Trendy Bakers Twine~Fall Coffee Card

Hello all! Today I have a cozy fall coffee themed card for the Trendy Twine blog. As the temperatures drop, warm drinks make me smile! I hope this card makes you smile too!
All the patterned papers you see are from DCWV's Fall Gathering stack. The focal point of the coffee cup was die cut with Coffee Break Honey Cuts and the stamped pumpkin was stamped in black ink from APB Hello Fall stamp set. It was popped up with foam tape. The leaves at the bottom were also stamped using the APB Hello Fall stamp set...which happens to be on sale for ONLY $3 right now! Grab it fast! At the bottom of the focal point, I also stamped a sentiment in black from the APB Need Coffee stamp set. To finish off this lovely fall card, my young daughter wanted to braid three strands of Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine together to add more texture and to tie all of the colors together. Didn't she do a great job on that? Adhesives used on the card include ATG, precision glue press, and foam tape.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a full spool of Spiced Pumpkin, consider the Autumn Spice Sampler!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SheetLoad of Anniversary Blessings Cards

Hello all! I am back with another SheetLoad of cards. This time it is anniversary cards. They were created with the May 2024 SheetLoad of Cards sketch and papers from the DCWV Romantic Life stack.
I kept the cards pretty simple. The "anniversary" sentiment was from GMD Happy die coordinating word stamps and stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black. The word "blessings" was created in SCAL and cut out of adhesive vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo
Silver glitter cardstock was around the center focal point, which added sparkle and shine! Adhesives used include ATG, and Bearly Art precision glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Pinochle Birthday Card

Hello all! This was a custom 5x7 card that I created last year for a 90th birthday. It was for someone who loves Pinochle.
I didn't get anywhere to purchase a deck of Pinochle cards, so I scanned and printed cards that I had at home to create those for the front. Patterned paper is from DCWV's Marquee stack. The gorgeous flower was die cut using Sizzix Thinlits Icelandic Poppy die. I printed the 90 onto light blue paper, then die cut around it with a CC stitched circle die, then matted it with a CC scalloped stithed circle die. It was popped up with foam tape. I decided I still wanted a sentiment on the front, so I die cut a small tag and stamped a sentiment in black on it, finishing the tag off with a bow of Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine. For a little extra sparkle, I finished the card off with a trio of silver gems. Other adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue, and ATG.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SheetLoad of Masculine Sympathy Cards

Hello all! I am trying to get caught up a bit with projects I haven't shared with you, so today it is a SheetLoad of masculine sympathy cards.
Patterned papers are from DCWV's Farmstead Harvest 6x6" stack. I used scraps of papers, so I didn't officially make the whole SheetLoad (July 2019), just used the sketch. The focal point was created with Cottage Cutz rectangle dies, Unity stamp set No Better Words and Scrapbook.com Camel and Dark Chocolate inks.
Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glueATG and foam tape. The finishing touch was a trio of Park Lane 3mm gold gems.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The sentiment was also from the same stamp set. Patterned papers are from DCWV's Honey Dear paper pad. Adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. To embellish, I added a trio of GMD New Years sparkle enamel dots.

On to my first project...a set of TWELVE masculine birthday cards.
These were created using Jess Crafts' 12x12 Paper Busting Template #21 sketch.  I simply adjusted the orientation of the card for the two types of cards. This first one uses patterned paper from DCWV's Guy stack and Unity Say It Big dies and stamp set. The stamp was inked with Scrapbook.com Cinnamon ink. The die cut panel was popped up with foam tape. Other adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. GMD Peacock clear enamel dots were the perfect embellishment.
The second set of cards used the same patterned paper, but a different stamp set. This time I used Unity's I Consider You Special stamp set with Scrapbook.com Cinnamon ink and die cut around it with a GMD slash stitched rounded square die. I added two leaf die cuts from the Sizzix Wild Blooms #2 set. The green leaf was inked with SB.com Olive ink and popped up with foam tape. Other adhesives used include Bearly Art precision glue and ATG. GMD Rainbow foil enamel dots were the perfect finishing touch.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello all and Happy Thanksgiving! I wanted to share a card today to let you all know how thankful I am for each and every one of you who read this blog and the Trendy Twine blog. It features the versatile Totally Kraft Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique.

