Sweet Treats Halloween Card

I just wanted to share this quick Halloween card with you today.  I let the paper do all the work on this one.  No die cuts *gasp* LOL!  I know, that almost never happens with my projects!  Miranda from Nana's Scrap Spot so generously sent me this paper along with other Halloween goodies.  She is such a sweet and crafty lady!  The paper is a 6x6 pad by Me & My Big Ideas.
A stamped sentiment, button and twine finished it off!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

P.S.  I also wanted to share SVG Attic's newest FREE set!  Isn't it gorgeous? To get Autumn Splendor free, add a minimum of $9.98 to your shopping cart, then add this new set to your cart and use the coupon code FREE on step two of the checkout process!

Coffin Treat Box

Halloween is only a month away, and I have been working on some spooky projects!  Today I am sharing a coffin treat box that I made using files from the Happy Haunt Halloween Party Kit from SVG Attic.
I think this turned out so cute!  Okay, not really cute, well maybe in a spooky kind of way LOL!  All of the patterned papers are from DCWV's Bewitched stack.
For embellishments on top of the coffin, I used a little burlap, twine and buttons.
For the inside treat I went old school...I made these treats when I was young!  They are a sucker wrapped in tissue paper.  I added googly eyes, drew on the mouth and tied the bow tie with more twine.
Here is a closeup of the tombstone that is also included in the SVG kit.  It made the perfect addition to the tombstone.  How awesome would these be as place cards for a Halloween party?!  Or it could be used as a greeting card because the back opens up just like a card.  The possibilities with this set are endless!

If you are stumped with what to make for Halloween, check out SVG Attic's Halloween section.  I am sure you will be inspired by something there!  Plus their files are 50% off for a limited time, so it is the perfect time to pick some up.  Their newest kit, Autumn Splendor compliments this set perfectly!

Washi Tape Halloween Card

I am inspired so much by cards that I see on Pinterest.  I was inspired to make this card after seeing this one.  Of course, I don't have any Halloween washi tape, but I had these colors of regular washi tape, so I ran with the idea.
I used taupe embroidery floss to wrap around the card front and added the bat from the What's Brewin' set at SVG Attic.  I cut it out three times at 1.5", glued them all together so it would be more like chipboard.  Then I added a few highlights with a white gel pen and covered it with glossy accents.  Isn't he the perfect finishing touch to the card?
If you are stumped with what to make for Halloween, check out SVG Attic's Halloween section.  I am sure you will be inspired by something there!  Plus their files are 50% off for a limited time, so it is the perfect time to pick some up.  This is their newest kit, Ghoulish Goody Bags and Boxes.

John Deere Wedding Tile

Today I am sharing more of my ceramic tiles with you.  These both were created for the same couple, but of course only one was actually given to them as their wedding gift.  The John Deere one is the one they ended up receiving.
The story of the two tiles is really quite humorous actually.  I made this one first, using a file from My Vinyl Designer.  I have tiles that I sell on display at St. James Marketplace and I brought this one there so people could see this style of tile as it was a new one.  Much to my surprise, since Haselhorst is not a common name around there, it sold!  I was just hoping and praying it wasn't going to the same couple LOL!  So I did some asking around and thankfully it wasn't going to them, so I made the John Deere one for them since he is really big into that.
On both of these tiles I used Oracal 631 vinyl that I purchased from H&H Sign Supply.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Soon to be Mrs. Card

I made this card for a bridal shower using cutting files from the Love Always SVG Kit by SVGCuts.  The only thing I changed up was the sentiment.  I made these words in SCAL2 to fit the card.  I used the Black Currant paper stack by DCWV.  That is one of my favorite stacks!  I love how the magenta flowers are foiled on this paper.  It really adds a lot of visual interest.
A close-up of that 3D diamond :)  All sparkly and shiny with glitter...

Wedding Cake Card

Hi everyone, I wanted to share this card with you that I made as a request for a friend of mine.  The wedding colors were purple and teal, so that is what I went with for the card.  The card is from the Love Always SVG Kit from SVGCuts.
Here is a closeup of the cake.  I added a B on the top for the couple's last name and embossed all the cake layers with a border embossing folder.  Then I added the flowers and rhinestones.  I added tan chalk around the cake layers, the banner and the outside of the card for a little added dimension.
Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Fall Apple Card

I am back with another card that definitely has a fall feel to it, but it could easily be used as a card for a teacher as well with the lined background paper and the apples.  My son's teacher has a birthday this month and I think this is the card I am going to give her.   For this card, I used Authentique paper called Seasons Autumn.  The cut files are from SVGAttic.  The card base and scalloped layer are from the Fall Celebration Kit, as well as the wheat sheaf in on the left side.
The basket with apples is from the Apple Picking collection.  I finished the basket off with some chocolate truffle Trendy Twine.
The sentiment is also from the Apple Picking collection.  Both the sentiment and the bushel basket are popped up with foam tape.
If this card gets you in the fall spirit, check out the latest SVG kit from SVG Attic, called Nevermore.
To get this set free, add a minimum of $9.98 to your shopping cart, then add this new set to your cart and use the coupon code FREE on step two of the checkout process!

Fall Pumpkin Card

Before I start with my card, I just have to share that this is my 100th blog post!  It is hard to believe that I have reached that number already!  I hope you have enjoyed my blogging journey thus far.

For my card, I used SVG's from SVGAttic.  The card base and scalloped layer (fence) are all from the Fall Celebration Kit.  I cut them at the imported size except for the scalloped border.  For that I kept the width the same, but stretched the length to 2.6" so it would resemble a picket fence.  I embossed it with a striped embossing folder and then inked it with tan chalk for a rustic look.
The pumpkins and crow are from the Pumpkin Patch SVG Collection.  Aren't they adorable??  I love the way the pumpkins and vines are grouped. I had a lot of fun using DCWV's Amber Autumn stack for the patterned papers on this card.
I stamped the sentiment in brown ink and simply hand cut the tag shape.  For the finishing details I added a square of burlap, three buttons matching the colors used in the card, and a bow of chocolate truffle Trendy Twine.
If this card gets you in the fall/Halloween spirit, check out the latest SVG kit from SVG Attic, called Nevermore.

Floral Grandparent's Day Card

Hello everyone!  Grandparents day is just around the corner...the first Sunday after Labor Day (if you didn't already know!)  It seems to always sneak up on me.  This year I decided to cut into my Circa 1934 paper pad by Cosmo Cricket.  It is such a gorgeous vintage stack.  I won it a while back from the ever-so-generous Jessica at SVG Attic (THANK YOU!!).  I started out by going to Pinterest and searching for "Circa 1934 cards" and I found this amazing card.  I was so inspired!  I planned on duplicating it only making it A2 size instead of square.  And all too soon I realized that the paper she had used was apparently from a 6" stack and mine is 12" so the print size was much different and I didn't like the look of mine at all!  So I went back to look at the papers again and was inspired to make the card you see here, still a spinoff of the original, but with my own look to it :)
There is a lot going on with this card.  The lace, the doily die cut (from My Craft Spot), the flower, buttons, bow and sentiment banner (stamp is from Paper Sweeties).  For the flowers I used my Cricut markers and traced around the flower and then switched out the marker for the blade and it cut the flowers out.
Here are all 3 cards for the three sets of grandparents.
