for!  All of the new stamp sets that we have been sharing sneak peeks of are available in the SumMore Fun store!  I have one more card to share today that uses the new Tangled Tinsel stamp set.
I started by stamping the tree bough in three different greens at the top of my card, then added the red bows coming down from it.  I added "lights" on the tree with rainbow glossy dots and Glitter Pink Pearl Pen.  The fun part about that pearl pen is that it normally is clear with glitter, but on distress oxides, it picked up the color of the ink, making those dots green with the glitter!
The ornaments and sentiment were stamped on paper from Pebbles' Merry Merry paper pad in black and embossed with black powder.  I fussy cut around them and adhered them in line with the bows, popping the striped ornament up with foam tape.

Here is a close up of the Tangled Tinsel stamp set that I used on today's card:

SumMore Fun Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ You Can

Hello all!  Welcome to the new release week for SumMore Fun!  All the stamp sets you see will be available on Thursday, October 11th.  Today we get to showcase the new stamp set called You Can.  *EDITED to add the You Can stamp set is now available HERE.   Here is the card I created from it.
I started by stamping the large "YOU CAN" sentiment with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink onto cardstock from MAMBI breast cancer paper pad.  As always, I used the stamp platform to do so!  I added clear embossing powder on the sentiment and heat embossed it.  It created a subtle marbling effect on the letters, as you can see in the picture below.
I stamped the ribbon from the You Can set in Picked Raspberry DO as well, then the "beat this" sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black over the top of that.  I die cut that with a doily die and popped that up with foam tape.  The finishing embellishment was a drop of Pearl Pink Pearl Pen on either end of the black strip in the middle of the card.

Make sure to hop on over to the SumMore Fun blog for all of the other inspiration cards from this stamp set and to see the PRIZES being given away this week!

SumMore Fun Sneak Peek Day 2 ~Tangled Tinsel

Hello all!  Welcome to the new release week for SumMore Fun!  All the stamp sets you see will be available on Thursday, October 11th.  Today we get to showcase the new stamp set called Tangled Tinsel.  Here is the card I created from it.
I made it a shaker card by adhering a few layers of fun foam behind the purple circle and adding coordinating sequins.   The ornament and sentiment are part of the Tangled Tinsel set and were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
These lovely snowflakes were also a stamp from that set. I randomly stamped them in gray ink, and Distress Oxides in Broken China, Wilted Violet, and Seedless Preserves.   To embellish, I glued on some sequins and Pearl Pen in Glitter Pink.

Make sure to hop on over to the SumMore Fun blog for all of the other inspiration cards from this stamp set and to see the PRIZES being given away this week!