I started with patterned papers from DCWV's Farmstead Harvest 6x6 paper stack. Totally Kraft Trendy Twine was wrapped around the gold panel in two areas and I also glued a bow of Totally Kraft Trendy Twine in the lower right corner. The stamped panel was created with a sentiment from the APB Happy Thanksgiving stamp set and VersaFine Clair Nocturne and leaves from the Raisin Boat Arboretum Leaves stamp set and the following Scrapbook.com inks: Camel, Succulent, Daffodil. Orange Spice, and Cinnamon. That panel was then adhered to the front with foam tape. The other adhesives used on this card were ATG and Bearly Art precision glue.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Happy Christmas Card

Hello all! This month, I am gearing up for Christmas with my posts for the Trendy Twine blog. It is such a fun time of the year to get creative! Today, I am sharing a Christmas card that features Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine.
The patterned papers from DCWV's Hand-Painted Christmas stack have a great retro vibe and matched the colors in Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine perfectly, so those are what I used for the background as well as the fussy cut tree on front. I lined the green paper strip with Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine, adhering it with Bearly Art precision tip glue. the focal point was created with a Kraft Bracket Card with a Cranberry Bracket Card adhered behind it like a shadow. I distressed the outer edge of the Kraft Bracket Card with SB.com Camel ink. Once I glued the tree on the front, I added whimiscal bits of Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine to imitate garland. Bearly Art glue was perfect for that as well. The focal panel was adhered to the card with foam tape. For the sentiment, I used a stamp from the Merry & Bright stamp set in Leather ink, colored the outer edge with extra fine tip Sharpie markers, then also adhered it with foam tape and glue. For a bit of sparkle, I glued a trio of Delightful sequins to the front as well.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a whole spool of Cherry Limeade, consider the Cherry Limeade Trendy Twine Sampler! It includes 10 yards of each of the three Trendy Twines you see below.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Masculine With Thanks Card

Hello all, I am back with another post for the Trendy Twine blog! This month we are spotlighting Bumblebee Trendy Twine, a bright, cheerful twist of black and yellow. It is such a versatile color! Today, I am sharing a masculine card with it.

The patterned papers are from DCWV's Honey Dear stack. I thought they were great for a guy card and the colors were a perfect match with Bumblebee Trendy Twine! The background paper was cut to 4"x5.25" and the yellow plaid strip was cut to 2''x4.75". I then matted the narrow strip with black cardstock cut to 2.25"x5" and cut one end at 1.25" to create both sides of the strip. The cut ends border the outer edges of the card. I used my Crop-A-Dile and 1/18" eyelets and 20" of Bumblebee Trendy Twine to create the lacing area. I did not adhere the yellow strip until after it was loosely laced, then once both sides were glued in place, I tightened the laces and tied a bow.

The focal point was created with a Kraft Bracket Card matted with a black die cut from CC stitched rounded rectangle dies. The toolbench stamp is retired from a SumMore Fun set called Handy Man and was stamped with SB.com Rainy Day ink. The sentiment was from the APB Greetings stamp set (on SALE for only $9!) and was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The Kraft Bracket Card was popped up with foam tape for a little extra dimension.

If you are looking for more inspiration on what you can create with Bumblebee Trendy Twine, you can see some of my past projects using it HERE.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Cheerful Treat Box

We are in the month of May, and that means a new color for the Trendy Twine blog posts! This month we are spotlighting Bumblebee Trendy Twine. I created a cheerful treat box to make someone smile!

I started my project with a Lemon Mini Popcorn Box and using Bearly Art precision glue, adhered Bumblebee Trendy Twine near the top and bottom edges of the box. I then created a die cut flower using papers from DCWV's Honey Dear stack, inked the edges with SB.com Daffodil ink, and layered it with foam tape to stick to the front of the box. A double bow of Bumblebee Trendy Twine and a sentiment stamped in black from the APB Choose Happy stamp set finished off the front of the box.

On the three other sides of the box, I used the centers of Lemon Midnight Trendy Page Dots to embellish! Don't throw those centers away when you use Trendy Page Dots, use them to dress up your projects! They can take the place of sequins or simply add polka dots to add visual interest.

If you are looking for more inspiration on what you can create with Bumblebee Trendy Twine, you can see some of my past projects using it HERE.

Trendy Bakers Twine~You Are 1 Layout

Good morning! I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with a first birthday scrapbook layout for my daughter. It features Tickled Pink Trendy Twine, a beautiful twist of pink and white, perfect for any girly projects!
All the patterned papers are from DCWV's Unicorns & Rainbows stack. It is THE stack of papers to get if you have a unicorn loving person in your life! I matted and adhered the photos first. The green striped matte layers were edged with Scrapbook.com succulent ink. I then made the title using my Silhouette Cameo and SCAL with fonts from my computer. The yellow and purple layers were solid colored cardstock, but the silver layer was adhesive vinyl. I love using that for words! The cardstock layers were adhered with Bearly Art precision glue. Before adding the number one to the layout with foam tape, I glued a 3" paper doily in green to the background paper, then wrapped Tickled Pink Trendy Twine around the 1 and tied it in a knot. I then put the Tickled Pink Trendy Twine up to the balloon, which was inked around with Scrapbook.com Candy Shop Pink ink. After adding a bow of Tickled Pink Trendy Twine on the balloon, I glued Raspberry Cupcake Sequins around the title.
I added a journaling tag to the layout with a Lavender Tag-It, Lemon Midnight Trendy Page DotTickled Pink Trendy Twine, and stamped a sentiment from the Documenting the Everyday #2 stamp set with VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink. The bottom right corner had a unicorn printed on the paper. I simply added a double bow of Tickled Pink Trendy Twine to it's head to fancy it up a bit!
Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

You can find our featured twist of April, Tickled Pink, in the following samplers if you don't need a whole spool.

I inked the edges of the yellow and orange papers with Scrapbook.com inks in Daffodil and Orange Spice. The flame elements were adhered with Bearly Art precision glue. The words were created in Sure Cuts A Lot and were cut out of adhesive vinyl. The dove was also cut with my Silhouette Cameo and was popped up with foam tape

Distress Ink Confirmation Card

Hello all! Today I am sharing a Confirmation card that I created with Distress Inks on the focal panel.
I used Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Fired Brick and inked a large acrylic block, spritzed it with water, then pressed it onto watercolor paper, adding somthing to weigh the block down and left it for 5 minutes. Once I removed the acrylic block, I dried the paper with my heat gun and went to work creating the rest of the card! The background paper was from DCWV's Gold Foil 6x6 paper stack. The cross was die cut from white glitter paper from DCWV's Whites 6x6 paper stack. That die cut was the GMD scroll cross die. I embellished with GMD gold foil enamel dots and used foam tape to pop up a sentiment that was stamped from Raisin Boat's Handle With Prayer set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and clear embossing powder.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Tag Tuesday~Happy Day Tag Cards

Good morning! I am back with another Tag Tuesday project for the Trendy Twine blog. This time, it is a little different. I created cards that have a focal point of a tag instead of just decorating a tag. I love the extra visual interest a tag adds to cards!
The four cards are created in the same manner, but have different tag/twine combinations. The card layout was inspired by the December 2019 SheetLoad of Cards sketch. All cards have papers from DCWV's Get It Girl stack. The first two cards used Lemon Tag-ItsKraft Brown Trendy Page Dots, and Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine. The sentiment from Pink and Main's Birthday Wishes stamp set was stamped on all the tags with VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink.
This second style of tag was created with a White Tag-ItLemon Midnight Trendy Page Dot, and Totally Lemon Trendy Twine
The final style of tag was created with a Kraft Tag-ItLemon Midnight Trendy Page Dot, and Stormy Trendy Twine. Adhesives used include ATG, Scotch foam tape, and Bearly Art precision glue. The cards were embellished with Sunny Yellow Pearl Pen dots and thin gold nail art tape.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
Lemon Tag-Its
